I love the fact that the militia in that game shouts in Portuguese and then translate the key words to English so they make sure the enemies understand their tactics
african militia in MW3 do the same thing, they'll say something in their native language and then repeat it in english

@bLackstar If you're in a Rear Echelon, yeah. But you're gonna want the extra protection, camo, and markings of the uniform when out on the front or on patrols.

Was the AI designed differently for each faction? It would make sense that the militia is more aggressive and takes more risks to give the player more opportunity to shoot while TF141 is more conservative to show the player how to use cover...
In the game, the militia and most enemies just do whatever it takes to eliminate the player, even coming to coming closer to you and hitting you with the gun (melee)
Meanwhile, the IW engine AI uses mostly cover-chekpoints. the map is segmented in areas and the NPC soldiers will follow the player to the area he is currently, then actively seek for objects/terrain that can cover them, then start defending themselves. They will not advance on its own until the player crosses to the next area, except for scripted situations. So they fight more cautious. But also probably have worse aim (to make the game challenging to the player)
@@ErniLandia I noticed this AI behavior too in CoD 2. I would use it for my advantage in veteran difficulty, I would advance as much as possible and let the friendly npcs distract and kills the enemies since they would respawn indefinitely
The militia is the worst one to be fighting in Veteran mode. Alongside their multiple gimmicks, they get increased accuracy, damage and all that while being the most numerous faction. It's HELL, try playing takedown on veteran and you'll wish you'd never picked up the game in your life

This is very cinematic and entertaining. It runs just like a movie. Especially the part at [1:54] where the camera follows the athletic guy around before he gets gunned down and then transfers to another character.
It would be awesome to recreate this, frame-by-frame, with real life actors.
It is funny how russian soldiers never say something in english when in combat, while the brazilian militia speak a lot of it, lol

Mason Allison, we don't, I mean I do, and obviously there are people who does, but if you go out on the streets of Brazil looking for people that know English it will not be a common sight.
@@logger22 yeah, but no. Most people in Brazil don't speak frequently, specially people in the favelas, for their living condition, don't speak in english, just barely know the basic of the basic. Even more the militians who most are recruited in a young age
0:34 Funny thing about this rifle. Its called FAL. For a long time it was the standard rifle of the military police in Brazil, thats why many drug dealers use it too. His version is exclusive to the 7.62 NATO standard and not the 5.56 that showed up in the game and doesn't even exist. Activision back then was pretty relaxed about the details.

@@Arty014 Depende do estado. Lugares como DF e principalmente São Paulo por exemplos nao se ver fal nem nos cursos de formação. E logo o msm vai acontecer com o IA2 que ja ta em faze de ser substituído pelo fuzil SCAR 556 pra PMESP.

Awesome video, love watching these! Could you do an NPC wars on the 'Of Their Own Accord' and/or 'Whiskey Hotel' missions between the American Army Rangers and the Russian Spetsnaz? I think that would be amazing to watch especially with COD MW2CR's stunning graphics and atmosphere it brought to those iconic levels; and not to forget the amazing score by Hans Zimmer on those levels as well.

You know what would what be an interesting NPC battle in MW2?
US Army Rangers vs Shadow Company.
Always wondered how that would go down because we mostly saw General Shepherd with the Rangers up until he betrayed Task Force 141, then switched to his private militia. Probably because the real Rangers would’ve brought his ass down for treason if the saw what he did.
It would be cool to have Military vs Paramilitary.
I actually tried to create that battle yesterday in museum level but it was glitchy because of the "do not press" button and they didn't fight each other. Sadly there is no way to create that battle other than museum because AI spawner only spawns NPCs from the current mission and Shadow Company and Rangers never appear in the same mission.
@@NPCUniverse Aw damn, I was kinda hoping for that because it was never done. I don’t think it’s doable on the original MW2 engine either.
Hmm I do wonder, what if Task Force 141 had the US Force Recon Marines in a joint operation on the Oil Rig level? Seems like the Marines kept taking a backseat in MW2 only being used for extraction and cleanup.

I love that in CoD, NPC actually fight and can die (you know they are like player). Not like in most games they fight but they deal 1 dmg, but they can die on 3 hit.

The two missions in Brazil "Takedown" and "The Hornet's Nest", along with "No Russian," are the only missions where weapon camouflage isn't present
Guess it makes sense since they're supposed to be blending in. Though I wonder, does roach wear camo in the mission? I could never figure out if his shirt was camo or not

I spent a lot of time recreating these battles but all the AI behind cover could do was run for cover and that was it
From the look of the video you should be placing a lot of AI at a waypoint And activate all AI at once to fight?
