Here in Australia those cr500 in mint condition go anywhere from 15 to 20k. Even the old cr125 and cr250 go for big dollars. I got 91 cr125 and been offered 6k
Damn thats crazy high $ but they are not cheap or easy to find in good shape for a reasonable price in the US. All the old 2 strokes are going up in value but a 500 is gold

He wasn't even pushing it to top dead centre lol you push the kickstart down slowly till you feel the piston stop at the top of he cylinder then give it one big kick and it will fire up 100% hence the saying top dead centre and fill the handle bars with silicone helps reduce vibration 👌
You know exactly what you are saying... i do that everytime when i kick my yz426f. I use my left foot thou because my right foot was damaged in an accident... it's a technique that most riders haven't learned

@@edwardstroko4665 i learned the technique... i even hand crank these modern bikes now because their compression is way easier than these older bikes
I learnt from riding old big 2 strokes my 89 Rm 250 slingshot and kx 250 you could kick it like that constantly and it would not start unless it was TDC all that bike needed was the right technique to kick it and the air fuel mixture screw ajusting i always start with screw the air screw all all the way in and 2 1/2 turns out (the lil screw on side of the carb) and go from there then ajust idle screw till it idles nice (the bigger screw next to it ) i can see why he dont like showing people because if he did he wouldn't get custom from guys like this 😄 if your ofto buy a bike learn the basics riding is expensive enough without paying for a simple tune
@@oreocookie2837 I have an 01 wr426 it's easy once you get the technique I hated it at first but I can start it in regular shoes as long as it's tuned right

I stalled a ktm 250 4stroke in deep clay when I was 14 couldn’t kick it compression was to high had to wait 2 hours for my freinds to come rescue 🤣

Think about it like this that 500cc 2 stroke is faster than some motorcycles top speed definitely way more than 60 just needs the right sprocket my 250cc hits 85 my 125cc hits 70 my 49cc hits 55 on a downhill

I just bought a 01 Yz426f and bro once you get the sequence down it’s so easy to start any bike up. It’s sketchy when the one time pulls up but once it’s running they ain’t catching you!

It ain’t nothing like that. He’s not used to kickstarting a motorcycle correctly especially a dirtbike though your leg hurt like you’re riding it. Use your right leg get on that compression stroke jump up and kick down the hill. That’s how they start. It’s very complex I mean, sorry not complex it’s very easy as hell it is not complex is what I meant to say, you just got a new how to find top dead center for any motorcycle will start probably with a Care and I ride Harleys with kickers and dirt bikes and four wheelers but I also grew up racing motocross 15 years
