Toothless smile. Wait are you on KP forum? Bcs someone posted the same exact one. And now birel just released the new s18 chassis with the kg 509 nassau.
My friend sent me the photos from a discord server. They most likely all came from the same places Yes I saw the Birel is out with the 509 Nassau and what could possibly be a new nose cone aswell? Sadly I’m away at a track this weekend so won’t be able to do anything
People might not agree with me but as a dad watching his 9 year old son race around the track I wish there could some kind of f1 style halo or something similar that could give head on protection. Twice in 1 month I witnessed a kart spinning directly in front of another going into a corner and the kart behind been in a situation that's unavoidable due to been really close and then hitting the kart in front mounting up the nassau panel with the front nose cone hitting the child's head. I just can't help thinking that one day a child, junior or adults head might get knocked all the way back breaking the neck or even worse. Luckily on both occasions each child never received any serious injury but the visor on the helmet on one of the child's helmet was cracked. Obviously this sport is dangerous and you have to except that, but Karts have had the same similar shape now for years, I would love to see some more radical changes in design even if it does start looking more like a mini F1 car with a body all around the driver with a halo.
@helmetculture Your exactly right and I stand corrected. Not long after I put that comment on my son was involved in a crash, a kart lost control in a hairpin right in front of him resulting in him colliding with the kart in front and flipping him over, my son fell out in mid hair as my son and the kart went upside down. When he fell out and hit the ground the kart then landed partially on my sons helmet. The helmet did its job and protected him and apart from a few bruises and the adrenaline kicking in making him feeling slightly sick he was OK. The stewards and track doctor which were at the scene were talking to me and they said that's why selt belts are not on karts so that in the event this kind of accident happens the driver head wouldn't take all the impact weight if the kart flips completely over. So yea thank you @helmetculture your correct. My understanding of the sport as changed after that accident involving my son.
🦈
What you are referring to as KR as the manufacturer, but it is actually a Parolin part. The Parolin/KR is the Eurostar Dynamica line of bodywork
Thanks for clearing that up for me bud 👌🏼
I was still thinking about if KG will going to publish the KG-509 after OTK's M11 before sleep last night and then it's out today🤯
Hah yeah. I suspect the Eurostar (Kart Republic) will be hot on the heels

Really? Doesn't do crap on sprint tracks. Another gimmick to justify ridiculous prices.
💯

Mate that's like saying a moto GP bike should have a halo.
Karting you are meant to get AWAY from the vehicle. That's why there's no belts
