    I received a SOMA cube puzzle as a child in the 70's. I still have it along with the original manual. There are 1,105,920 combinations of assembling the seven pieces to make a cube. Quite a scientific puzzle with some real history if you dig a bit. Nice video.

    Great little fun build Kenny i love it and especially at this time of year as well, like you said it can be any size you want as long as it's a cube. Thanks for the video and idea.

    Kenny, the scraps keep getting smaller and the projects keep getting better. I love this puzzle!!! I thought for sure you were going to have use wait until Alternative Tuesday for the solution, thanks for including it in this video. Thanks for the great video.

      Dollar Tree cubes are too many different sizes. For a little bigger investment, try the cubes from Home Depot. Bigger and better.

    Nice work!
    I just made one of these puzzles but with a different layout. The only problem is that I made it from a picture that I found and have no idea how to solve it.
    Now I don't know if I built it correctly or just can't solve it 😂
    I also used CA glue with some quick activator, it worked really well but you need to be careful not to glue it to your square as well.

      Well I hope that it's just a matter of not being able to figure it out right now and not that you made it incorrectly. Making it incorrectly would make it the worlds HARDEST cube puzzle. LOL. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to chime in with your comments.

    I’m a beginner. How did you make the little cubes?

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  3 роки тому

      There are several ways that you could make them Herbert. You can cut them on a mitre saw. You can cut them on a table saw using a sled. You can cut them with a scroll saw. A safer method would be on a band saw but the safest method of all would be using a hand saw and a mitre box. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show.

    I was hoping to see you string them together because the one my grandson had broke and I was trying to fix it maybe you can make one for the situation in another video if you do know of a video available for that now perhaps you can pass it on? ☺️

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  2 роки тому

      Do a search on UA-cam Annabella for "Making a snake cube puzzle". You will find some videos there of how these are made and hopefully you will be able to restring your grandson's puzzle. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show. It's appreciated.

    ANNNND(swipe..smash) there you have it......
    Man Tetris in 3'd???..I can't even play the dang thing it two!!!!lol
    Cool build though. Fast and easy.
    Side note; Have you ever tried gluing two parts together,
    sliding them together a few times, then separating them for a few seconds,
    and reattaching them. It honestly seems to make the glue tack up a lot better.
    Take care.
