My husband was going to try replacing the light bulb BUT after watching your video we are just going to take it to the dealer… lol… that’s way too much work just to replace the darn light bulb. And thanks for your help. 🙏🙌
Ok, my bottom two bolts on each headlights were almost impossible to remove. The stupid lock nut kept moving. Even when I used vise gripes, the stupid bolt kept moving. After lots of elbow grease was able to get three off but the fourth one even broke my vise grip. So I cut the stupid screw off. When I installed the new headlight assembly, I got rid of that stupid bolt setup and went back to the simple bolt and nut.
Mine came out great only issue I have a slightly larger gap between the bumper and the front of the hood on the right side. In that corner where the pointy edge of the bumper meets the front of the hood. Any suggestions? Thanks
You can use a washer on the screw that holds the bumper on the headlight on the top, basically where the edge is. I wouldn't touch factory installed screws that are aligned to make headlights fit.
Im having problems with the first two screws that are underneath the headlight. Mine didnt come out by just unscrewing them. Mine have some nuts and they spin with the screw, help?
Very helpful video! My left parking light malfunction, can I replace just the light bulb or have to replace the module? can’t find any video about how to replace the XENON Parking light specifically. Thank you.
you can replace just the xenon bulb. I advise you to buy and replace both (left side and right side). and pay attention to the color of the lamp (3000k yellower light, 6000k whiter light). watch this video ua-cam.com/video/BWduI7cQAkA/v-deo.htmlsi=xoHGhO49mNcKAJbh
Thank you so much for the speedy reply, Fernando! I thought the parking light is a separate light bulb from the one u changed in that video. So it’s basically the same bulb? Thank you for making such informative and helpful videos!
you have to remove the headlight carefully to avoid scratches. I had no scratches even though it looks like in the video. But you are right, you have to remove the headlight carefully
When i put mine back I have a hard time positioning it correctly with the fender and bumper angle. I cant seem to get it right theres always gap. What can I do ?
Oh okay. I think the LED module is working because the light under the angel eye is turned on but it is dim. That side of the car was involved in a collision which might have pushed the module inwards. What do you think?

The Daytime lights does not working on right side, also warning on dashboard for DayTime headlights. I suspect the led modules and driver module. I know The driver module can replace easily from wheel side. How about led modules, is it needs remove bumper or headlight fully? Thank u so much
@@fernandomontenegroBMW Hey man, nice video. My angel eye LED closest to the grill on the passenger side is out. Can that replaced without removing the whole set-up? It looks like you might be able to access the screws without taking the entire headlight out. Thoughts?
My passenger side headlight assembly has a large gap where it butts up against the outer edge of kidney grill. Would I have to loosen all 6 screws that hold assembly in place to do this? ( basically push headlight assembly over towards center of car )
"German engineering"....what a joke...They could learn a lot from the Japanese or even American car companies. The most convoluted assembly and design process ever devised by man.
@@fernandomontenegroBMW Of course. And you certainly look like you know what you're doing. I replaced assemblies on almost every brand, except BMW and VW, the two most difficult ones. To replace the bulb you I screw the round cap on top of the light to change the bulb. This is for removing the entire fixture
if ur only changing the bulb u dont have to take the whole headlight assembly off lol.
This is NOT a bulb replacement video! It's a Headlight unit replacement - the bulb swap is required because they didn't come with the unit.

So how long about to take it out and put it back in? An hour? Can you take out without removing wheel? Just turning wheel sharply?
if you don't remove the wheel, you won't have room to work. I recommend removing the wheel. it can take between 30 minutes to an hour
