I remember I had a girl friend who was unable to smell anything... That was my 3 weeks world record of not taking any shower and she didin't noticed anything! But because my noze worked well, I had to eventually take a long and cleaning worked shower. But worth it!

I love the no crowds. I dont know why, I just love this sooo much. Wish Conan would keep doing interviews like this.
Live audiences slow the show down significantly when they're told to laugh at literally everything, and the host has to wait for them to shut up so he/she can have another 4 seconds to talk before they laugh again

The difference between an in-person interview and a Zoom interview was never more apparent. Just a different energy. BTW - the Airwolf theme is awesome.
It's way different, isn't it. It brings a different life to Conan. The last piece missing is the audience tho. He thrives most with an audience.

The podcast was great too. The questions were most probably given to him in advance but the banter had to be spontaneous.
I mean of course they have a general script and he knows the questions beforehand but he probably doesnt really think his answers through, just thinks of a general idea of what he is about to say

I've now rewatched this 3 times. Their chemistry is amazing. Conan is such a natural host, Kimmel and Fallon could take lessons. Also just an FYI, Breaking Bad is still the best written show in the history of television.

Im a huge Conan fan and to me he is one of the best late night talk show host. But these are the types of interviews I love, just 30 minutes of straight conversation with some friendly banter. Im starting to realize I like this better without an audience.
His podcast with Sona is great too. It's so funny

I think Conan has such reverence and admiration for Cranston. You can tell it's really a fan interviewing an actor, not just two stars chatting.

Because Boomers are aging better than any previous generation. A lot of it goes back to the fitness craze that lasted from around 1978 to 1990, aka "the hardbody decade."
I hope he never gets plastic surgery. It would ruin him. We don’t want to see Walter White with Botox. He is a good looking man. Don’t change a thing.

I wrote my oral communication paper on theme songs of early 90's tv shows. It was the most appreciated one in the class by far! People where crying and laughing during my presentation. These theme songs hold a place in our hearts.

I've only realized this now when I've watched this that Bryan Cranston is such a great story-teller.
I love when the guest and Conan are going back and forth like this. Isn't just there to plug a project but actually engages and has some give and take.

This is the first talk show I've ever watched or listened to without a laughtrack and still be this good or even better than how it usually is with a laughtrack

It’s so interesting to hear them talk about the old days. I’d love to hear more about this stuff. I didn’t even know it was THAT EASY to get a job back in the 70s😯 times definitely have changed. (I’m 22 years old btw)
This format brings such reality and freshness to the format, i hope it catches on, one of the best interviews ever.
Conan has always been THE talk show host that can hold his own show with or without the help of his audience, and doesn't need his guests to help make the show fun.
Conan and Andy are enough. The guests just come by to have fun.
Tldr ; hosts hate their audience 90% of the time
I dont think a single talk show host needs an live audience to attract tv viewers its done for the single purpose of selling expensive tickets. No host rlly likes their audience cus theyre told to laugh at every joke and that can have kind of a duality to it cus, when the audience is great and laugh at every joke, the show will seem extra funny. But theres nothing worse than having laugher and then taking it away. Makes every terrible joke that much more ugly. I do like conan more than most talk show hosts thoguht cus he can hold a conversation that is both engaging and fun (and no cheap drama at the expense of the interviewee)

How is cranston so down to earth? its like his the opposite of normal celebrtiy actors, and he just exudes this sense of authenticity yet at the same time he is such a versatile actor.
Damn, interviews don't really get much better than this. Two of the best entertainers alive who play off each other so well and so organically.
I can't believe Bryan was in Airwolf, that was like my favorite show when I was a kid. That helicopter was so awesome it stole the show. Really amazing, funny and refreshing interview, I enjoyed it a lot!! I'm totally looking up that Airwolf episode!!

Am i the only one who liked Airwolf? It was airing in my country in late 90s, when i was a kid, and i loved to watch it.
Bryan's story of meeting his wife was so goddamned heartwarming.
Also, the Airwolf theme will always be one of the all-time classics.
Man it's been a while since I watched Conan and it's really cool how it's become podcasty due to quarantine. No audience, no BS, just conan, andy and the guest. Kind of like The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder.

These interviews are just so personal and intimate. Love these more than the previous setting. Maybe one of the good things that came out of the pandemic.
Connan should’ve mentioned the time he went to Mexico City and a person mentioned he looked like ‘Malcom’s dad’.
This interview was great! I still miss the more serious part of Conan - like Serious Jibber-Jabber, and I think he'll be great on Actors Roundtable (to be interviewed or to be the host).
So best of things to see these interviews as full! Have been missing Conan show here in Finland, where we do not see it at all anymore. At least there has been the UA-cam clips and Conan Needs a friend podcast :)

Conans laugh is so great I actually enjoy these more than with an audience. Just like being on a fly on the wall with incredibly funny and smart people.
For some reason I respect and appreciate these few laughs at a time in the background over a giant audience. They feel a lot more genuine when I laugh along.

I didn't see Airwolf for like 25 years, but the theme song is firmly burned to my brain, so it instantaneously snapped back in as soon as Bryan mentioned it. A masterpiece of 80s/90s cheese.
Your "Late Night" legacy is safely set in exactly the same way you launched. Authentic. Humorous. Unique. Fresh. Different. These conversations with so many celebrities and accomplished people will enrich (and entertain) the viewer no matter how long it takes them to discover (or rediscover) you! Thank you for decades of excellent entertainment Conan.
