Nice looking vehicle, inside and out. Turning radius and crab walk were impressive. Unfortunately the issue with all EVs will be the long distance driving. These vehicles maybe great for urban driving but for rural living, long distance driving and trailering, the ultimate solution would be a hybrid.

The noise of the wheel/motor whine would drive me nuts. The creaking and cracking from the glass above is terrible. Like you said Don if they put a v8 duramax in the hummer I think they would sell better. I don’t think I’d ever go full electric. Canada doesn’t have the infrastructure to have an ev full time unless you live in a big city.
I reserved an Edition 1 during the few hours they were available. Almost exactly 2 years later I received an email telling me I could actually take my reservation number to the dealer and order the vehicle. After a week I stopped by the dealer and asked for my deposit back. I had not seen, touched, or driven one.
I thought all the lunar stuff was lame and that big screen was just stuck to the rectangular dash. The newer pickup EV really looks better to me. I kept my Avalanche 18 years. I really liked the covered bed and pass thru. I have had a Suburban in my fleet since 1986 with a few Corvettes just for fun.

Great video Don! The 2025s don't creak as much from what I have read online. I just took delivery of a 25' 2x pickup and mine doesn't creak at all.

If they put a gas or diesel engine in those vehicles they would sell so many. I’m still a fan though.
All EV owners should have a plug station at there Homes plus every gas station in America should have at least 4 recharging stations per gas ⛽️ even rural areas come on EV game is not working
Infrastructure is certainly behind the pace. I think every multi-vehicle household needs at least one ICE powered car or truck.

I love the Hummer SUV and Truck and would buy one if they offered it in gas or diesel. It is a 10,000 pound vehicle with over 3,000 pounds just for the battery and battery accessories (heat and cooling). In Canada your battery will use a ton of its stored energy to keep it warm in the winter. Cut that 650KM range in half in winter and charge time is incredibly long since it has one of the largest batteries in the EV market. I have no interest in an EV Hummer even at half the cost.
Facts I am also aware of and can’t ignore. The idea of out of warranty electric vehicles also freaks me out.
Nice looks sweet.... ... $30,000 more than my truck. 23 Silverado ZR2 6.2L. Suprised no solar panels to get free energy to help with distance driving. My anxiety for battery life would be off the chart going overlanding.

I have to say The Mrs. first statements about the Mower Battery was a great descriptor of what you can expect with EV’s right now. If the technology would allow quicker charging would be a benefit to the market now. EV’s require a lot of planing when driving trips or around town. The cost! Sorry but $130 to $160000 is just too much. The self battery maintenance is good, but it too will have an effect on mileage. Nice to see the Mrs. as much as we did, very attractive woman. You’re a lucky guy and I bet she tells you that frequently. Haha.

People that haven't driven EV's ALWAYS hate them lol..I used to be one, until I drove a Tesla Model 3 LR..I went in VERY skeptical...ordered one soon after. Battery range and charging times are getting better every year..don't hate them till you try them!!!
Im just not convinced on full electric yet. Especially gor domething that's meant to be a "utility" vehicle

Very quiet and works great. No issues with infotainment center and I dont really miss Apple Carplay, which in have in my 21 Sierra
I think I’ve seen one on the road in my area since they’ve been out. Overheard Salesmen complaining how long it takes to charge them at the dealer
