Longhorn has always had the best chicken tenders and honey mustard. Have memories of my pops getting off his shift at night and bringing me some every week
For everyone that have never experienced longhorn, yes, the tenders are that good, they are hand-breaded, a recommendation for the "The longhorn" (the steak he ordered, I ever order that one) you can ask for parmesan crust and they will give you the steak covered in cheese, if you choose fries as one of the sides, you can ask for bacon and cheese on top of it, idk how much you get charged for those additions but, you are not going to regret it, you can ask for A1 sauce and hot sauce (they give you tabasco one) that goes really good with their rice, Arnold Palmer and strawberry lemonade are my favorite drinks (especially strawberry lemonade).
I worked there they have the freshest food ever steaks never frozen produce is always pristine the way they handle everything is superb too. I only left because i found a higher paying job. Really is a solid restaurant.
I work back of house at a Longhorn and bro nothing hits harder than tossing like three of them in buffalo sauce and making a sandwich with some shredded lettuce. It's free.
I've never had a bad experience at any restaurant... except for cheesecake factory, or whatever its called. That was the only time I wanted to leave before the food even got there
Bro, every time I go to Longhorn I get the chicken tenders. They got a little smaller since the pandemic, cause they had to cut cost. They used to be huge, but still they taste so good. And they got GREAT ranch, also the Wild west shrimp is the best appetizer 👍
If you like the ranch you can ask for some! Idk if it's everywhere but the one I work at let's us give to go containers for condiments, and not the little ones lol
Where I'm from we don't have a lot of niche fancy restaurants... but we do have a longhorns! So my family and I go there when we are celebrating. I always have a good meal, no complaints.
Longhorn is quality, consistently. I went with my son when he was 5, and he still asks for it until this very day as a teen. Never had a bad meal there.
A few years back I had to stay for a week at a random hotel in Georgia that had a Longhorn sharing the parking lot. I ate every meal there for a week and didn’t have a single complaint. They are rock solid for a chain.
Longhorn Wild West shrimp is my food addiction that I just can’t help but order every now and then. If you even slightly like fried seafood & peppers you’ll literally melt over that meal and they give you SO much fried shrimp.
I bought some stock recently. Longhorn is part of Darden Restaurants (DRI ticker), they pay a growing dividend and are undervalued when compared with peers like Texas Roadhouse. They also own Olive Garden and various other grill/steakhouses in the mid-range but are notable for having a couple of high-end brands as well which enable for improvements and higher quality ingredients to trickle down.

Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse are both VERY solid contenders for chains. The one time I had Outback, over 10 years ago, the steak was like rubber. My only complaint about the former two is that they could use a lot more seasoning on their steaks and the employees generally have no idea whether they're serving choice or prime cuts. They're choice, if you're wondering.
The quality of your meal at any given restaurant depends on the person in the kitchen that is working that day and how much they care about what they do for a living
It varies pretty heavily location to location. The Longhorn near me has some kind of vendetta against getting a good sear on their steaks. The one 2 hours away amazing.
Yeah it's honestly better than Outback. My favorite cut is the porterhouse. I get it when I go grocery shopping and I get it every time at a steakhouse
For the money with an appetizer I'd say get the wild west shrimp lol those peppers are awesome. We portion out a mix of cherry peppers, pimiento peppers and pepperoncini pepeprs and some garlic butter in a bag. It slaps and we can just dump it on top of anything, it's great to mix it with stuff as a kitchen employee who can cook whatever he wants lol
Brother, if you’re reading in a comment, compare the entire dinner that he had at Longhorn to just the appetizers at outback. I need you to rethink your life choices.
That's like saying you can't compete with Applebee's appetizers, everything at outback is prepackaged frozen low quality bullshit except the tuna, which is overpriced and generic.
Longhorn is legit. I went there this Friday for the first time. The steak was bit chewier than I’d like, but it and everything else was still delicious.
I miss this place so much! We need these in the Northwest both in Washington and Oregon. The only ones in the entire Northwest currently are located in Boise and Twin Falls ID! We need more here in the Northwest. Please bring more to the Northwest and we have a lot of new plaza's being built here in Ridgefield WA and IN-N-OUT Burger is building one here, so we need a good steakhouse in the area. The closes decent steakhouse is either Outback in Vancouver WA or Texas Roadhouse in Eugene OR!
Usually when I work at restaurants I’ll get tired of the food pretty quickly but when I was serving at longhorn that’s probably all my diet consisted of 😅 I love the bone in ribeye & brussels sprouts
That sad part is- six years ago i went to a high end restaurant and was shocked by the 35 dollar price tag on a porterhouse.....now its pretty much the norm
the lunch specials! I started going there with co-workers and realized it was way better than eating fast food for the same price depending on what you order of course.
When they rotate their seasonal menu and strawberries are back in, try their strawberry shortcake with whipped topping to finish out the meal. It's a great ending. The roasted brussel sprouts are good too.
The best chicken tenders on the market are at Yard House, during happy hour you can get 6 tenders and fries for $6 in SoCal, which is cheaper than any fast food place around here. They look similar to these ones too they’re super good
Not gonna lie, those chicken tenders are looking so good

Steaks take 7-11 minutes to throw on a pan. They're what I make when I don't want to cook because everything takes 2 hours 😂

That sounds amazing
Get a 10 oz salmon with blackened seasoning, some lemons and tabasco. Thank me later :)) as an employee its my favorite thing to get lmao
The parmesan cheese crust is amazing. I get it every time.
If you need A1 it’s not good. So what are you saying??
@@bmthornell I said it's an option, I have never tried that, just Tabasco sauce. Pretty good meal and not that expensive.
Those chicken tenders are expensive!!
Maybe, but at least they look good. Everything costs more when you dine out

Yeah, could make more than 6 tenders for cheaper if you make it yourself
Not really. Six GOOD chicken tenders for 14 bucks is not a bad deal in a restaurant.
