    I had to chuckle at the snap on electric ratchet and then a crescent wrench for back up lol

    Nicely done! The only thing I have done differently is just to only disconnect one wishbone at a time; the other one will keep the one you are working on in place, which will be extra helpful for anyone that has a bad lower engine/transmission mount they don't know about.

      That does help also if the car is on a hill or something. It was pretty easy in this case to move the engine by hand though.

    kinda wished i used some grease on one of mine, i got the bushing in, it didnt want to go all the way in and be flush with the metal lip, but in the end i got the bushing in and the metal sleeve in, and the sleeve opening doesnt line up with the mounting holes for the engine, would i have to disassemble the bushing and try again?

      Adding a cooler may help but could be signs of trans or torque converter problems

    Will it cause vibrations?

    • @carnage50x
      @carnage50x 5 років тому +1

      Chicken Foundation no. he has the stiffest top mounts set up before vibration is added. flipped mounts with poly dog bones. the last thing he can do (unless he's already done it) is get solid rubber lower engine mount. after that you're maxed out in stiffness before vibration is added.

    I'd be afraid of that grease eating the urethane!!!

    • @SternLX
      @SternLX 2 місяці тому

      Use a Silicon Grease, it's safe for Polyurethane. Energy Suspension(the mfg of these bushings from ZZP) sells a silicone grease specifically for Polyurethane bushings. It's called Formula 5 Prelube. You can get it at O'Reilly Auto parts. If you can't get any, a quality Lithium grease will work as well. Do not use Petroleum based lubes on Polyurethane bushing. It will soften the them relatively quickly. I speak from experience when I first tried Poly bushing out 20 years ago and ignored the warning on the package. Energy Suspension Rep was like "You did WHAT!?"

    I would like to see a video with links about strut tower braces. Have decided to do some minor mods on my 2002 GTP. I am thinking cold air, TPS mod, and PCM flash. I don't want a massive power increase, just more responsiveness. I was not aware of the poly dogbones before.

    • @SalemDoyle
      @SalemDoyle  5 років тому +1

      i may get around to strut braces eventually. but tightening up the mounts deffinantly helps with responsiveness
