Kate Winslet is a natural blonde but she needed to stay a redhead. Regardless, she's naturally beautiful which, I've noticed is a rare thing nowadays.😕
This entire video is a DREAM come true! It's so amazing and refreshing to witness the actual Titanic makeup artist recreating Kate's look from twenty years ago. Titanic is one of my favorite films ever, and I recently dyed my hair to an exact "Rose" red and now I'm very excited to try to apply this makeup. Thank you Lisa!! 💕
As a huge and obsessive titanic fan, this was such a treat, Thank you!!!! wanted to add, I believe "Chocolate Kiss" by Besame cosmetics for her day look or lightly mixed with their "Red Velvet" for her dinner look are near spot on dupes to the lippie shades Tina used on Rose! :)
Divaliciousbeauty123 I think that is the actual point,as the model has to look somewhat similar to the desired inspired look,so that viewers can see the similarity between the model and the original😊
The EXACT PRODUCTS used on Kate's lips in the movie were: The Body Shop Lip Liner in Beech (still available!) Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté in Legendary Mocha (since discontinued, but there's pictures so you can find dupes!) blend both over entire mouth to give a natural look. Shiseido Pink Lip Corrector outside mouth for a clean image (from what I can tell, its just a lip treatment/balm) This was from an interview with Tina Earnshaw from Makeup411 in Makeup Artist Magazine. I have the full breakdown if anyone wants me to post it:)
Tina seems so sweet and down to earth. With all the faces she's done, and "Titanic" being 20 years old, I'm impressed she can remember so many details!
AceMyPlace well I mean she is an actual artist, hence the term “makeup artist” (don’t let youtube makeup artists fool u lol) so artists generally treasure their work so I’m not suprised she remembers so much. This would’ve been a massive part of her career considering titanic was so iconic so I don’t think she could forget it if she tried! She would definitely remember it. The same way many other artists remember the details of their work, no matter how much time has passed.
this is so lovely! I just love how almost half of beauty youtubers do "Rose inspired makeup", and Lisa just invites an actual makeup artist from the movie to show everyone how it was done on set )))
The joy I get from seeing a real makeup artist at work. Not caring about the price or packaging of the product or whether its the newest latest release. Just, simply, using products that work with techniques that suit them to create a beautiful makeup. I am ALWAYS saying makeup is more about the process and the journey not regimented how-tos and rules that one must follow. I couldn't love this more! Thanks Lisa and Tina ❤❤❤
Oh. My. Gosh. Rose makeup by the actual artist, this is a dream come true! I feel like an excited, perfectly happy child in front of the best gift ever. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING, Lisa! Tina Earnshaw's work is truly beautiful. What a treat. x Davie
What I love about the more experienced make-up artists is that they always say that their method is just what works for them, not an absolute truth... Whereas the younger beauty gurus are more like "You have to use this conceiler from this brand in this color and in this way... Anyway here's my discount code" 😂
And I love how she says that she had to use so much foundation because of filming in cold water ect. where as the new mua's wear that much for a "no makeup"-look :D
One of the prettiest looks I've ever seen. Love how she only uses what is necessary and no more to achieve the look she wants-no heavy brow products only a brush through with a wand, no muddy contour, no glitter ball highlight, no heavy eye makeup, just soft washes of subtle colour where needed. And that little trick of using blush under and on the chin is something I do too, it really warms up the face. I've seen it done to great effect on actresses- e.g. Holliday Grainger in 'Lady Chatterley's Lover ', and she had a similar Edwardian no makeup-makeup look in that. A true pro at work here. The work of world class professional makeup artists like this lady and Lisa really is so far removed from that of youtube gurus.
I love watching professional artists, because they just go in - there is no hesitation, now concern over how the final product will look. It's simply applying the makeup and then correcting any mistakes, and it's beautiful.
This so lovely! Such a treat! This makes me think about how much I would love to see a video with a makeup look inspired by Liv Tyler's role in Lord of the Rings; Arwen.
What an amazing video ! Earnshaw is so talented that I've never realised how "heavy" Rose's make-up was in Titanic. Thank you Lisa and Tina for that iconic look on a lovely model.
an absolute masterclass in “less is more” even when doing a costumed look, bravo Lisa - because of this I can’t see why this couldn’t just be an everyday look, quite a demure look
I love how she uses Clé de Peau, La Prairie, and Rimmel and NYX all in the same video. Such a nice mix between luxury products and very affordable ones!
I always try to make note when Lisa does this too! So cool to know they use all kinds of products - I try to especially make note what types of products where you can obviously get professional quality at high street prices (lipstick, blusher, mascara) and where it seems it might be best to invest a bit more $$ (powder, highlighter)
Kevin R watching actual makeup artists at work is truly an entertaining experience. I mean, there is a reason they’re called “artists”, it really is art! But now almost everyone is a “makeup artist” so it’s lost a bit of its spark unfortunately.
I love when you have guest artists, Lisa. It's amazing to see the pure artistry, and how different each artist's techniques are from each other. I feel like I learn a lot. This is something that differentiates your channel from many others, and I just love it.
Can you please do kiera knightleys makeup in pride and prejudice? Her makeup was so simple and beautiful and I'm sure no one would recreate it like you!
I could listen to her talk for hours, she's so gentle but direct with her words, she's truly an amazing artist who amplified the beauty already Infront of her, and she truly knows her time periods as well, I hope one day I use this for my wedding or a gorgeous event (though I may pile on the makeup on most days) this look truly let's natural beauty shine and I can appreciate that.
This ladies and gentlemen is a real artist! Such a refreshing droplet in a tsunami of crude, common insta glam type fake up!! Thank you for the amazing video x
Holy crap. What an amazing transformation. I actually thought that was Kate Winslet in the thumbnail. Wow. I was a junior in high school when the movie came out, so come prom season, every girl had Titanic-esque dresses and hairstyles and jewelry...I still have mine in a garment bag hanging in my closet. Two big thumbs up to Tina for doing an absolutely stunning job. :-D
She looks like a porcelain doll, but not in a 2017-esqe beautyguru way, but in a good way! And thank you for always bringing top-notch stars (like yourself) on the set and showing us peasants how it's done :D Cheers from Serbia!
My thoughts exactly! Artists like Lisa and Tina have a very feminine and minimalistic approach to makeup. While most UA-camrs use a lot of drag techniques that are great for men who like makeup, but totally unecessary for women. Might look good on video/photos, but in real life it's a total nightmare! Hello from Greece!
I love how these super pro MUAs are using the tiniest amount of product and use their fingers to blend stuff in, and they create the most beautiful of looks. This one didn't include contouring powders or highlighters. So minimalistic but soooo amazing at the same time! I love it
My friends and I agreed that the make up in Titanic was absolutely amazing, a visual feast. Such a treat to watch this, Tina Earnshaw is the best!! 💙 ⚓️
I had to take a second glance at the thumbnail because I thought it was really Kate! Also, I couldn’t help but think of that Jason Derulo song when Tina said wiggle wiggle. I’m ashamed of myself too.
Considering the comment the host made about the look being a costume look, it's also beautifully natural. You could easily think that Martha is only wearing lipstick and no other makeup.
I love The Talented Mr. Ripley, too! I hardly ever hear about other people listing it among their favorites so it's a real treat hearing it from you. And thank you and Tina for this lovely video!
Firstly, I apologize because of my English, English is not my mothertongue. I don't like watch popular tv series or movies. So, I have never watched Titanic until 3 weeks ago. When I watch the movie, I love it! I think it is absolutely perfect. I am looking for Rose's makeup and now you post this video. I really like you and your channel Lisa. Thank you so much for this video! 😍
This is so cool to watch! Titanic is one of my favourite stories, both in the movie and in real life. I am a fan of Kate. I must say, Martha looks so much like her all done up at the end. And this is done by the original makeup artist! Thank you for this :)
This is one of my favourite videos ever. I've watched it sooooooo many times i can hear people's verbal quirks. Tina Earnshaw says "a little bit" 35 times in this video!! lol
Titanic is and has always been my favorite movie, it means so much for me. You sharing this video with us is literally the most useful and special video for me, titanic is a huge part of my life that combines my passions, cinema and history. Thank you so very much for this Lisa!
What a beautiful treat, Lisa and thank you for sharing Tina! You bring us some of the most authentic, quality, makeup videos. I admire (and perhaps envy a wee bit) your resources and access to the actual people and products connected to a lot of looks (not to mention you yourself actually are one of the people connected to many looks). I love inspiration & recreations but you're able to bring us a lot of the "real thing".
Oh my, this is absolutely stunning! I was swooning throughout the whole video at Tina's application. Fantastic choice of the guest makeup artist, Lisa! x
I always loved how powdery Rose's skin looked in the movie. It made her look like velvet.
Katie Hart same!
I know. It made her look like 1920 vibe in a good way.
Katie Hart same, girl. I loved the powdery velvety look and the mauve-burgundy palette all over Rose (skin, hair, some outfits).
She looked like a porcelain doll. Such a beauty!
Kate Winslet is a natural blonde but she needed to stay a redhead. Regardless, she's naturally beautiful which, I've noticed is a rare thing nowadays.😕
The model looks like she could be Kate Winslet's younger sister! This was such a lovely video to watch, thank you Lisa!
so she is the ACTUAL make up artist who worked on Kate?!? 😳🤭 that is so amazing to watch!!
Your comment have 4k+ likes but it doesn't even have a single reply like how-
I knowww!!! The makeup is gorgeous. Thank You Lisa for working hard to get these fabulous makeup artists on

Martha actually looks so much like Kate

ikr
Divaliciousbeauty123 if the titanic movie was in 1997 how come everyone is saying it’s the 20th anniversary
She actually looks more like Liv Tyler
She should’ve went to the mall and run around asking people “have you seen Jack”
OMG yes

Oh my god. If only this was made when I was in my early teens going through my Titanic-obsessed phase!
Are you ready to go back to Titanic?
The EXACT PRODUCTS used on Kate's lips in the movie were:
The Body Shop Lip Liner in Beech (still available!)
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté in Legendary Mocha (since discontinued, but there's pictures so you can find dupes!) blend both over entire mouth to give a natural look.

Can anyone figure out a dupe for "legendary mocha"? I've been searching for yeaaaars!

Can you share the complete list?

Tina seems so sweet and down to earth. With all the faces she's done, and "Titanic" being 20 years old, I'm impressed she can remember so many details!
AceMyPlace she probably did that same look 8 times a day as she had to redo her makeup and they probably have a a notebook somewhere.
AceMyPlace well I mean she is an actual artist, hence the term “makeup artist” (don’t let youtube makeup artists fool u lol) so artists generally treasure their work so I’m not suprised she remembers so much. Martha’s eyes are actually GORGEOUS
The rose makeup look is what I try to achieve daily. So beautiful, so iconic .

Giulia Ardito that because they’re selling you something and have no real investment outside of their own pockets.

after all the drag makeup tutorials i've been bombarded with this feels like such a breath of fresh air. the subtlety in that lip color is gorge.
I could have sworn the thumbnail shows Kate Winslet!
What a treat! Tina is so funny and down-to-earth, and the makeup is sumptuous.
I completely agree. Thanks Lisa and Tina
The acclaimed ones are usually the most humble and caring..i.e. Vidal Sassoon
Leigh Cooper mine name is Tina! :) future meh
“You’ve got a hot flash from seeing Leo naked” 😂😂😂
Jayne Karinova ahaha that was amazing 😂👌🏻
My favorite quote from the whole video lol.

Jayne Karinova lol. She was blushing too
She said flush actually, as in her cheeks heated up.

omg At first I thought you had as a guest Kate Winslet .__.
mofetabionica yep me too 😂
Soooo did I...and that's pretty much what I've come to expect from Lisa :-)

yes
Oh man. I wish😂😂
I wish..
Man, do I wish. I need to find the right guy. I'm starting to seriously hate romance... and seeing couples. Valentine's is the absolute worst.😖
Tina Earnshaw is a legend. And absolutely lovely - thank you for sharing her talent.
Working in movies would be so amazing. Creating looks that help to tell a story.
Can we talk about Lisa's cat eye look? I love it!
Thank you for inviting makeup artists, so we could see their iconic recreations 💛
Loved it. And bring her back for a Mamma mia look!!!
Klarissa Valero for real

Hello from Greece!
Zdravo, Nadia! Pozdravi i za tebe :)
Jovana Jovanović that beauty guru crap was very extra... 🙄🙄🙄
Why? Is it not true that they all look the same, trying to look inhumanly airbrushed and what not?
I love how these super pro MUAs are using the tiniest amount of product and use their fingers to blend stuff in, and they create the most beautiful of looks. This one didn't include contouring powders or highlighters. So minimalistic but soooo amazing at the same time! I love it
I love Tina Earnshaw so much! I really love her energy such a warm and gentle person

Great saying from a great lady... Tina is gold! : D
Great Xmas present for 90s girls 💞💞💞
The model has the definition of sparkling eyes, so clear and beautiful! 💕
Even the eyes color and the eyebrow slightly higher than the other are similar to Rose's. Perfect model for this makeup!
The model looked so much like Kate in the thumbnail that I thought Kate was the model!

And where I can get it.
