Veterinarian Responds to “Turtle Day” Where Owner Buries and Digs Up Pet Box Turtles

I’ve been seeing this creator’s videos circulate for a few years now about how they bury their box turtles every year, and it never sat right with me.
Although I love the fact that she’s allowing them to live outside and brumate, they should be allowed to dig down on their own, and the creator should not be promoting the practice of forcibly burying them.
However, I’m not here to bash this creator, as she does have a lot of good information on brumating. It sounds like she got the go-ahead from her vet, but as you know not everyone has equal reptile experience.

This video really should include what the experts say *IS* the right way to do it.
If you don't want people getting their information from the internet, why not just provide them with what the experts have to say?
