I shopped long and detailed for a ball machine two years ago. I looked closely at Lobster, Spinfire, and Silent Partner. I found the Silent Partner brand to offer the best features for the dollar. Mine has dual power, both battery and A/C. It has held up well under regular use and I've been happy with the purchase. Lobster was highly recommended to me, but I found them generally to be 15% higher cost with similar features.
Agree, unfortunately tho SP does not sell and ship outside the US and Canada, so for me, in Italy, a good deal on the Lobster Liberty is probably the best option - It seems that spending more on more advanced models might be a bit unnecessary, while spending less get you a machine that's simply not good enough.
I'm a HS tennis coach. We have a Silent Partner machine and a Lobster Elite Grand Four. We have had nothing but trouble with the Lobster. It doesn't stay in a program when you start hitting. All I want it to do is hit two line feeds so I can have kids in lines hitting Forehands and Backhands at the baseline and then two lines to volley at the net. The Lobster throws balls correctly for about a minute and then has a mind of its own and usually resorts to lobbing ridiculously high and deep, thus becoming useless. The Silent Partner has proven much more reliable for us. Its oscillating arm will break every so often but its an easy fix. Annoyed with the Lobster for what we paid for it for sure.
slingerbag is good machine for beginner with a pace at 45 mph and between 2-to-10 seconds in frequency No BackSpin only Toppin. Compare Lobster high 70 mph fast pace for advance player BackSpin?TopSpin. Cheers!
The only caveat is to access the battery you must take off the warping and awkward cover held on by six? bolts. Why haven't they made it easier to change the battery? Seriously, changing the battery is a PAIN IN THE ARSE MATE!
You might want to reach out to Lobster for that question, I would have to say we wouldn't recommend it for anything but tennis balls but we certainly aren't experts on street hockey. Michelle, TW
@@tenniswarehouse that’s ok, I play goalie and I thought your machine would be perfect for goalies trying to practice blocking shots while playing alone.
Please add an AC power supply option. The 12v 18 amp DC battery is what is in a motorcycle. This is weak sauce...they don't last long. Please add an AC power supply option.
This helps more than a wall. A wall can help with repetition too but the ball comes back to you the same way every time. This allows you to get a different bounce via the court, while also letting you change the weight of the ball.

I just recently got one myself but I cant seem to manually adjust the elevation using the remote controller. Anyone else having issues with this?
Same problem. Terrible customer service. Still waiting to hear back from them. $2000 for piece of junk.

How good is this for padel?
Can this be used for Mylec Street hockey balls?

I'd rather use a wall. In my case, it is difficult to time the ball. No visual clues to help with timing. But good for ball placement on the court.

@@commondirtbagz7130 That would be a great start-up idea to create a wall that will return you balls different ways, spins and even power )))
@@myownstatecl like a rebound net that changes tension randomly to give you different spins!
