    I just bought a Cobridge in black yesterday and it's the nicest jacket I've ever owned, out of any brand. Hugely impressed with how versatile it is, the slim fit and cut and the heft of it blocks rain and wind exceptionally well.
    I would normally wear a men's small in most things, so I had to shift up to a medium. It's snug and close fitting but still have a good range of movement and the wind doesn't get underneath it.
    I only had the jacket about 3 hours and someone at work tried to take it from my desk- it was not an "innocent mistake" as they tried to play off, as they never sit near that desk and they don't own a Barbour... So be aware, it is a bit of a coveted and expensive item to own and you shouldn't leave it laying around anywhere or it will probably disappear pretty quickly.

      Of course, I'm 5,10" and 75kg and a 38" chest. I usually wear a M, however the Corbridge is slim fitting, we recommend taking a size up, I am wearing a L in this video. Skip to the 2.25 in the video, I go into a little more depth there. Cheers!

      @@Solerf1 68kg, 165cm and the Medium fits snug with a T shirt and a medium-weight funnel necked jumper with long sleeves underneath in layers.
      The Cobridge arm length is spot on for me. The cuffs cover my wrists when both arms are at my sides. I have good range of movement.

    Have owned the Corbridge for a number of years and wear it every autumn and winter. I usually take between a medium and large and took this in an XL, which fits well.

    2nd Barbour Corbridge here. Always green for me, since when it ages, it looks more like leather with a nice patina. Do not like the old fashiomed big collar from Barbour. Appreciate this mid season jacket which has a tayor fit - yes size up, plenty of pockets - military style, good coverage - from half of bottom to chin, as well as isulation over 0 celsius, since I usually wear cashmere jumper when it gets cold. Love this piece of gear that makes me feel like an adventurer, both in town or in the field.

    Had mine for nearly 2 yrs. Wax fades every few months. Hard job waxing it. The side pocket lining fell apart within months of wear and there is a rivet(?) inside the pocket on which my finger nail always catched. My arms and torso gets sweaty (waxed or unwaxed) even unzipped which I wonder about as it is a breathable jacket. Zipper is sound as a pound. Collar is stand-up and great. Cuffs have started to fray at the edges.

      Shame to hear about the fraying and pocket issues, this is not an issue we've heard about before with these jackets. However we must agree Barbours Zips are amazing

    I usually wear size XS, but after watching your other review of the Duke jacket, I was convinced to buy a size S (smallest size unfortunately) which fits decently. Since you've worn both, how does the Corbridge fit compared to the Duke?

      it is a similiar fit in my opinion, the L is a little more comfortable on me and allows for some layering

    you have to get so many things right for these jackets to pop. I think the collar on this model does not work. Maybe it would on 007

    Great video @michaelstewartmenswear2379. Answered many questions for me.
    I am between buying Sapper or Corbridge and I would be really happy to hear your opinion. Where I live we barely see minus temperature. Usually winters are no colder than 5 degrees celsius but with really strong wind and some rain. Would Corbridge be warm enough or should I rather go with sapper?
    And about sizing, I wear size 34 Bedale and it is a good fit for me. Should I go for Sapper S and Corbridge M? I am 168cm (5 feet 6) and 74kg. Some comments make me think twice about a Corbridge since I have a little bit of a gut.

    • @michaelstewartmenswear2397

      Both have a same level of padding and warmth. Corbridge M would be a great fit!

      I just bought a Corbridge over a Sapper having pondered both. The deciding factor for me was the way I can slide my hands behind the hip pockets from the side on a cold day, which is an excellent extra cubby-hole. The Corbridge is a fractionally slimmer fit too. Mine's in the rust colour. It's such a handsome coat.

    Hello, I am considering the purchase of a Barbour Corbridge, I own:
    - Ashby in XL (fits great)
    - Sapper (Tailored) in XL (fits great)
    - International Original size 42 (bulky in the belly)
    - Liddlesdale in L (fits great in the chest and belly a tad short in the arms)
    I wonder if someone can share his experience with the Corbrige. I read somewhere that I should go with the same size as the Ashby.
    Thank you. Cheers

      Silim fit Barbour jackets should carry a warning , DO NOT BUT IF YOU HAVE A GUT !
      I bought a duke , sized up one to a XXL and never felt comfortable in it .6ft and 15 .7 lb and wondering if I should size down on a Bedale to a large as an XL looks massive .
      Love the brand ,though the barbour sizing is complicated

    I bought a Corbrige just over 3 years ago - live in NSW, Australia; so not a cheap exercise for me. I previously owned a Barbour (8oz cloth) bought in the UK 40 years ago which held up very well. This jacket unfortunately is nowhere near as robust, I've had to repair the stiching around - both - bottom pockets and the cuffs are starting to fray. The breathabilty is bloody awful and unless I re-wax it twice a year, it leaks like a seave. I've been told these jackets are made in eastern Europe and will say that I would not buy another Barbour.

      @@michaelstewartmenswear2397 Thank you for taking the time to reply and fully understand that you have a vested interest in the promotion of this brand. With regard to "similar issues". A previous poster (uberwagerbond4077) seems to have much the same problems as me. I strongly suggest that using terms like "heritage" and "iconic" will not overcome poor quality control. It is a shame - for me - to see this happening to Barbour.

    Is the Corbridge a longer length cut than the Sapper? I know you’re wearing a large here as opposed to the medium Sapper but this one appears longer past the waist.
    Or is it an illusion being a slimmer cut? Thanks

    How would you say the sleeve length is? I’ve struggle for so long to find a jacket that fits nicely on the chest and body as well as having shorter sleeves. I must have weirdly short arms!
    Which Barbour style would you recommend?

    • @michaelstewartmenswear2397
      @michaelstewartmenswear2397  10 місяців тому

      This style has pretty normal fitting arms, I wouldn't say they are particularly long. This goes for all Barbour jackets except the Beacon which has a longer sleeve length

    its a stylish one, love it, but before I order I have a question: is it wearable while driving a car? or will it give wax to a seat? 🤔

    • @michaelstewartmenswear2397
      @michaelstewartmenswear2397  9 місяців тому +1

      I wear my wax jacket while driving and have noticed no issues with wax transfer to seats. Perhaps it may be an issue if the seats are heated?

    • @uberwagabond4077
      @uberwagabond4077 8 місяців тому +1

      I wear it driving all the time, no wax loss issues visible though it loses wax after about 3 months of regular wear.

    For the sake of an argument I have never heard of Barbour before , why should I buy a Waxed jacket with the Barbour label?
    Actually , I have owned a few , including my 2 month old Beaufort, once wet after getting caught in the rain for an hour , its game over while it dry's out for 12 hour .
    A friend has a dickies waxed jacket that is 9 years old , today I had a new forest branded waxed jacket delivered ,perfect condition and £12 via ebay , its identical to the Bedale , other then the lining .
    I struggle to see, why is Barbour so special ?
