Honestly got more appreciation for necro now. Never knew he was so technical.

he is one of those characters that makes you wonder 'who asked'. literally no one likes necro. he takes the two dumbest characters and combines them into one. and who is maining blanka and dhalsim? psychopaths.
@@grdfhrghrggrtwqqu i've mained both blanka and dhalsim at varying points, while he has extremely superficial similarities to them, he doesn't ultimately play anything like either. If your gonna trash talk a character maybe understanding them on even the most basic level would help you make an actual case, instead of just revealing your ignorance

@@grdfhrghrggrtwqqu My whole point, and what you were originally talking about, was the fact that necro isn't remotely similar to either character you mentioned, though if you want to grasp at straws, I'm pretty sure effie's an adult, and they became friends thanks to them both being experimented on by urien

@@mechajintsuI would orgasm seeing that matchup and I think lorewise Dhalsim could work wonders on his mental health. Necro's lucid but I wouldn't blame him for only hanging on barely.

@@user-vp6cq4sv3d yeah, itd be fun if dhalsim helped necro and his girlfriend come to peace with what happened to them. It could make sense gameplay wise of they were both stretchy but necro was more aggressive so you could have dhalsims nirvana with necros crazy
For an electricity producing character, I'd much rather have Necro over Blanka any day of the week. One of the things I really like about Necro is how you can see in his animations that he really has to wind up to gain momentum for his more stretchy attacks. Even if I never play SF6, I'd love to see Necro come back because I think Capcom could actually do Necro's animations justice in 3D now.
Never really tought about how he could stretch, but looking at his wiki page, it turns out his limbs are segmented
He's not really stretching through powers like Dhalsim, he winds up because its done manually due to his body being fucked up, and that's cool.

Necro never appealed to me but I definitely respected players who could really mix it up with him.

I'm not usually not into unorthodox characters (never played blanka or dhalsim much) but IDK Necro always caught my eye.

1:15 necro players use sa1 against hugo because hes too difficult to stun. These videos are fire though.
Not really. If you can stun Dudley and Oro, you can stun Hugo. SA1 is really useful against Hugo because it's a really good anti air, effectively prevent Hugo to get close
@@Rylainecchi you’re probably right on the reasoning. I just know ive seen most necros choose sa1 against hugo and i assumed that was why.
I know it's been a year, but I'd still like to clarify. People sometimes use SA1 on Hugo and Twins bc stopping Hugo's jumps is very important, and you can use SA1 to deter twins from doing too many divekicks. SA1 in general makes for a great anti-air tool, but SA3 is definitely the clear winner.
I wished he was playable in SFV. Hopefully he's DLC in SF6.
Necro is my main in SF3 and he's freaking awesome. Between being able to keep you on the ground (dive kick, rising cobra, viper fang), his insanely strong blowback (diagonal back+heavy punch) so you can quickly build meter for EX moves (with the Electric Snake super), I think he's also very underappreciated. Necro can get it done.

Arizona must be going crazy for this one. I caught one of their Jazzy Circuit tournaments last year and half the bracket was Necros
There was a necro cooking with the electric super in the online 3rd Strike NLBCs.
SA3 is good for stun but SA1 also has some utility if you have a more turtle-y playstyle :D

Man, I can't wait for Q. And that's just for the soundtrack alone. He's got the best tune in the game. And you can only hear it if you play well enough in 1p. Man, I miss the ts arcade cabinet my friend used to own.
Whenever he didn't feel like playing, I would play 1p on level 8 and try to 1cc the game. As soon as I lost a single round, I'd stop cause it meant no Q, lol.
Said friend sold his cab and ts separately. Selling ts fucked him up though, those carts have gone up in price at least 3x. Ever since that battery issue got solved.

The weird guy character in any fighting game is usually the most interesting one, when it comes to animations!
Weirdos and oddballs are something pretty ingrained in Street Fighter's identity since 2, methinks. I'd say only anime fighters and maybe Soul Calibur have SF beat in that front.

You think? I always thought that Urien had super easy unblockables Vs necro, aegis then HK knee crossups in corner.
And necro can't combo off neutral grab Vs Urien afaik.
@@Zenondikar yeah but necro can setup easy elbow loops on urien and urien has a hard time escaping necros corner pressure, the match-up is honestly whoever gets the opponent cornered first

@@Scorpio7500 no easy by cr lk, lp spin hook, elbow x3. racks up tons of dmg and stun and you can reset with b.mk into another mixup

necro is considered on par if not better than denjin ryu. He only has one or two 7-3 matchups being chun and makoto

The only thing I disagree with in this video is his overall rating. I'd say he's above average. He's easily top of the mid tiers, maybe bottom of the high tiers.
