The pro is made for those who want that best console experience and don’t want a pc. Most of us won’t buy it but it’s there for those who want it. My fear is the pc port. Remake was not exactly the greatest pc port. Mods are required.
I'll sacrifice some graphical fidelity for 4K 60FPS. Playing the game even today on a launch PS5, I rarely noticed major performance issues that ruined my gaming experience. The game still looked beautiful, but if the PS5 Pro can give me some sharper images while also aiming for 4K 60FPS, it might be a worth while upgrade.
Strongly disagree for me, I really disliked how Rebirth looked, same as 16. Remake looks significantly better than rebirth and that just shouldn't be the case. 700 quid isn't a lot compared to the thousands I'd have to spend to make a PC look good on my massive TV.
Definitely not worth a $700 upgrade. However the difference between performance on base PS5 to PS5 Pro is wildly different. Idk how people don't see it. Again, thats not equating to me saying this pricepoint is worth it. I do not agree with that.
If you have money to spend on a PS5Pro, good for you, get it. Personally I had enough money to get a PS5slim, and I'm not even taking full advantage of it because I have an old Samsung TV. This PS5pro is for rich people with extra income or streamers that make money out of it.
Rich people? You don’t have to be rich to afford a $700 console… You gamer boys need to stop gaming 24/7 and go out into the real world. Millions of people can afford things they want. Because they spent time acquiring knowledge and skill to earn money in a career beyond retail clerk or fast food worker... You are right in that this isn’t for everyone. The people that can’t afford it are the people that shouldn’t be spending their time playing video games in the first place. Imagine investing all the time you spend on video games instead on studying for a valuable degree in a STEM field. Or starting a business. Or investing time in your relationships. All of those things would result in much better quality of life than the countless hours so many entitled gamers dump into video games.
You did not have to look that close at all bro. Anyone gaming on a 27 inch monitor to a 43 inch monitor can see it. The games performance mode was shit and a blurry mess lol. There is absolutely no defending that. However, I am not saying this is worth 700$ for one game.
I honestly didn't see a problem with the game on my 2022 85' Sony Bravia X85J. I don't know if it was my monitor or what, but the problems others have experienced didn't affect me.

And I wish this was the case from the jump. But here we are.
If you have a newer Sony TV with “reality creation” ai setting you can actually eliminate the blur entirely in FFVII Rebirth Performance mode. The blur is in fact pretty ridiculous. But that Sony TV “AI” setting is like a blur eraser. I am using a Sony A80J OLED TV with reality creation set to manual 65. Switching it off and on again is like comparing these PS5 Pro vs existing PS5 Performance mode images. I highly recommend anyone currently playing Rebirth that has a Sony TV with this setting to try it out. Literally the only reason I’m playing the game now instead of waiting for PS5 Pro. 30fps sucks and so does the blur.
It's nice that FF VII Rebirth will look much better. The problem is that those who already played the game may not want to go back and replay the game just to experience the now better graphics. OTOH, if one has never played Rebirth and picks it up with the PS5 Pro then it will look great but never having experienced the blurry version may not appreciate it as much. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Time will be kind to the Pro, we're looking at over double performance on games. This is above mid range PC gaming, at around the 1500/2000 mark. Custom pisser for each game cannot be underestimated. Will the pisser also effect those 8500 ps4 games mentioned? If so... God dayum.
Even though I loved FF7 Rebirth, I put it down around the first 1/4 of the game because I didn’t like having to choose between slide show or blurry mode. Once I saw the digital foundry video, I was sold on the Pro (Don’t care how many on the internet get angry at me). It will look way better on my 65” LG CX. And we know the PC version will be a stutter fest if Remake is anything to go by. Yes the price is ridiculous and I agree a disc drive and stand should be included. But I’m not surprised when looking at GPU prices (4090 is more than twice the price alone). But some folks on the internet need to take a chill pill on whether others are spending money on an optional piece of consumer electronics.

Even if its not zoomed in with the character shots the performance mode blurriness is very present and something that plagued my playthrough so I played in graphics mode the entire time instead.

As long as Sony doesn’t lock off dlc to the pro like last time I don’t really care about that graphics that much. I will say that yes I secured a PS5 Pro but this console will not fix the texture/asset pop ins. Unreal Engine 4 is the cause of it and ofc Square Enix devs not as sharp as other AAA devs out there with this.
@@JShugz the only thing that could realistically fix the texture pop in is if they release an update to adjust it. With the hardware headroom on the pro this is possible. But that's not something that would change by default. Square Enix would actively have to release an update to do that.

I do appreciate that this new "graphics" mode will do 60fps. But I cannot stand this generation of console hardware. PC should be day 1
again , i believe i said this many times .. performance mode on the base PS5 is just fine and beautiful .. dont get this obession it is affecting game sales because of focusing on stupid small details like this .. again, if you have a high-end or a flagship high tv, the performance looks sharp and beautiful .. i have LG CX Oled 4k the game on performance mode looks amazing .. im not a weird guy who every second pauses the game and Zoom it 100× to see if it is sharp or not .. by using this logic, then nintendo games will look like Atari games if you zoom it 100x, but hey wait its Nintendo. It's tapoo you cant criticize it ... grow up kids and try to purchase geeat TV not outdated TVS and monitors these idiots are the reason we will never get another FF remake game because they are focusing on small minor things and so negative and toxic .. they dont deserve FF 7 rebirth .. sick and tired of these people who call themselves FANS, and they harmed the game, and because of them and negativity, the game sales weren't expected even though to me its a perfect game ..

Wow I really don't see the point of the pro for barely a little bit of difference , ff7 rebirth on the PS5 is amazing as it is the very slight difference of graphics really don't warrant £700 pro price without disc drive , so if you got disc version bad luck you gotta buy the discdrive too Edit: even if money wasn't an issue and I had the money i might not of got the pro , yea id love to get another ps5 since we are sharing the one we got between my 2 kids and myself so we get problems of the system being hogged and not shared my youngest rarely gets to play it if at all , even my usage is little since other son has it more than all of us 😭,
Huge graphical difference, this is like PS4 to PS5, resolution wise actually closer to PS3 to PS5 difference, we're going from often 720p dynamic res up to a genuinely good looking 4k. It's a seismic update. Not for everyone but for me, holy hell I'm drooling over this shit.

If you already own a PS5, even playing on a large format display, this is a waste of money. You can get a 2TB M.2 SSD for under $125 if you need storage space. If you own a PC, just wait and buy the game on PC if you are worried about better graphics. Consoles are purposely coming out in Beta these days and releasing the 1.0 version as Pro models and it's becoming too commonplace. Even mainstream games release half-made and then charge for $50 DLC less than a year later to finish the rest of the game.

While I agree, exclusivity sucks ass, we must remember it's also amazing for development and this series may have been a hell of a lot worse were they to make it cross platform day one.
@@upon-fe2720 I couldn't disagree more. First of all, Square announced themselves that sales of BOTH ff16 AND ff7 rebirth failed to meet sales expectations. It really is not a surprise to anybody considering not that many ppl own a ps5 to begin with. @@BltzZ I would disagree the market is really decent right now especially with amd GPUs being at some of there lowest prices right now I just priced out a build for some one else it was 676 with a 6800 xt with r5 5500 came with b550 board 2x16 ram, SSD and case with fans and power supply all new parts minus windows but it's only 11 dollars to buy a key
@@SheldonMcclain right, now convince those same console owners to put it together properly. Then convince the other 90% of them to upgrade their 1080p monitor to a 4k display.
Any news of the PC version? I wonder if they will reveal at TGA
Most likely revealed at TGA i believe
@@BltzZ most likely it will be at TGA then, Thanks for the answer, Blitzz, stay safe!
At this point where I have platinumed and 100 percented Final Fantasy VII Rebirth I cannot justify buying a PS5 Pro
its coming to PC..... and will look even better
Yeah for the princely some of about 2 grand, I'll stick to my Pro ta. By the time it's out on PC part 3 will be around the corner. Literally not even been announced for PC yet. Let's face it, Pro is looking like a banging deal, Twice the performance for an extra
200 quid. Have my money
@@upon-fe2720 what, u do not need to spend that much for a PC to beat the pro smh 😑
Yeah you can get a solid PC setup for atleast 1K. However, if you do not already have a 4k or 1440p monitor. You can see people spending close to that 2K range all together.
@@BltzZ Hook it up to ur tv that u have.... Unless u are gonna put the cost of the tv into the PS5pro price and the couch, tv stand/wall mount, etc. PC ends up the same or costing less if taking all that into account plus not paying for online, cheaper games, and fully "backwards" compatible including emulation to play whatever games you do own
lol you don't gotta tell me twice bro I own 2 rigs, one with a 3090 for gaming and one with a 4070 for streaming. on a 3 monitor setup with the main one being that new 4K OLED Asus.
Just saying that majority of people in this console generation are still gaming on 1080p screens or lower and don't even get the benefit of what they paid for with the console.
I’ll wait for PC
As far as I know the pop-in is more of an Unreal Engine thing as opposed to a Hardware based thing.
This I want them to address or talk about with the 1.05 update and state whether or not if this is fixed on there
Are you taking the PSSR?
As long as Sony doesn’t lock off dlc to the pro like last time I don’t really care about that graphics that much. However if it’s true the ps6 will be even more expensive and digital only than I’ll just get part 3 on pc. I want to retire from gaming with part 3, but I don’t want to have to buy a new system just for that.
Only difference I can see is trees in the far far far distance being better in that one location 😂 pretty sure my tv already upscales enough for me to not notice a single difference with the cutscenes 😂
The game already looks amazing on the original PS5
I will say that yes I secured a PS5 Pro but this console will not fix the texture/asset pop ins. Unreal Engine 4 is the cause of it and ofc Square Enix devs not as sharp as other AAA devs out there with this.
@@JShugz the only thing that could realistically fix the texture pop in is if they release an update to adjust it. With the hardware headroom on the pro this is possible. But that's not something that would change by default. Square Enix would actively have to release an update to do that.
@@BltzZ Oh okay, we shall see what they do. Square isn't known for being technical wizards in games.
All square needn't to do was just add VRR support an 120hz update for this game on original PS5
Brother. The game is running at 900p in 60fps. You somehow want 120fps support? At what like 480p??? Be real.
You know what I mean for a better performance@@BltzZ
@@javonjames4573 you do realize that for better performance you need to downscale other things right? More in part, texture and resolution sacrifices
@@BltzZwell they should have added a balance mode 😅
i could hardly see any difference if my tv is a few feet away from me i guess pc users will take advantage of ps5 pro so i’ll say to anyone just buy it if you want no hard feelings
Versality mode? That means it's supposed to look like that when it first comes out!
They really tryna milk us.
Graphics mode is just fine. No need for a 700 dollar pro.
I agree, it is not worth it to spend $700 on this if you are satisfied with the graphics mode. I also do not think people should be spending this much on hardware for solely 1 game lol. I do appreciate that this new "graphics" mode will do 60fps. But I cannot stand this generation of console hardware. PC should be day 1
PS5: Fog on
PS5 Pro: Fog off
vaseline too
again , i believe i said this many times .. performance mode on the base PS5 is just fine and beautiful .. dont get this obession it is affecting game sales because of focusing on stupid small details like this .. again, if you have a high-end or a flagship high tv, the performance looks sharp and beautiful .. i have LG CX Oled 4k the game on performance mode looks amazing .. im not a weird guy who every second pauses the game and Zoom it 100× to see if it is sharp or not .. by using this logic, then nintendo games will look like Atari games if you zoom it 100x, but hey wait its Nintendo. It's tapoo you cant criticize it ... grow up kids and try to purchase geeat TV not outdated TVS and monitors
these idiots are the reason we will never get another FF remake game because they are focusing on small minor things and so negative and toxic .. they dont deserve FF 7 rebirth .. sick and tired of these people who call themselves FANS, and they harmed the game, and because of them and negativity, the game sales weren't expected even though to me its a perfect game ..
I finally bought a PS5 for Rebirth. I bought a PS5 Pro for Rebirth.
Just put the game on PC already! Also just used up one of my 3 videos while using add blocker so this very well might be the last comment i ever make on the platform. what has UA-cam become man.
bro called PSSR pisser technology... lmao
Looks exactly the same as graphics mode lmao...no different when they compare pc graphics and ps5 graphics
too bad..FF16 still not enhance to utilize PS 5 pro feature...
Wow I really don't see the point of the pro for barely a little bit of difference , ff7 rebirth on the PS5 is amazing as it is the very slight difference of graphics really don't warrant £700 pro price without disc drive , so if you got disc version bad luck you gotta buy the discdrive too
Edit: even if money wasn't an issue and I had the money i might not of got the pro , yea id love to get another ps5 since we are sharing the one we got between my 2 kids and myself so we get problems of the system being hogged and not shared my youngest rarely gets to play it if at all , even my usage is little since other son has it more than all of us 😭,
Huge graphical difference, this is like PS4 to PS5, resolution wise actually closer to PS3 to PS5 difference, we're going from often 720p dynamic res up to a genuinely good looking 4k. It's a seismic update. Not for everyone but for me, holy hell I'm drooling over this shit.
Definitely not worth a $700 upgrade. However the difference between performance mode on base PS5 to PS5 Pro is wildly different. How are people not seeing it? Again, thats not equating to me saying this price point is worth it. I do not agree with that. Just saying the blurred gameplay and cutscenes are no longer an issue. And I wish this was the case from the jump. But here we are.

everything looks gd except the pricing :(
Cannot wait to see you dominate on PS5 pro!
It is better yes
It is worth it no
Only worth it if you do not have a PS5, Already have a 4K monitor and want a close to PC experience across multiple games. Do not buy this just for Rebirth lol.
Good thing I bought a Pc. F off Sony
square, just release games on PC day 1.
While I agree, exclusivity sucks ass, we must remember it's also amazing for development and this series may have been a hell of a lot worse were they to make it cross platform day one.
This also applies especially to square
@@upon-fe2720 I couldn't disagree more. First of all, Square announced themselves that sales of BOTH ff16 AND ff7 rebirth failed to meet sales expectations.
It really is not a surprise to anybody considering not that many ppl own a ps5 to begin with. Delayed launch (especially by a year +) on PC would never salvages sales because ppl's interest in those games have long died.
Sure, there would be more work when it comes to optimization, but then you will be missing millions upon millions of potential sales on PC, that's just stupid.
It does look way better but I don’t get why these channels hypocrite and suggest that the ps5 pro isn’t worth it…only for them to go out and get one anyways
It’s not worth it for casual gamers. It IS worth it for them as content creators.
Countless times I have stated that I will be getting this for the sole reason and purpose of it being that I can afford it and it benefiting my content. "HOV did that so hopefully you wouldn't have to go through that"
