As a current Arizonan, here are some other fun facts I think you’d enjoy:
-the southernmost ski hill in the US is located atop Mt Lemmon, just outside Tucson
-Speaking of Tucson, it’s also something of an UNESCO site - it’s an official UNESCO City of Gastronomy!
-a portion of the interstate between Tucson and Mexico is marked in Kilometers instead of miles. It was apparently a failed experiment but they kept the markings.
The Grand Canyon is so amazing. The pictures truly don’t do it justice and Id also like to mention that the Navajo nation are an amazing group of people with an amazing culture. Apache’s and Hopi too.
Hi from Sydney Australia! I listen to your channel most nights and love your work, your voice is very relaxing. It was a nice surprise to see Arizona come up tonight as it is where my Dad has lived for 20 years. A beautiful place that I have travelled extensively. Great vid! You did my home state proud. I've lived most of my life in Phoenix, attended college at NAU in Flagstaff (one of the few public universities in the state!).
As a lover of history and oddities, I thought you'd want to know that in Lake Havasu City you can find THE London Bridge. Some wacky millionaire bought it from the brits, had it taken apart and then reassembled and it now spans a section of Lake Havasu.
But it's a beautiful state, many think of it as just a desert but you did a great job showing how incredibly diverse the landscape of the state is.
You’re so right about the desert. I had no idea before living here how alive the desert could be.
My home state. Yea it’s hot but beautiful most of the year and I just go up north for the weekends most of the summer
We have canals in the Phoenix metro area that were created millions of years ago by the hohokam. And a bunch of hikes where you can see petroglyphs etc.

and now i'm learning things about the state i live in. been here since June, but haven't had the opportunity to explore much. haven't been to either of the big holes in the ground since i was a kid. maybe for once i will go to these places instead of just living vicariously ... p.s. if you had a Savage Speeders hoodie, i might have unsubscribed. the O'Rangers are ok, but Crazy Cat's Eyes are my team!
