- What's up guys, in this video my Nissan 370Z Nismo gets a muffler delete which is something I've wanted to do on the car since I've got it. It's the best way to make your car sound awesome without spending a lot of money.

I did this to my stinger--and it sounds great--this sounds even deeper and better--should have a factory option to do this.Also KIA reset my comp after mine so the engine could take advanatge of the less restrictive back pressure.
Woah that’s cool that it automatically does that, my car needs a tune in order to take full advantage of it

I know this was one of your 1st vids but i just found you, so i hope you are seeing these questions. I have 2 concerns about doing a muffler delete. 1st is, were there any negative performance effects from it? And 2nd, are there any law enforcement issues with doing it?

No negative performance effects from what I can tell, but never actually took it to a dyno. Never been pulled over for my exhaust, just for no front plate. Pretty sure it’s still within the decibel range of being legal. And thanks Scott appreciate the support!

Damn this sounds perfect to me. Unfortunately the nismo I bought already had an aftermarket catback which I think sounds ok...but I think this sounds better if I'm honest.

Sounds good. How much did you pick up your Nismo for? Looking to get one but really don't want to spend more than 30k if possible.
Thanks man! I got mine for just under 30k at 29k. It was the cheapest one that was still in good condition that I could find. They tend to hover in the 30k area for a decent one but you could get one for cheaper if you’re willing to get a higher millage one

Right, just re-read that above. I got my 2016 Sport Touring (fully loaded) 370 with 9,000km for $29k Canadian - a real steal!

Do you require any parts to purchase for a muffler delete for the Z?
Nope not if you take it to shop to do it for you. All they do is cut off the muffler and weld some piping onto it

Hey, did you keep the Nismo exhaust tips and just remove the muffler? How did you connect around the muffler as well?

Yea I kept the tips and they just cut the muffler off and welded some 2.5 inch piping

How much did the shop charge you? Did you basically just Google a muffler shop and ask them if they can do it?
It was $200 which is a little much to be honest, but it was a trusted and reliable shop so decided to not cheap out. And yea that’s exactly what I did
Don't be cheap on the exhaust..lol . Fast Intentions or Motordyne is the answer. My Fast Intentions was about $1600 and sounds amazing. Don't hack up a Nismo . A base model Z yes, but not a Nismo
