I, too, saw Vincent gliding along a street in Paris and I IMMEDIATELY ordered one (ten years ago, before electric scooters were even a thing). Best thing I've ever owned, I love SoloWHEEEEEEEling!
I'm impressed. I'm usually quite good at these things but didn't do so well my first time. He did very well.
it takes practice to ride and very scary at first. Expect to fall and scratch it a few times (thats why they covered the white wheel in red cloth). But after u get the hang of it its incredibly fun. Ive been riding for 3 years now and never fall while commuting somewhere. I can also ride with 1 foot and u can do sharper turns if u do it with one foot. Only thin that sucks is i want friends with a solowheel;(
I just came back from a trip to Asia and I've seen people of all ages riding it comfortably. The oldest rider was 72 who did 600km with us in a week!
what parts of Asia did you see these wheels?
Wrist guards at least? I managed to hit the motor kill button and went straight down, knees, elbow and wrists took hard hits. I'm 73 and was sure I shattered something but I survived and ordered all the gear, it works cause I haven't fallen since I started wearing the gear. Wheel deal.
Even my 8 year old little brother is riding it in the house. Had an ice storm so just waiting for there to be a nice sunny day to get him outside. I think it's time I get me a Gotway V3 which is like a solowheel but goes 25 mph then he can have the solowheel. I really hope to have the solowheel as the new way of getting around and I will do that by designing a hands free sit down scooter for those of older age and those that don't trust the device enough.

Mom needs safety gear, at that age broken bones takes long time to heal. Further up the age scale, doctors just refuse to perform surgery so you're out of luck.

Wonder if solowheel will eventually incorporate suspension into the design instead of relying on the tire alone for shock absorption.
Funny you said that because gotway and inmotion both just got suspension recently.
Is this street legal in the US? Please someone reply to me because I can't find it
Not sure but it is said that it is not seen as a motorized vehicle in US. In the UK everything is illegal. Scooters are illegal but nearly everyone has one in UK. Unicycle are seen as a hobby, but I need one to get to work.
