Hi Tara,
I hope you’re well.
I love voctave ! Thank you for reviewing them. I didn’t know you were accepting suggestions for your reactions.
I would really like you to review this performance if it’s ok.
She is an Italian singer and like many Italian singers, she doesn’t get much attention. However she really deserves a little space as I believe she’s absolutely amazing.
Thank you ☺️

Soprano's name is Kate Lott and her highest note with this group is in the song Mary Did You Know. You should react to it. It'd be amazing to know your opinion on the arrangement, which is awesome!

You should check out their "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame" medley! Maybe an idea for a Christmas themed video.
I LOVE that video and the medley. Always puts me in a good Christmas mood
YES YES YES!!!!!
...or the Notre Dame Medley by Ringmasters (Barbershop Quartet) ua-cam.com/video/Qo_N9_ZFBhs/v-deo.html
I ALWAYS get goosebumps when I listen to it.
Yes! Please!!
If you're not sick of voctave, someone like you is a beautiful song.
Reach to Voctave - Great Movie Medley please 🙏🏻
It’s amazing 😍
YESSS! I know you've done a bunch of Voctave at this point but that one is probably the most mindblowing thing they have done as far as I'm concerned :O
Agree!! Such an amazing Medley!
Yes please do the Great Movie Medley
please do the great movie medley
Yes!! The movie medley is my favorite!
Thank you again for another video.
Hi Jerod M. 8) You might want to create a subscribe too list to sights like this. (Did I get my toos right?) Many of your members are in jr. high and could use this exposure.
You gotta review the Voctave “Fly Medley”!!! I promise you won’t regret it, it’s dynamic, sounds more organic, and is absolutely lovely!! All your reactions are great so far, thanks for the stellar content!
Love the way your videos looked from 2 years ago. Beautiful and very professional setup
I'm honestly learning so much from your analysis (gentle analysis) of these reaction videos. Please do some more!
Hi Tara, enjoyed your comments. Isn't it funny when you just sit there with a smile because it is a pleasure to see and hear such quality. Keep it up 👍
Can I just say, you are beyond gorgeous. Love that you get all dolled up for these videos, your outfits and makeup are always on point! 👌🏽
I love to watch you smile when you hear them sing. I think Voctave is fabulous 🌸
I just found your channel and I love it! I adore Voctave and it’s so refreshing to see these again with professional and informative ‘commentary’ if you can call it that (I don’t know the correct word). Thank you so much! I wish I could get vocal lessons with you but I’m across the pond unfortunately. If you see this, have a look at Spirit Young Performers Company. They do some amazing medleys, including musical and Disney.
Great video again, so happy you are doing more of this! :)
I love watching your reactions, especially your facial reaction :) It makes me smile. Apart from the professional reatcions, it jts makes it so cute and human
Glad to have found you. Old guy singer who has an extremely talented daughter singer. I referred her out to you tonight. You have an excellent blend of technical and emotional advice on music. Thanks!
I really find these so fascinating. Thank you!
Please react to their arrangement of "Impossible Dream". And just so you know, fun fact about the group, the first soloist with the facial hair, his name is Jamey Ray, only has one arm, and makes all of their song arrangments! Thanks for your reactions!!!!
Malachi Fuimaono Unbelievable, I've been following the Voctave's work for a while now and I haven't even noticed that Jamey only has one arm. Thank you for the information!
@@yolamoondaughter4660 yeah np!! I didn't notice till they released this song about a year and a half ago!!
Love your reaction vids, Tara! Thank you for sharing.
The girl doing the high note is Kate Lott. In case you didn't know. all of these singers are part of the Disney group in Orlando.
Please do Voctave's Great Movie Medley!!!! The whole tribute is John Williams based, and I absolutely love it!!!
i have been watching your videos and all that i can say is, you are a true vocal coach, well freaking done, i am adicted to your videos :)
I love your reactions, analysis and VOCTAVE! Suscribing from Uruguay =)
I love the insight you bring to these reviews. Most people, even those knowledgeable of music, may comment on the structure or vocal quality, but never on technique. I find that the insights here, and on your Instagram, have been immensely helpful.I hope you continue to do these, and I look forward to your eight-week course. ^_^
I’m new to your channel, and I love it! As a musician and recording engineer, I’m most grateful for your understanding and explanation of how vocal artistry works within a recorded mix. So many coaches confuse vocal performance with recording engineering and mixing. You are helping me help singers understand how performance & arrangement choices affect what I have to work with to produce a finished product that isn’t simply “fixed in the mix.” If I had one request, maybe talk a bit about how singing into a studio mic (distance, axis, dynamics control) differs from live performance into hand-held dynamic mics. Groups who understand how to interact with their mics to move a song through its arc are fantastic to record. (And WAY easier to mix/engineer.) The mic is a singer’s sole conduit to the UA-cam/iTunes/SoundCloud/etc. world, yet they rarely appear to be taught how to “play” it. Awesome videos! You’re also making me a more confident, technically proficient singer - my biggest hurdle as a musician. Thank you!!
Tara! I am fairly new to your channel and your reviews. Thank you for sharing your tips and techniques with everyone as you critique; so cool!
Voctave is probably my favorite group of any genre and I am so glad to hear you react and talk about them!
Your suspicions of the ultra high soprano riff is probably spot on, by the way; the shorter of the two who always has the best mouth for oohs! Haha! It was Kate.
Can't wait to watch the techniques video you mentioned as well as some of your older video critiques! Love what you do... Thank you!
2:22 I just love this reaction. Not only this, the entire video is both educational and fun to watch. You're just great, and this is definitely top one "vocal coach reacts" channel.
Ugh I could not love these reaction videos more, it’s so freaking interesting hearing your deconstructions of them! Please react to Voctave’s ‘Mary Did You Know’, would love to hear your thoughts on it... so much amazing stuff in it (including a badass power note from Mark Lowry and Voctave soprano Kate Lott hitting a D6, Eb6 and even a G-damn-6!)
Yes I was hopping you would do this one!! I'm so excited 😄😄
Thank you so much for reacting to this! Please react to more videos by voctave! Especially their “Once Upon a Dream”
love your reaction! I agree with you that one of Voctave's main strengths is that they seem to love doing this! Their love for music comes across so clearly....
That bass singing the last solo was solid. Those were some high notes for a bass.
p.s. the woman who normally sings the really high notes in Voctave is Kate Lott.. you should listen to some compilations of her high notes, the highest she’s went up to is a G6 i believe!
Yay! Loved this video! More Voctave vids!!!
Mary did you know by Voctave featuring Mark Lowry is absolutely phenomenal. A must see. Keep up the good work
Great video, Tara! Just recently found your channel and I’m loving it! You should review Resound-Disney Medley next!!
these video reviews are su fun and really informative!
Anything with Voctave is amazing! id say their "Mary Did you know" cover was one of my favorites!
I’m one of those people who can’t help but sing along when I hear a song I know.. but when I listen to voctave, their harmony is so good that I just wanna listen to every moment of it.. so amazing
Just discovered you today and LOVE your style. Brings me back to voice lessons years ago. :) Two requests! Please review Voctave's "Someone Like You" featuring Jody McBrayer and/or any of Rachel Potter's work (indivdiual or with VoicePlay). Keep up the great work!
Hi Tara! Voctave just came out with a new Christmas song, Oh Come All Ye Faithful. Would really like to hear your take on the soloist. I was personally BLOWN away! Thank you! Love your videos! Much love!
Reaction to Voctave “Let There Be Peace On Earth” - spotlights the alto ladies and a FANTASTIC tenor!!
Thank you Tara for your Voctave “Show Stoppers” reaction. I think you would be quite interested in Voctave’s “Someone Like You” featuring a guest singer Jody McBrary. Very much a different style singer. Enjoy your discussions so much!
You should do voctave Mary did you know, it's amazing!!!
I LOVE these videos.
You're like the Cheese Expert lady, but with voice.
I should be studying, but this is so refreshing!
Kate Lott is the high soprano at the end. Her tone is unmistakable.
The second tenor that performed gets very close to her upper register in their video "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame"
I'd love to see you review that!
Fantastic! I enjoy watching your reviews. It would be awesome if you can do a vocal review of all their videos! Thanks again!
How about Voctave's version of "Mary Did You Know", featuring Mark Lowry? Beautiful cover, and great showcase and talent from the writer of the song.
Matthew Rents YES!!!
She has done a video on that one.
I'd love to hear your impressions of Voctave's Disney's Fly Medley. That was the number that first introduced me to the group and I still love hearing it. If I'm not mistaken, they had 1 or 2 more singers in the group. It's another fun, fun song! Again, love these videos and really, really admire your voice!
It's one of their earlier songs, so I think it might even have a couple different people in the group.
Yeah some of the singers in Voctave now weren't in that group. Before voctave they first put out videos, known as The Magic of Voices, all before they made an official group. Actually even one of the sopranos alongside with tiffany, sing just as high as Kate. Different tones but just as beautiful!!!
@@awesomemalz199 Yup, that high soprano is Jackie stressman.
You have to do Mary did you know with Mark Lowery with Voctave it’s unbelievable!
Tony De Rosa, the man with the beard next to the first singer (Jamie Ray, Voctave's arranger), conducts when needed.
Such good work of yours
I think you should review some of the Voices of Liberty from Epcot at Disney World. A lot of the people who are in Voctave also sing in Voices of Liberty. They sing a lot of Americana music. I would like to see what you think and compare the two groups.
The gentleman who did the first solo is James Ray who does a majority of the arrangements for the group. As you have heard those arrangements are crazy.
Love your reaction videos 😊
I would LOVE you to do Voctave's "Oh come, O Come Emanuel" It has the most chilling alto solo I have EVER heard and Mrs. Lott KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK with her solo on "I Wonder as I Wander!" Holy cow she is SO amazing. They are ALL at the top of their game.
I love these videos of yours. They're fabulous. Really enjoying learning about the different vocal techniques. :) If you're looking for suggestions for reviews to do, Ringmaster's Notre Dame Medley is one I'd love to see you do. :)
I'm not a singer at all, and have no knowledge of singing techniques or whatsoever but I really love watching your video's, I think they're really interesting
Check out Voctave's "Mary did you know" whether you review it or not. Your ears will be in heaven.
I'd love to see you react to other things that are not Voctave as well! As great as they are haha
Great video! You should review Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess in Phantom of the Opera and/or Love never dies!
I absolutely adore you and your honesty with your teaching method. It has personally helped me with my own style and technique. The only suggestion I have, is to please critique Haley Reinhart's rendition on "Creep". It would personally help me and others who sing in a more alternative style. But thank you deeply for what you do. Not many of us can afford vocal lessons. And the care you bring to your craft is amazing ❤
Voctave's version of "The Impossible Dream" is phenomenal! Definitely do that one at some point
2 of them sing the old "Disney Animazement Trio" with an independent soprano and its GREAT. Best rendition of that mostly unknown medley I've ever heard.
Great movie medley!!!!
Please do Voctave and Vocal Majority - A Million Dreams! It’s a great way to see Voctave performing live!!
I love your reaction to the basses low note at 1:34 lol
I like this outfit! 🔥
Another great video! I would love to hear your thoughts and react to SoHyang's Arirang!!!
I also second your need to hear and react to Voctave's Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame...it is FABULOUS!!!!😊
React to Voctave Cinderella medley, your comments are so interesting and that medley is my favorite!
They all work as performers at Walt Disney World, mostly as singers at Voices of Liberty that's why you can see how they are enjoying singing with one another.
Great reaction. I haven't seen this one yet, but now I really want to go and watch it with headphones. It seems like a really fun medley they did. Something I heard you mention is when the one guy lifted his leg to hit the note and you said you liked full-body singing: Have you ever seen any of Ben Platt's performances from Dear Evan Hansen? If not, I think you would Really enjoy watching him, and I think it would be fun to watch you react to him from your vocal coach perspective :) He performed a few of the songs on a number of the late night shows and such, so if you Haven't seen any of him and decide to react to it, if you wanted to focus on just him and his singing instead of having your attention split between his singing and watching what's happening on stage, that would probably be the better way to go :)
Thank you for the video! Just my preference, but I like it when you stop the video at notable spots for your dissection and analysis. :)
I agree! Even though it makes the video a bit lengthier, the detail process and depth somehow adds more entertainment to me.
Voctave - Mary did you know. Not as much pop, IMO really lets the amazing vocals go big and has some crazy rich harmonies (the guest soloist is impressive as well). Let's worship some chords!
I wonder if you got comments telling you not to pause so much? I actually prefer it and enjoy seeing you explain what you are hearing. Please continue doing these reactions!
Amazing review , you have to react to heir Great Movie Medley as well ! It’s epic !
Yes! Thank you!
Please give your reaction to Voctave’s version of O, come all ye faithful. It’s just amazing!
I absolutely love your video 😘
as a 90s child this made me very happy :) Nostalgia OVERLOAD
If you listen to voctave with headphones it makes them so much better than they already are
Million Dreams by Voctave
It’s so great!
The high note is sung by Kate Lott, she is amazing (she's the one standing next to the one in the "grey cardigan")
The Great Movie Medley and Mary Did You Know? Trust me. They are both amazing. Voctave is incredible. Also. The soprano that's up in the rafters is Kate Lotte.
You should do a reaction to Vocal Spectrum's Aladdin Medley or any other number. Possibly the greatest barbershop quartet I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
you should check out their "A Million Dreams" cover collab with Vocal Majority :) what a treat to the ears
"I don't know which woman that was." Whereas the rest of us who've been binge watching all of Voctave's videos immediately recognise it as Kate XD
I'd love to see you react to Voctave's "The Impossible Dream"! It's amazing but the soloist makes some very interesting choices with her vowels, and I think your input on that would be very insightful!
I absolutely love your channel! It's great to watch reaction videos from people who actually know what they're talking about. I feel like I've learned a lot just from the few videos I have watched.
I think you should check out Voctave's video Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame. It's much different from the one's you have reviewed because it's not in studio. The singers have to be much more intentional with stage presence since they are lip syncing.
PLEASE review more voctave videos! They have a handful of great videos.
Hey Tara! Please react to Katrina Velarde singing Go the Distance! That ending though!!!
Scott Hoying’s collab with Mario Jose is amazing I think you should react to that!! ❤️
Another Voctave video please.
Great Movie medley
So Hyang: Lean on me
I just found you today, and I love your videos. I don’t know if it’d be too much of a bother, but I have never taken a single singing lesson but I’ve loved to sing and learned things here and there from the voice and performing in musicals myself. I was wondering if it’d be possible for you to make a “Singing for Begginners” kind of video with tips for people just starting out?
OMG I loved her reaction to Kate’s transition into Just Can’t Wait to be King at 2:21 🤣
Please do Impossible Dream next! It's my absolute favorite voctave song
Would love to see you react to some of the Broadway Princess Party videos. 😍😍
Very much enjoy your comments and very keen and precise observations. I've learned a lot just by your suggestions not only here but other reviews. You should know that the first vocalist was Jamey Ray who is the genius arranger and founder of Voctave. I would love it if you could review 'Someone Like You - Voctave (feat. Jody McBrayer)' as I would like to hear what you think about Jody's technique. /RayK
You should do Jeremy Jordan and Ashley Spencer's "Songs from Past Shows" medley! :) Love your channel!
