Thanks for the walkthrough. I was looking for Tattwa Shuddhi exercise and found it under a different name. Seems to be quite unexplored or not freely shared in western world.
Madam, Thanks for creating this highly educative video. Have one question. Colors associated with different Chakras is different from the colors you have mentioned in this video. For example, Muladhar/Root chakra is Red. But, you have associated yellow color to it. Sumilarly, swadhisthan is orange. But, your video shows it as blue. Please let me know the reason behind this difference. Regards, Subhendu
Hey Subhendu - that is a good question. When I researched Bhuta Shuddhi I found different ways to perform the practice, but I followed a method based on tantric tradition. In this method the visuals are about more than just the color - it's also about the number of petals on the lotus and the imagery (the moon, serpent, triangle, etc). I've done some research on chakra colors too and the first time I've found them written in English was from a 1927 book called The Chakras by C.W. Leadbetter. There's a theory in the west that chakras having an associated color is more of a new age idea (whereas Bhuta Shuddhi might be older). I wish I could read in other languages to understand just how far back the idea of chakra colors goes in Hindi or even Sanskrit because I'm very curious about the history of the color concept. I've also thought to check out the oldest art I could find showing chakras which interestingly is pretty consistent about lotus petals, but not so much with color - but also who knows how limited color pigments were back then so artists may have been limited. In any event, I hope that helps explain!
I tend to feel like the best time to do anything is the time when you'd actually do it. This is why I schedule visits to the gym first thing in the morning when I can't talk myself out of it. Specific to Bhuta Shuddhi tho - I like when I do this practice at night I feel like I'm sloughing off all the stresses of the day - and that is nice. This may or may not be best for you. I'd say experiment and see what suits you best.
That was great thank you so much 👍😊

When is the best time to do this meditation, Madam?
