So much time has passed, and this song is still in my head
Same
Same
Same!
You prolly dont care but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the latest series on Instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last couple of weeks :)
@Aden Shane Definitely, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself =)
I remember watching this 10 years ago with my grandma... she passed away about a year later. Sometimes this song comes back into my head and I feel happy knowing how we both just loved this song. It keeps a lot of happy memories for me
Rest in peace my friend. Really sorry to hear that.
This was my fav in 2011...I loved this song so much...greetings from Germany^^
Fand die auch super!
Bei mir das gleiche
I heard this before: Pet Shop Boys - I Get Along
hat mein Leben geprägt dieser Song und wird es auch weiterhin tun. Let‘s make a new Tomorrow!
daydreaminx ich liebe diesen Song auch ist mein absoluter Liebling
This is the reason why juries are needed in Eurovision. They saved that beautiful song
This song made me fall in love with Denmark. I woke up the morning after ESC 2011 with this song in my head and I looked up the lyrics to figure out where that song came from. I have been listening to AFIL ever since. They are just so amazing! Sending love from UK
He was running while he was singing. Awesome performance!
After 11 years I still know the name of band and song to listen to it again: well done lads, you had a banger back then
This is my childhood song. Im 17 and i used to listen that when i was a toddler. Im crying every time i hear that again. Love from Azerbaijan, this song deserved to win! 🇦🇿❤
Who is still here in 2022 I come back now and then this song is amazing and the lyrics are still very relevant in this crazy crazy world we are all living in
This song should have won. The best song by far in the contest since I began to watch it. If only the UK could send in some decent songs like this
cloudninedreamer96 Yup, I don't like the UK entries as well :/ Look at Australia, they immediately smashed it with their entry and they weren't even prepared for participating at all
cloudninedreamer96 blue was good and molly
Denmark and Azerbaijan should have traded places with Denmark winning in 2011 and Azerbaijan in 2013.
You got your wish the UKs song sounds very similar to it this year.
cloudninedreamer96 Cough Cough molly Cough Cough she came 17th Cough Cough
One of the few times when Iceland was totally justified in giving 12 points to Denmark. This is totally brilliant; catchy, moving and hopeful, and very well performed. Well-deserved 5th place for Denmark!
Haha, yeah..😬 We (Iceland) always end up giving everything to Denmark. It's a thing that nobody understands
I hope A Friend in London are doing okay. Still think this song should have won!
+Joanna van Zeller They broke up within three years of this performance.
Yeah, I regret commenting before Googling.
Still the best eurovision song!
Personally I like this song but, to say it's the best belive me it's too
Hllo

Hello Mster
This song was written by the same author as Only Teardrops and Love is Forever.
Dude I hope you can sing a song
But this one is way better
Wow, love all of them. The best 3 song from Denmark
Danish Kirkorov
I remember being an 11 year old watching this with my family, my older brother was in awe of the song & as I got a little bit older, I became the same. Absolute incredible piece of music
Although 9 years have passed, I still listen with love. It's definitely my favorite. Loves from Turkey 🇹🇷♥️🇩🇰
Ben de oyumu bu şarkıya vermiştim,hâlâ da dinliyorum.
Thank god the juries saved this song
So deserved top 5, happy they got it
The memories! :') This was the first time I ever listened to A Friend In London and now they're one of my favourite bands. They should have won!
I remember when I saw this in 2011 my first reaction was that they have such a soft sound compared to how they look and then I realised how great the song is. This is the only esc song from 2011 that I still have on my Spotify playlist and will occasionally listen to.
*7 FUCKING YEARS AND I'M STILL LISTENING DAT GOLD*
Definitely the best in Eurovision 2011!
And defenitly a copy from Andreas Johnson's "Sing for me" from Melodifestivalen 2006 where he came 3rd in the final.
+IsakVideos Well i was curious about this song u said , and i listened to it..
And let me tell u that there is no similarity between the songs , sounds completely different my friend .
No, the tempo on this song is 50% slower, but thats it
it's not a copy, but some of the harmonics or directions the lead melody goes in might be compareable.
Azerbaijan is the best
But this also deserved top 3
Love this song so much! 8 years has passed, and I am still back here every now and then. Thanks, Denmark!
This song was my favourite song when I was a kid, I remembered about this song and decided to search it up and I still remember all the lyrics.
i still listen to this in 2022
Almost ten years has passed and this song is still one of my favourite ESC songs of all time. They deserved the win 🥰
8 years after this magical moment
Still one of my favorites songs ever!! Have them on my playlist 💘💘💘
The literal most underrated song in Eurovision's history
5th underrated?
@@martingaleana1493Considering Azerbaijan won and Sweden were third - yup totally!
@@EmoBearRights it was one of the weakest year i agree.
@@whatever1661 I don't think it was that bad it's just the good stuff was a bit niche and/or not that popular with the televoters. I would say I'm mostly on the juries side but they liked that really boring ballad from Austria. I'd say the 13 Malmö contest was worse.
@@EmoBearRights Pastora Soler (Spain) a year later ended up in a 10th place, and her song was way better than 95% of the songs that year
2011 was and awesome year for the ESC
Adèle Blue not really, musically it is one of the weakest years in a looong time... but the good songs was really good, like this one
Jonathan Gaathaug exactly... Italy,Bosnia,Denmark and Romania were so beautiful :) Azerbaijan meh, total sham
+Mircea M Estonia
+Adèle Blue Agree to a point - many brilliant songs, but none of them actually managed to win.
+Adèle Blue Yes, but my country came last in semi-final :/ But Sweden or Denmark sould've won :)
"You're the diamonds, you're the pearls." Pokémon reference perhaps?
SINNOH CONFIRMED
My favorite song from 2011 together with Sweden
In 2011 Denmark is 18th in televote, in 2012 Spain.
Two masterpieces
😂😂😂
The one year I actually watched Eurovision and fell in love with this song. Still amazing today, even it’s remixed 🥲
Still the best song I've heard at all EV contests over the last 10 years.

Written by Lise Cable who also wrote "Love Is Forever" (2019). :-)
And she wrote the wonderful ”Fra Mols till Skagen” in 1995 top, right?

Copengagen 2012!
this song just randomly popped in my head :D
Beautiful song...
We used to sing it with my sister. I miss those days.
It’s 2021 and I still listen to it! 🎧 💖
First time I'd ever watched Eurovision and since then every year I long to see performances like this. Of course it rarely happens.
I'm glad that this wasn't playback
There's no playback for vocals ever on Eurovison. It's against the rules. Croatia broke that rule once in 1999 with an otherwise wonderful entry where they played a synthesized male vocals in the background. They still got 4th place, but their points where reduced when calculating 5 year average score.
Quite contrary, live instrument music is banned since 2004. Entries since 1999 preferred backing tracks over the orchestra.
TheSilentWolf Norway was allowed to used mixed vocals. They asked for permission.
Great memories! I remember watching this when i was 7y old, and now it has already been over 8 years...... Good old times.....😢❤️
Should've won!

The first eurovision I've ever watched and the first song. I know it camed 3rd by running order but i skipped the first two. This song will be legendary for me
First thing I think of when I hear Eurovision I was only 7 when I heard this song but I remember I had my dad track it down and put it on a cd for I loved it so much thank you
I called for this song like 25 times or even more..it is still so good :)
I still listen to this at random times, we used it in rythm gymnastic group I was in when I was younger, like maybe around 8-9 years old. Im 23 now, but its still something I look back on with smiles, when I hear the song
I still think this should have won tbh. I do say this as a dane, so Im abit biased.
still love this song
Man if he wasn't that nervous we might have won.
@Bella the bunny's channel he seemed a bit

Best eurovision, the songs that year were all very good

Had the opportunity to meet these guys in Toronto last week... they're AWESOME DUDES! + even more awesome acoustic!
This was a great song, great lyrics and very well performed. Denmark always send quality acts and songs, they deserve to be more successful than they are. For me, this was the winner that year. I still listen to it today.
Great song!
