फ्लेक्स फ्यूल क्या होता है?
फ्लेक्स फ्यूल इंजन दरअसल वो इंजन होते हैं जो पूरी तरह से पेट्रोल ईंधन पर चल सकते हैं, पूरी तरह से बायो-एथेनॉल पर भी चल सकते हैं या फिर दोनों के मिश्रण पर भी चल सकते हैं. भारत में अभी फ्लेक्स फ्यूल इंजन वाली गाड़ियां नहीं बिकती हैं, लेकिन बहुत जल्द ऐसा होगा.

आज ईंधन की खपत बहुत ज्यादा हो रही जिसका सीधे तौर पर असर पर्यावरण पर देखने को मिलता है, जबकि फ्लेक्स फ्यूल वाहन तुलनात्मक रूप से कम जहरीले धुएं को पंप करते हैं, जिससे यह पारंपरिक गैसोलीन की तुलना में पर्यावरण के अधिक अनुकूल विकल्प बन जाते हैं.
फ्लेक्स फ्यूल अच्छा है या बुरा?
इथेनॉल गैसोलीन की तुलना में क्लीनर को जलाता है, जिसका अर्थ है कि फ्लेक्स-फ्यूल कारें पर्यावरण में कम जहरीले धुएं को पंप करती हैं। फ्लेक्स ईंधन भी कम ग्रीनहाउस गैसों का योगदान देता है, जिससे यह पारंपरिक गैसोलीन की तुलना में अधिक पर्यावरण के अनुकूल विकल्प बन जाता है।
Flex Fuel यानि की Flexible fuel, दो ईंधन को मिलाकर तैयार किये गए फ्यूल को फ्लेक्स फ्यूल कहते हैं. जैसे- पेट्रोल में एथेनॉल या मेथेनॉल मिलाने पर जो मिश्रण तैयार होगा, उसे फ्लेक्स फ्यूल कहा जायेगा. एथेनॉल क्या है? एथेनॉल एक एल्कोहल बेस्ड फ्यूल है, जो मुख्य रूप से गन्ने से बनाया जाता है
फ्लेक्स फ्यूल सामान्य इंजन वाली गाड़ियों में कान नहीं करता है, इसके लिए एक स्पेशल फ्लेक्स फ्यूल इंजन होता है, उसे फ्लेक्स फ्यूल इंजन कहते हैं. फ्लेक्स फ्यूल इंजन दरअसल वो इंजन होते हैं जो पूरी तरह से पेट्रोल ईंधन पर चल सकते हैं, पूरी तरह से बायो-एथेनॉल पर भी चल सकते हैं या फिर दोनों के मिश्रण पर भी चल सकते हैं
