Growing up as a kid I remember I use to a game called bloody knuckles we would punch each other’s knuckles till someone gave up ... interesting that he mentioned that knuckles game I’m sure what we were playing came from prison
My dad did my whole childhood and teenage years in prison I've visited every prison in MD from eci to jessup, sykesville, Hagerstown, Cumberland. From camps , pre release med and maximum. When we were little we would guess which building we were going to because other than sykesville there's multiple prisons on the same street. As an adult I got with someone who did time and did stupid things because I thought I was on love, thank God I got wise. I see so many young girls breaking law for some one who's just finessing them.

I was in Rikers in ‘79. I was in 3 lower in c76 building. It was my first time and a dude from the house gang. He wanted to take my sneakers and it was late night. When he came back in the morning, he brought along another person which turned out to be my cousin. I was ready, but, I was glad to see my cousin. In the end me and rican had it out and I got the best of him. But it was treacherous being there. I also had another fight with 2 ricans, which I happened to knock one of them out. Remember I was the only white guy there. Let me tell you, the Lt. that happened to be Hispanic, didn’t like what he saw and started to swing a broom. The rest is history.... bad place to be at...
I am curious as to the treatment of modern day Italian american mobsters in New York state prisons. With all of these New York mobsters locked up it would make sense that in some facilities they have high enough numbers. In federal prisons Italian American mobsters are still respected and feared. But federal prisons tend to be safer then state prisons. They have less violent gang members, are better funded and are not as overcrowded.
Back when you went through it was rough for the Mighty Whitney's that came through ,no troops till you would of got up north. My older cousins would tell me,who wore your street cloths back then in the HDM days ☘☘☘

Out of all the county jails I ever been on, Rikers was by far the most violent. These stories dude telling is the truth. Dudes getting they face cut open, inmates regulating the phones, etc. I was on the sanitation crew, in my 6months I cleaned up so much blood it wasn't even funny SMH... I never seen any other county jail that ran the way Rikers did. Its more like a prison if u ask me. I kept myself busy with a job/radio/books. I socialized with other inmates but I kept my circle really small, 2-3dudes

Out of all the county jails I ever been on, Rikers was by far the most violent. These stories dude telling is the truth. Dudes getting they face cut open, inmates regulating the phones, etc. I was on the sanitation crew, in my 6months I cleaned up so much blood it wasn't even funny SMH... I never seen any other county jail that ran the way Rikers did. Its more like a prison if u ask me. I kept myself busy with a job/radio/books. I socialized with other inmates but I kept my circle really small, 2-3dudes
