@@Hoplopfheil I'd put both of y'all at a solid B personally. A good recommendation from either of y'all carries a lot more weight than most other places
Idk who needs to hear this but I miss the 8 hour episodes like you wouldn't believe. Give me the 3am SME just drunkenly spilling their guts at how they truly feel about things back.
I was one of the cringe dudes who still is, was before the craze, and always will be into zombies. I was into zombies from before I was in double digits age. I wish it didn't get co-opted by the mainstream to make it oversaturated.
Yes, it happened. It happened when I worked at SFARTETC at Fort Bragg, late-ish 90s or so. The committee was invited to go and while we were there we were given the "sales pitch" to come and join them. And yes, lots of people went to work for them eventually. Where they ended up after 9/11 is not where they started in the mid/late 90s.
When Call of Duty came out it was funny because even active duty infantry guys wished their day to day was half as cool, haha. Nothing quite like a barracks room AAR of a COD multiplayer game, fueled by shitty beer, where your platoon mates roast eachother mercilessly.
Good discussion, however, I strongly disagree with Brass Facts’ assertions starting at the 1:31:29 mark. He basically states that civilians don’t need to worry about small unit tactics. In a potential extreme situation where there is a protracted absence of law and order or a general widespread conflict, violent gangs or other armed groups will be the major threat. Vital resources would become scarce, and they’ll come for yours. You can’t just run away and play recce games at that point. You will have to stand and defend your family/ home/ neighborhood/ community. How do you do that? With your own group. Which groups will win in that scenario?
You missed the entire point. He's saying your "potential extreme situation" is extremely unlikely to happen. You are living in a fantasy. It's better for the civilian to train for something like Katrina's aftermath, ie somewhere between your scenario and order.
@beefstick Nah, that's not at all it. I train small unit tactics all the time. Civilians can execute, and train small unit tactics. My entire channel is based around civilians preparing to ultimately function in a SUT environment I'm saying don't copy the military textbook. It's not applicable universally for civilians. Civilian's don't have the mass, logistical backing, and ability to handle attrition that military units do. We also value our lives to the highest level. While in the military values the mission at a similar if not higher level. My criticism specifically mentioned in the podcast was 2014 era civilian kit was 75% fighting equipment, 25% or less sustainment gear. Which is completely insane even in a full collapse of society concepts.

Great episode Matt!👍😎

Great episode! Great job with the Carnik Con memorial video too
Great show
I love the PTR91 spin off and that I started it.
It needed to be discussed
If a statement is funny enough, it becomes metaphysically true.

Is there a bigger guntuber flex than "i did a video with Dugan Ashley"?
Chapman Academy-Ray was another super-early trainer.
I’d love it if you had bill rapier on
Planning it out as we speak
@@PrimaryAndSecondary That’s great!!! It would be fun to have Kyle Defoor and/or Bill Blowers with Cagle and him as well!

Im not sure thats accurate about SF going to work at BW, possibly his specefic team, but I know quite a few that did get out and go work at BW.

That's who Travis Haley's famous "turkey shoot" video came from. Not sure how many dudes he actually schwacked but he certainly sent the rounds

speaking of ptr, I bought a ptr91gi because of Battlefield 2(2005, not bad company 2)
