Both amazing, also you can walk and fly around the outside if the ships!
I absolutely cannot wait to see where this goes, voyager is one of my favorites and what you have created, the fact it is the scene right now, it is amazing. The level of detail you have put into it is impressive and it really puts me right there like I'm on voyager. Thank you for that.
Put this on your resume. Seriously. This is the creator I want in the next trek game or show. Hands down. Anyone viewing this and thinking otherwise is a clown. Masterful work. Master class.
When you walked to the bridge, I was amazed like if I walked there myself for the first time. It looks more spacious than in the show, giving it a much more majestic feel. For some reason, the bridge felt more serious to me than the show's actual version. Could be the camera angles, the perspective, the model itself... Either way, the feeling was one of awe and marvel. Well done indeed.
If I had a guess, I would imagine it's because Daniel is using the proper dimensions. The show plays a little fast and loose with dimensions to give a bit more of a specific vibe for the episode. There are some episodes where the bridge feels small (fitting for a ship its size) and other episodes where the bridge feels like it's the size of a Galaxy class bridge - way too big. There's also something to be said for the production of the bridge to need to move walls out to get better close-ups or contain all the characters properly in context. A graphical model doesn't do that (because it doesn't need to do that). I prefer Daniel's version as it is obviously most likely what an observer *would* see if they were there in person. The only minor critique I have is the lighting. It's a little too bright for what Voyager demonstrates as the normal default lightning. Beyond that, it is perfection.
you're doing a beautiful job, a true labor of love. It's nice to see the talented work of a true fan of a series we all love. Keep up the amazing work! Even the most minor of assets must have taken quite a bit of time to have made.
One HUGE Voyager Fan from Germany here. Thank you so much! I absolutely love it. All the little details are just breathtaking. Again, thank you ! Thank you 9000 times!
I love the corridor to enter Janeways ready room. It always bugged me on other ships when people have to cross the bridge to get to the captain. Anyone from a visiting foreign diplomat to a naughty enlisted crewmen being called to the carpet might need to see the captain but not have the necessary clearance for the bridge. Also a head for the CO! Nice detail
Wonderful eye for detail, well done, congratulations!!! Amazing work!!! And I'm a CG artist on major movies. Voyager is my fav series, binged it like 10 times and played the games. Didn't see any errors, everything is perfect.
Thank you. This is a beautifully done model! By the way, there's a group of designers working on a virtual Titanic model called Project 401. They're looking for people with your skills. Thanks for sharing this.
For boarding purposes it would make since to put turbo lift down a hall so automated defense systems can trap and eliminate intruders, or just have those systems on the turbo lift itself.
Same here, I was disappointed when the Stage 9 project was terminated. I still have it on my PC and it's disappointing that they'll never finish it. I would spend hours getting lost.
I really love the Voyager design. The set was well ahead of its time with the lights in the floor, and under glow around consoles, steps etc. Also the muted colours. The enterprise was always warm and comfy looking. Voyager looks like it means business. And really, its probably one of the best designs ever considering what it had to endure.
This looks amazing! Two bits of feedback to help proportion/scale- The conference room-- The clearance on either side of the table (11:10). At that time in your vid, you can see that if anyone was sitting at the table in either of the middle side seats, no one would be able to pass. There are some interesting pictures online from the episodes Thirty Days and The Omega Directive that show the sale of the room better, that a wide person could easily pass, even with those seats occupied. Ready Room-- The height of Janeway's desk, as seen in various episodes, comes up to the top of her inseam, slightly below Seven's. Since Kate Mulgrew is 5'5" and Jeri Ryan is 5'8", adding boots or heels (5'7" to 5'10"), this should be between 28 and 32 inches off the floor, with the same height (within an inch or two) of what the side shelf should be. The glass in the railing also appears to not be tinted, as seen on Memory Alpha, The Q and the Grey, etc. Again, great job!
Never realised Deck 1 was this expansive. Always considered it simply the bridge, ready room, conference/meeting room, maybe a tiny bathroom and turbolift. But this all makes perfect sense!
Seeing all this out of a person pov like really walking thought that ship feels so massive. It's a beautiful ship. By far my favorite ship of all of Star Trek.
As always - amazing 😁 For me there is only one thing missing from this animation (but I know I'm weird in that way). The moment when the camera flies close to a window (or a few windows) where you can see the outside of the ship. But that's just my weirdness in this matter 🙂 I miss this in almost every game when there are shots from the inside of the ships and when you look out the window, the outside part is not visible.
I love it. I did this myself in mine craft about 10 years ago. Got the first 4 decks done before I gave up the project. Abviously it was far less details than this. Please dont advertise progress too often or you will get shut down. I can't wait to see how it turns out if you do more though. You plan to do the whole ship?
I've probably said this before, but I do love the idea of the larger viewscreen for Voyager. With the way the bridge is designed, it kind of makes sense for it to have a larger main viewscreen than what we got in the show proper, but I'm guessing that it had more to do with what they were able to show on camera at the time.
Gotta love that neon tube science prop 🤣 It wouldn't be star trek without that in one of the labs haha. This work is top notch man, the detail work you are putting into the lcars (animations) and behind maintenance panels is great to see. I know its odd to bring it up, but you never really get to see a bathroom in the show, however, what you created matches the aesthetics of the ship really well looks really good!
Especially loving the incredibly rendered artwork included in the sim, which deserves a run on its own. The color scheme of the ship is so relentless that only art makes it livable.
I was never a big fan of Voyager, but that was down to the writing staff being too scared to dive into everything that the Voyager situation blessed them with on writing possibilities. One thing Voyager never had a problem with was the Art Department and your work defines then to the best possible level. I don't suppose we could see the Defiant bridge or the Enterprise-D bridge line this, could we?
In the show, the second door on the Captain's Ready room led straight to a corridor in deck 1 (see episode Shattered, where Janeway was grabbed by Chakotay and forcibly given the chroniton serum thingy). But, maybe they just edited out the part where Chakotay passed through the mini-corridor that led to the Captain's comfort room and went straight to the corridor?
Sadly there are always going to be little inconsistences over time in the show. Sometimes have to just go with the compromises that make the best sense.
You know when you see how it actually was in wide screen like this you realise how alien and futuristic the perception of technology like this would’ve been 20 years ago to a lot of the people on set
Must be from the early seasons. Janeway's precious coffee cups picked up a few dents over the years. ;-) Breathtaking. It's almost photo perfect, though there is some minor light artifacting on the metallic rails and the trim around the bridge's forward console and seat base.
thank you good eyes.Thats because of lumen in unreal engine 5. it has problems with metallic reflections. i hope that epic is fixing that in later versions.
For some reason I am just picturing space Carlos running a vacuum cleaner over these floors, probably because it is so empty and quiet it feels "after hours"
Marvellous Work with all those Details. You even modeled the gelpacks. But I am not sure if it is canon. 3 Elevators, Computer Core and even a research lab on the "Bridge Deck"? Do You want to divide that later?
Thank you, there is no official technical guide and the only thing we have seen in the show is the birdge, the ready room and the conference room. I have to fill up the deck1 with my own design to make it work.
Star Trek Voyager Elite Force (the first PC-Game where you could explore the Voyager) had 14 other Decks, including 1 for Computer Core and Science-Labs. There was also an Expansion Pack, where You could explore it completely. Also had full celebrity appearance. Such games weren't produced nowadays.
Voyager was full of isolinear chips, because it is a standard reliable technology. Bio-neural gel packs were new at that time. And even later it wouldn't make sense to push gel packs absolutely everywhere if the isolinear chip would do just fine. Just like in reality we don't push the newest chips everywhere if the older tech does the job just right and is easier to manufacture.
This is impressive! I guess not yet that good to "win" a cease and desist order from CBS, but its really good. ;-) The graphic is almost photorealistic. I like those textures and the reflections look very natural. And all those small details are really nice. Suggestion: I think it would be good to add some slot for hidden phaser and tricorder under the OPS and tactical console. Just like Worf had hidden phaser under his tactical console, as it was shown in TNG ep. 6x12 when Moriarty entered the bridge. Next to that slot, there might be also small shelf or narrow recess for PADDs. I believe there were episodes where they had some PADDs that later were not seen. At least in ep. 3x25 Kim pulled phaser from somewhere without knowing in advance he should bring one. And also that small (waiting) room in front of captain's ready room might use some chairs facing the painting.
It just dawned on me that Operations and Tactical have no chairs. I mean, I knew they had no chairs from the get-go, but it really just dawned on me how awful it would be to be assigned to one of those stations for an 8 hour shift. You're in the back of the bridge, too, so you get the added torture of having to watch everybody else doing their jobs whilst comfortably seated. Maybe Starfleet is more evil than I thought.
Those shifts don't have to be 8 hours. And when it is 8hrs, then it is usually few hours on position, then some breaktime and then again few hours on position, and so on. Not to mention that Starfleet officers are supposed to be much more fit than we are today. ;-)
Love this. Fantastic work. The only thing that I think could do with a bit of work are the plants in pots in the lab. For a ship of this caliber, I think you can do better than those! ;)
Stunning work, it's beautiful. This is what passion creates these days, and it doesn't need big teams to do so. I am wondering, how you were creating all the monitors. Is it general textures / video textures or motion graphics made within Blender? Also I am curious about your computer, how much RAM and VRAM you got for rendering this. It looks like something my system with a 12GB RTX3060 could handle too, but I am still curious. =)
Holy science... Voyager has a toilet?!.... With a dyson hand dryer no less. No idea why the algorithm suggested this video. But im glad it did. Its amazing.
Daniel that's some incredible work to be sure and look forward to seeing more. Though I still don't understand the plumbing in Federation toilets. If sonic showers are a normal in universe thing then why fit a separate hand basin and hot air blower? Theoretically there should be some sort of all in one hand cleaning gadget thingy that does not use water like laser rust remover but gentler. I'll get my coat
thx, i know its weird and confusing. On the one side we have sonic showers but on the other side we have clearly seen several episodes where the crew is washing their hands with water. In the very first episode we see Neelix taking a bath and playing around with water. Janeway also took a bath in one of the episodes. So i dont have a big choice here as i try to replicate what we have seen on the show.
Really beautiful work. I do have some questions on functional design, though, if you wouldn't mind. 1.) Is it really the case that in order to get to the head, all of the bridge crew who don't get to use the CO's potty have to walk through the conference room, or go all the way around the back side of the escape pods past the airlock? Seems suboptimal... Could be that there's a door in the bendy hallway, too (or instead) to better serve the bridge, since that's where people on Deck 1 who aren't the Captain are going to spend most of their time? 2.) Is there a purpose for the room with the pool table and Most Important Prop? Seems like Deck 1 is really for command functions, so I'm just curious if you've given any thought to what that room is actually for?
Hi, yes those are the only two possibilities to get to the head. Its not optimal but there is no other way. I could propably split up the pool room and add another head but i think that would be just to much. I have no clear ideas fo the pool room yet.
impressive work - although I have to admit that I do struggle a bit with defining the purpose of the starboard-aft room. Part of it looks like a lounge of sorts, another part like auxiliary (or redundant) control room of sorts, and another part like someone slapped some engineering-bits in there. That aside, redundancy - although vital - is usually rendered useless by close proximity. IF this is some sort of auxiliary control room, its proximity to the bridge renders it next to useless as whatever takes out the bridge is likely to also render this room inoperable...
If they ever made a Star Trek: Elite Force remaster, this is the level of detail you'd want. Outstanding work!

6:43 Culinary Tour of the Delta Quadrant - Cooking With Neelix 😀
I would love to see that computer core that was visible at the end of the video. some time soon. looked fun down there.
This is a masterpiece , this makes me want to get a VR headset so I can just walk around
You know when you see how it actually was in wide screen like this you realise how alien and futuristic the perception of technology like this would’ve been 20 years ago to a lot of the people on set
This is amazing. I am speechless! Great job ❤
can almost smell the black coffee cooling in Janeways ready room.
God this is like taking a tour of my childhood home.
this looks amazing... i really feel the urge to make an episode of voyager right now xD
inredible works ! " one to beam up "
Must be from the early seasons. Janeway's precious coffee cups picked up a few dents over the years. ;-)
Breathtaking.
Really beautiful work! Sub'd and liked. Can't wait to see more!
Most impressive work, It reminds me when i played elite force 1. makes me wish they had made more of star trek voyager.
Hey, you've even got the Zabrucky-Turnbow Drive in there!
Well done on getting that prop at 9 minutes in. It's a classic :D
For some reason I am just picturing space Carlos running a vacuum cleaner over these floors, probably because it is so empty and quiet it feels "after hours"
Absolutely incredible attention to detail.
Did voyager have isolinear chips though? I thought she was all bioneural gel packs. Amazing work! Wish I could walk around in there.
There's coffee in that nebula
Absolut großartig. Ich hoffe, es endet nicht wieder in einer Unterlassungsklage, wie die ganzen anderen Projekte.
And also that small (waiting) room in front of captain's ready room might use some chairs facing the painting.
great idea, i have that next to the captains seat
Reading this I cant help but think of chairs in front of the principles office lmao
Not to mention that Starfleet officers are supposed to be much more fit than we are today. ;-)
This is incredible, I'd love for this to be a VR Enviroment, and able to put UA-cam or VLC on the main viewer haha!
I can hardly wait to play a game that has full size operable ships with full interiors like this.
As an MMORPG, i would love to be a Member of this crew
Love this. Fantastic work. The only thing that I think could do with a bit of work are the plants in pots in the lab. For a ship of this caliber, I think you can do better than those! ;)
thank you, later when everything is finished i will add nice plants.
The detail is unbelievable 😮
This is soooo good looking.
I think my only critique... the viewscreen looks a bit too wide? But it's also been quite a while since I've seen Voyager.
thx, the viewscreen is on purpose much much wider.
I really like that you expanded viewscreen to look more modern
Stunning work, it's beautiful. This is what passion creates these days, and it doesn't need big teams to do so.
I am wondering, how you were creating all the monitors. Is it general textures / video textures or motion graphics made within Blender? Also I am curious about your computer, how much RAM and VRAM you got for rendering this. It looks like something my system with a 12GB RTX3060 could handle too, but I am still curious. =)
gonna need that in VR. NICE
This show really had lovely sets.
Holy science... Voyager has a toilet?!.... With a dyson hand dryer no less.
No idea why the algorithm suggested this video. But im glad it did. Its amazing.
Nice very detailed except for the isolinear circuitry voyager used bio neural gel packs
They used both
Daniel that's some incredible work to be sure and look forward to seeing more.
Wow. Am I dreaming? This is incredible. Good to miss the Security close-ups. Never know if a Cardassian spy is is going to watch the video.
I can't even imagine the work you put into this, well done!! Are you using unreal engine?
You need to put a team together and make a game!!
This is incredible! Keep up the great work!
Star Trek Online II is looking awsome, can't wait to play.
it´s great, I look forward to the rest of the ship ...
This is sensational. Wow.
impressive work - although I have to admit that I do struggle a bit with defining the purpose of the starboard-aft room.
Good god, this looks so good! 😃
Well done.
