@robertmaher184 The information about Tirana Airport is so outdated. It is designed to handle up to 3M; last year, it handled 7.2 M. This year (2024), only in June, it handled 1+M passengers. Daily scheduled flights are approx 250+ (a+d)

My apologies for the massive underreporting in the stats. That really is a significant increase from previous years. I've just read that the projections are even higher. Thanks for the correction.

The airport of Tirana is expected to serve 8.4 million passengers in 2024, director of Albania’s civil aviation authority AAC, told local media last week
In 2023, the airport of Tirana handled 7.26 million passengers, 40% more than a year earlier, the airport operator said earlier

Nice video and Albania seems like a nice place to visit. Air Serbia is not a low-cost airline, so I think it's natural they'd only operate a flight between Belgrade and Tirana, and not serve Tirana in some other way. That's not how they work. And two flights a day is actually quite frequent for two relatively small and poor countries.
Also, note that the aircraft doesn't have fixed 8 seats in business class, it changes per demand and can be reduced to one row only.

Thanks for your considered response. It's interesting how different airlines operate and serve various markets. I wasn't criticizing Air Serbia's operational strategy as two flights a day demonstates a commitment to maintaining connectivity. My comments was based on market share data, where Wizz Air holds 62% and Air Serbia has 0.05%, highlghting the scale difference between the two airlines servingTirana. Thanks for your insights. Interesting they can adjust the business class seating based on demand. Shows flexibility.

@@robertmaher184 Hi, thanks for the response.
I didn't think you criticized it, I was just trying to say that they have different operational models. Wizzair establishes itself in various cities and then maintains operations from them (they have 3 or 4 aircraft in Belgrade too, as far as I remember) while Air Serbia is a much more centralized airline operating mainly, if not only, out of Belgrade.

@@danal81 Sounds like Wizz Air's competitive strategies are putting pressure on other airlines. And a challenge for traditional carriers to compete with.

    Hi Robert another great video
    I loved Tirana's new terminal.
It sort of had a Christmas vibe making your experience quite festive.
Air Serbia was a suprize in a positive way.
A snack and coffee on such a short flight.
The crew were smiling something the JAT crew of yesteryear would never have done
    Nice day for flying also...

Thanks Robert, it's a matter of time that Albania will become the "in place". I liked Belgrade on a fleeting famil back in the 80's and remember my flight from Dubrovnik - Vienna, with JAT. But I still prefer the name Yugoslavia

Okay, as a Serb I know that. But what is the point of that information, with a video of this type, whose topic is not history. We Serbs are always strange. Let's be proud of our origin, but let's be people of the world, broad understandings, and let's stop fooling ourselves like the Balkans by insulting each other. Greetings from brotherly Montenegro 🇦🇱🇷🇸🇸🇮🇧🇦🇭🇷🇲🇪🌍
