I don't know, I'm a beginner and of all of these I only have Sauvage and only because I got it as a Christmas present. To me it seems all of these are too similar and popular, why get them?
I usually ask the person a few questions. That's how I get an idea what sorta stuff they're used to/comfortable with and whether they wanna continue with something similar or switch things up completely. Montblanc Explorer ends up being my most common recommendation. Also, Dylan Blue and L'Eau D'Isssey. Stuff that's available at brick and mortar stores

I’d say the Sauvage EDT and EDP are great starters. Even tho the EDT is the most affordable one in the line. You’ll pay $20 more for the EDP. Depending on the size bottle you get that is. The Parfum and Elixir are a bit more on the sweeter and mature side. So you’d wanna wait it out a bit before making a choice on buying them. Sample them first. That’s always my recommendation for anyone wanting to buy a fragrance in general. It can be any fragrance. Even if they’re no brainer ones. I still think it’s best to sample them first, that way you can make a decision

hi Ash just wanted to let you know i have been enjoying your videos! i am super into perfumes and have been enjoying my 15 year old son is getting a little interested so i have been looking for him to have a nice little collection... i have so many perfumes that meet any criteria i would ever come upon that i am kind of done looking for me... my 16 year old son uses issey miyake l'eau for men and will not use anything else he loves it... the younger son likes Sedley the most but also has l'occitane in the brown bottle i never hear anything about it but i love it... he also has john varatos the white one, and molecule 1 and musc therapy which i had initially bought for myself but doesn't really use those..for christmas i bought him dylan blue and montblanc legend...edp...such a fun hobby... cologne in high school can be tricky we don't want to knock anyone down so i am looking for fresh appealing ones that can be year round 😊love your insights you have been fun to listen to!!

Hero Edp is very interesting, i expected something woody, bit got a sweet scent instead. Not complaining, i do have alot of sweeter scents, but if anyone wants a woody scent i suggest you try it in your local shop first. I think its nice, but i do prefer Stronger with you only, its similar, but Hero edp is still worth a try
I picked up more colognes this cold weather season than I ever have in a season. All dupes tbh. The last one is still on its way. Kismet Angel= love but not best performance. Detour Noir= menthol overload but still gets compliments and lasts Amber and leather= initially hated it, but it's growing on me. Lasts forever. Not for everyone And on its way... Khamrah Qahwa! Can't wait.

You have been my favourite for years, but it is ridiculous that you have 1000+ fragrances in your collection and your clips are always the same stuff. Not relevant anymore. I know that those are getting watched the most but you are going to lose followers. Where are all those interesting fragrances UNKNOWN like Ineke house or others. Mate...
Those that are unknown are problematic because they probably are unobtainable for a large portion of people. Do that enough times and I'd argue it's worse than rehashed content. As long as it's not "Top 10 Compliment Getting Fragrances for Beginners" every other day rehashed content is fine IMHO and unfortunately the way the algorithm works.

Ash does quite a big selection of different fragrances in his videos, more than most. He also has a balanced content between niche, designer and clones. Beginners definitely gravitate towards Aqua Di Gio. Some people that I know that aren’t into fragrances have Aqua Di Gio. It was one of my first bottles. I don’t like Profundo though/ Profumo and edt for me.

Beginners, I'd recommend anything by Versace or Mercedes-Benz (Man) line. All great picks for me.
I recently picked up MB Le Parfum for a cheap leather fragrance and its very well done.

Bond street number 9 Lafayette Street is a phenomenal formal scent (around the corner on scentual obsessions is a great clone of it.)
