Hi Omar I love perfumes with Cardamom like JPG Le Male Le Parfum, YSL Le Nuit De L'Homme. Anything else you can recommend that is longer lasting and be an all year signature scent? Thanks 👍
I normally go by seasons. I have some that I would never use in summer and others are exceptionally kept and used in hot season. Always good idea to have few versatile ones 👌
I am a broke psychology student (*sighs in debt*) with a very limited budget, but your videos got me into fragrances. I was planning on starting my collection with a few cheapies and then upgrade later on. 1. Versatile: montblanc explorer or versace dylan blue 2. Date/night out: trussardi riflesso or moustache rochas 3. Summer: versace pour homme or eau fraiche 4. Clubbing: halloween man x 5. Uni/work: Ferragamo F Black or Burberry Touch These are my options at the moment, but once I start my internship I’ll be able to save some money. Thank you for your content!
This is a very solid framework for building out a fragrance collection. This is how I’m currently building out my current collection, by fragrances that I enjoy for specific occasions. Two things that I’d like to add: every man should have a niche fragrance, differing volumes of fragrances per season, and different types of fragrances for different climates. I live in Florida so I currently have two aquatics in my collection.
I'm currently at 92 bottles in collection. I want to push for 100 but I got my bases covered and as discussed in this video I have fragrances that smell the same or similar. I recently purchased Isola blu from Roja.
I took your recommendation from your last video on alexandria black panther. If it isn't a 9/10 at least I expect a 50% discount on your Mr fragrance cologne
I got it too and I really love it. A kind of soft grapefruit and lots of ambroxan. Seems simple but it's done really well. I'd look up the discourse around letting it macerate for a bit as well. Some claim it gets much better after you let it sit.
Always funny when people suggest Dylan Blue and Y EDP for younger guys only.Literally any guy of any age can where them very fresh scents so they aren't really age oriented.Angle Share is a very sweet scent yet no one calls it immature scent has no age.
Dylan Blue is for guys 16 - 31 years old. Y EDP is for ages 19-43, while Angel Share is for guys 27-29, then you have to stop wearing it for a while until your kids graduate high school and you can start wearing it again in your 40’s unless your bottle went bad. If so you should replace it with Encre Noir which is the type you must wear as you stare death in the face well into your early 90’s.
do you know why there's so few people talking about 19-69 fragrances? I tried a couple. I love Chinese Tobacco it's super special and Miami Blue a banger for summer. You should look into them
I like seeing the Malaki line by Chopard in your video. Musk Malaki is definitely the best - this is what I call "clean" fragrance. It is super long lasting, very clean and professional and absolutely unisex. I receive so many compliments with it. However, I do not like any of the others, including Oud Malaki - all other scents in the line are annoying to my nose

I find that you don't need to have come through all the fragrance aficionado's "stages," i.e., you don't start at 62 with an 18-year-old novice's tastes. In your 60s, and especially if you are a content, monk-ish single man like me, you're not looking for anything "bubble gum," definitely nothing "sexy," certainly not "beast mode." I'll also add that my tastes keep me away from anything overtly vanillaIn my three-year experience I find that I tend very much towards "niche," definitely away from anything caricaturely cologne-ish, after-shave-ish. I love something with an enchanting, fascinating "quirk," some captivating (i.e., to me if nobody else) hook, the thing that transports you somewhere and creates around you, like maybe in your office if you're blessed to have an office to yourself that people drop in on, a tastefully subtle but distinct ambience. I have fallen in love with things like Oriza L. LeGrand's Chypre Mousse, CdG's Rouge (Beets and Frankincense, my first splurge), Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum, Geo. What’s the number 1 mens cologne that turns everybody’s head when walking by, breaks necks, fills a hallway and room, when walking by they say damn who smells that good, leaves a scent trail, people drool, I need to know,
Post videos with engaging titles and thumbnails, if they perform well enough early on, UA-cam's algorithm will generally push it to people, its more of a consistency thing than hoping one video 'changes everything'
Versace Pour Homme is a wonderful fragrance and perfect for summer, hot weather. On my skin, it really is a very light projector, that’s the only drawback… I think I could wear 1/2 bottle (lol) and it would still be gently scented to those around me.
I love leather fragrances! I also wish they could manufacture a fragrance that smell exactly like gasoline I would buy it instantly. It's too bad gasoline is dangerous otherwise I would smell it all the time.
@School of Scent Yes I have it, unfortunately it feels weaker than I remember it from when I was in my twenties (I'm 45 now). The pure gasoline fragrance would be perfect for me to wear at home, I doubt it would be wearable in public 😁
First point I disagree with: "versatile fragrances". The last thing a collector needs is a versatile fragrance. If you are going to collect then you are gonna have a fragrance for every occasion. I dont see the need for "a fragrance that does it all". Second point: "loud fragrances". I dont think anyone specially needs loud fragrances. If you need to grab attention you need a therapist before a fragrance. 3rd point: To introduce someone to oud, avoid occidental ouds especially Oud Wood that contains none. We cant smell any oud in this so he is not gonna discover what it is. Triad or Oud Monarch from Bortnikoff could be good beguinners oud fragrances if they have the money, with a lot of natural oud. Oud Maximus could be a good way to introduce him to stronger ouds. For cheaper, Ajmal proposes Mukhallat al Shams at a good price. Qurashi blend special from ASAQ isnt expensive too.
Rasasi Hawas is one of those loud fragrances. I love the smell but is too strong for my nose. I wish they create another (new) fragrance (keep Hawas the way it is right now) more soft/weaker.
What about fragrances with lavender? I've been looking for a great lavender-based fragrance for awhile now and sadly they just don't seem to get any love.

What are some niche date night fragrances that are worth it?
PDM Oajan, Kilians Angels Share off the top of my head
Hey school of scent, how did you get so many views just starting out? Dr. K, shades and frags.
Post videos with engaging titles and thumbnails, if they perform well enough early on, UA-cam's algorithm will generally push it to people, its more of a consistency thing than hoping one video 'changes everything'

Fragrance last forever. It last for 8-10 hours. That's not forever
8 to 10 hours is a long time. Idk why people need more than that.
You expected the fragrance to last until the end of time until the universe collapses in on itself? Consumer demands are getting higher each day…
If it lasted forever you'd only be able to wear one fragrance! That kind of power doesn't wash off!
Its da man 😎
Versace Pour Homme is a wonderful fragrance and perfect for summer, hot weather.
Have you tried Dior Fahrenheit edt?
I think I need a therapist now...
Lavender is prominent in many perfumes, depends what style you’re looking for, a great easy choice would be TF Beau de Jour
