Interesting design cues. The grey colour model in particular looks sporty and aggressive. Good to see the interior up to date too.

Me too, since i bought an a3
...and standard with rear drum brakes..,while even Kia Picanto comes with 4 disc brakes. Audi is for homosexuals who buy it for the clean cut LED lights and sugar coated interior,nothing else. However,even the cheapest Kia or Hyundai have nicer looks and interior,anf I won't even talk about reliability...
S.T T. You say you prefer Hyundai because it looks better and the homossexuals are those who prefer Audi for its technology? And this reliability thing of the asian cars seems to be just marketing bullshit.

I love the car, their designers are very mature so they came out with this innovative retro shape, and it is very well coordinated in design lines between the exterior and the interior, and me! I appreciate that very much! The best designer is not who is designing the most expensive car (like what is going on with MB, Jag, BMW, Bugatti, RR, ...etc). Congrats to Audi, lately they are managing with love, honesty and true feelings and not with greed like some others, and this will make them win the challenge that is coming from the far east, of course I mean Audi with Porsche, VW, and Bently (Seat and Skoda are still late, sorry)! Best of luck to these German brands and I ask them to keep up the greatest designs, in small and big cars! :))))

I like the shape of this car outside, but i found out after testdrive, the standard seats are very uncomfortable. Is the Polo in this area better?
That car is gorgeous... I've hasitated to buy the old S1 but have decided to wait the new one... and that was the good decision because this version is WAY better !
What are the materials like compared to the Polo? More soft touch used? Since you didn’t go too in depth with the materials and is the MMI controller gone in this one completely?

Great review, as always. And such a huge improvement in style. No more rounded bubble-shaped rear end of previous generation. At last a nice little 5dr Audi I’d gladly own/drive.

I like the looks of the car! Nicely done!
I am a colour guy, I want colours for my car, inside and out! The yellow accents wrapping the air vents are a nice touch for the interior! I bet these accents will be able to be ordered in other colours as well, so they match the respective exterior colour!
Also, that yellow quilted upholstery is a nice touch!
The interior itself looks fresh, although the overdose of black in the grey car makes it a bit dark! I prefer the theme of the yellow car!
Right after the engine, the cascading indicators are the best invention of car history!

Great review and nice surprise Thomas, I wasn’t expecting this so early. Regarding the car, I feel a bit disappointed. In my opinion it’s lost a bit of the uniqueness of the previous model. I love the tech features though, maybe it will grow in me.

Great review, detailed and informative as always. Concerning the car, it's a major improvement comparing to the old A1 but I didn't like the huge horizontal air vent grill at passenger's side. Any information about the release of a new A3 / Golf?
