In this video the Motos America Team and I head to Birmingham, AL to host a track day at Barber Motorsports Park. It wasnt just a track day though, it was a full two day experience. I got to learn a TON from the coaches and get some great riding practice in with my friends. I had a BLAST and highly recommend that everyone does a track day to truly understand the potential of their motorcycle.

Nice video. As a fellow track rider, I would suggest to you that you work on your body position. Not just getting off the seat, but also getting your head over into the turn. And as a wise man once told me: "Knee over paint". I was always getting my head over the paint, but you really cut a lot of time if you get your knee over the paint, not just your head. Keep the great content coming. Not too many in the motorcycle industry that make the quality content you do.

19:00 Keeping your ass off the seat and placing the weight your weight on your foot pegs (rear sets) is really good advice. It helps in all types of riding.

Barber is such a cool place, you need to go back for their vintage days. They have motorcycles racing on the track throughout motorcycling history and motorcyclists from around the world are there. It's really great.

Not going to lie I like were the go pro sat it made you feel like you were actually riding the bike yourself while watching it was a cool experience. Like when you lean you really look like your inches away from the ground that is so scary I couldnt imagine but it seems really fun

At that museum there is 1 of the britten bikes which is a New Zealand icon who made the first bike in his garage its part of NZ history to know about that bike i cant wait to see 1 in person oneday

I found your yt like 2 weeks ago cause I've started to like get into bikes more but I've been around cars my hole life and ridden quads for 8 years but ik that dont corilate with street bikes other than how to use a clutch lol. But Im 15 so i got a little while and looking at a kawi zx6r for a 1st, would that be a good idea? Cause ik theres mixed reviews about whether to start on a 600 or not. I am a bigger dude tho. Currently weigh 280lbs but i used to weigh 365lbs. Im on my weight loss journey as well😅

all the time not hard on the gas or on the break is veaste and get the opper buddy more in to the corner you must have your heed just over the inner hand and have as light a totsch on the steer as poscibol steer the bike with your buddy weight , all this hanging out is to get the bike as opright as pocibol to get better grip in the corners

Beautiful track, the H2R is track only (sure you knew that but you didn't say it). Great to see an SP2 where it should be, on track and love the track content. It never does well for me but I'm 399,120 less subs soooo hahaha. Solid riding, if you ever take a road trip out to AZ we have a crazy good private track with full facilities (track side houses) to stay at, let me know, we can make it happen!

@@oneonlyxram H2 is much slower, and have diferant parts overal. i have a bmw hp4 and that is the daddy of the s1000rr, why becous it looks better and is much faster.
@@Daniel-qz8bp hp4 race or hp4? Very different bikes. The H2R isn't a ton faster than an h2, with some mods the "stock" h2 is incredible.
@@oneonlyxram hp4 comp, Yes the h2 is great overal, but compared to a h2r it is a kids toy.

Track days are great, but if you really want to get the most out of your track time, you need a lap timer. You will often find that your most "relaxing" unrushed laps are your fastest.

Work on your vision first, learn how use your vision properly, without using your vision correctly, it won't matter how good your BP is. Vision - throttle control - braking and BP in that order. Get yourself a dedicated track back a 400 or 600 you will progress faster, the V4 as nice of a bike it is with all its power and electronics on track is a lot of bike for a novice track rider to progress. Keep going and remember this its more fun to go fast on a slow bike then it is to go slow on a fast bike....
