I don’t like how you have to pay before you can look at their meals.
It may have changed now. I was able to look at the current week meal offerings before I decided to try it out a week ago.

I use Factor because I live in a food desert. Also, the restaurants near me is mostly unhealthy. Factor is cheaper than grub hub and it tastes great. I spit the keto dinners in two and add more veggies to each meal.

During covid at the height of quarantine factor was delivered 1x a week for free in OC and they were delicious! It was too much to consume but spot on with flavor and portion. I couldn’t read anything neither could my mom nor my grandma.

The Agoge diet works great and you feel good, contrary to the keto diet. Keto isn't supposed to be adhered to by healthy people and without medical supervision.

It's a keto thing. Creams, olive oil, etc. added for flavor and fat content. Seems like a perfect fit for Keto and/or Paleo.

@@MissSarahEK VERY impressed, exactly the kinda meals I was looking for (keto/easy). Ive only had the blacken Salmon w/ Gouda and Broc so far, but it was perrrrfect. Surprised that Salmon heated just fine in Microwave using their instructions. A+
It’s a little pricey but you got to remember that you’re not cooking it and you don’t have to wash dishes lol which saves a lot of time out of your day

Plus, it's being delivered in insulated boxes so that it preserves the freshness of the meals. That is never going to be cheap. Lol
Great review. Most of us interested in factor are looking at carb count, not caloric intake. But the taste and photos of the food is very helpful

I just cancelled mine. I liked the food but had major issues with the packaging and shipping. The food trays would arrive just cool and wet, mostly because the frozen gel bags would come open and spill a gross sticky gel inside the box. Also, the deliveries were made from the back of a pickup truck that doubled as a lawn service truck. Not sure how this happened but they were not delivering using reputable, well known services.

I'm 3 weeks in to using factor and enjoying the foods very good. I use the began plant base and think the meals are filling, tasty and satisfying and offer about 7 different meals so far. That's enough variety for me.

Healthy fats are good for you and that's one of the things I like about this meal service! I tried it for the 1st time this week and I'm really enjoying it. It fits my keto lifestyle perfectly!
The ones I’ve tried are delicious! I’m keto but do care about calories so I like the comment below that says she splits them in two and adds more veggies…great idea!
I've been using this service for a while now and I love it. I'll continue to use it for the foreseeable future.
Great for low-carb folk that are also calorie conscious. Low-carb helps make calorie counting more bearable by making you feel full for longer periods of time due to the high fat intake and factor helps take a lot of the work out of daily planning.
Right now, I do no more than 30 net carbs and 50 total carbs per day with a 1748 calorie budget. I log all my food/drink with Loseit and factor makes it all a million times easier. I use my kitchen scale a lot less now and usually just for snacks.

Decent review. I've been using factor for a few months now and after trying out a few other meal delivery services I'm genuinely impressed. Organic delicious keto meals in 2 minutes...yes.

My problem with Factor is the fact that a lot of the meals are around 10-14g net carbs which is hard to stick to a 20g net carb diet per day for ketosis. I used Fresh n Lean before Factor and I would say it is easier to be in ketosis since on average those meals were around 3-5g net carbs and around 400-500 calories per meal. I did Keto Fresh n Lean for 5 weeks and went from 230 lbs down to 194 lbs.

I’ve been using them for 10 months for their keto meals. They are great but the variety for keto is so limited. I’ve basically had the same 6 meals for almost a year, they really need to step it up

That’s why I canceled my subscription. I got tired of all the same meals and veggies all the time.
Remember: the definition of Keto is HIGH IN FAT, moderate protein, and low in carb. It is a form of low-carb, but many low-carb people like bodybuilders think protein is #1. In fact, too much protein gets converted into carbs anyway (gluconeogenesis) and too much protein promotes cancer (autophagy). This company gets it right. Optimized Keto, even for bodybuilders. I still don't know how to say the company's name. The logo is F- which, good Lord, should not have been allowed by their marketing people. I will try them out when I clear out the steaks and chicken from the freezer.

I think you are misunderstanding autophagy. It actually INHIBITS cancer cell survival. I eat a keto diet and reach autophagy while fasting.
I like the idea of factor, other meal services make you make everything like blue apron, i feel like this would be a good option for older people who cant cook for themselves, so they wouldn't have to get fast food all the time, but i would get the nutrition facts easier to read and use a cardboard tray instead of a plastic one, I've also seen cardboard lids on some frozen foods.

Thanks for your honest informative review. I subscribe to factor and alot of what u said rings true. A lot of the other factor reviews I've seen on UA-cam are poorly done or seem like ads .
Thanks for the review, we have used companies like hello fresh but sometimes we just had no time or energy to cook, so we tried one that was tv dinner style like this one, I cant remember the name be we ate maybe 2 of them and threw the rest away cause they where disgusting. We started doing HEB meal simple, but they are limited on what they have. Might give this a try to supplement the HEB meal simple and Kroger ready meals.
Do you think that this service is beneficial for those with adhd, a busy schedule, and who like to exercise a lot?

Does anybody have any info on the quality of the Olive Oil? Most Olive Oils are cut with other low quality seed/vegetable oils...
Got my first delivery scheduled for tomorrow. I'm an old bachelor and need a better diet so thought I would try these. Not cheap but I hate to cook so don't mind paying for the service if it's tasty. Will know soon enough.

Factor is a great option! The meals all tasted great. I also like Freshly. Daily harvest and splendid spoon are both good options if you want healthy plant based meals, although their portion sizes are smaller.

True! I’m just here to point out things that might be important to people 😊
Beware: I deactivated my account after placing an order. I was never told that I also needed to manually cancel the order. The representative I talked to told me this happens all the time. Why have they not fixed this issue? This is a poor way to run a company.
MANY BAD EXPERIENCES: I've had delivery problems and so have the people I referred. I have also received meals that I DID NOT ORDER. Thank God I took screenshots of my orders to prove to customer service that I did not order the meals that were delivered to me. Two of the dishes I would never order. All 4 meals I received were meals I did NOT order. One time they sent me 4 of the same exact meals. Again, I would NEVER order 4 of the same exact meals. My referrals have had their own set of problems with Factor 75. Most of their meals do taste good but they are ALL extremely high in SALT.
You need more salt on keto.
Wow, if your going to have more salt, may as well eat a lean cuisine.

Salt is only a problem if you’re not active or have existing health conditions , I am highly active and sweat a lot so higher salt is beneficial
All nutritional facts are on the app as well in which you will see as well as can double back if case you forget what was in your meal .

I became intrigued by Factor because I'm physically disabled, can't prepare my own meals (as of now), and don't have any way to have groceries delivered to me - so this was a convenient way of getting some decent meals into my home without having to go and get them myself. Your critique on the quality and flavor of the food is promising. I've made my first order of six meals, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they all turn out.

@@MissSarahEK My package of six meals arrived earlier today. I first tried the Middle Eastern spiced beef with cauliflower couscous and a yogurt-tahini sauce. It was even better than I anticipated it would be, and it was also quite filling. I really like that the meals are higher in calories. I'm satisfied with the meal and plan to order more in the future when I have the money.

Cook Unity’ does have variety of choices low carb menus, and if you buy 14 meals at a time for under 15 carbs for dinner that is most affordable too. Fish, meat and chicken...you just got to look.

I know this video was 1 year ago but would you recommend this delivery service for ppl who want to lost weight? Specifically lose some belly fat?
How long did it take to deliver after they prepared the meals? My only worry is that the veggies may not be fresh. We usually don’t eat overnight veggies.
I’m not actually sure how long in advance they are prepared before they are shipped/delivered, but I would guess a few days since shipping was about 2 days I believe.

They need to do a better job with their package and shipping process. I live in Florida and the gel packs DO NOT CUT IT. By the time the boxes have gotten to me, they are melted and even though Customer Service has assured me that the air temp in the box keeps the meals safe, I worry. This last shipment arrived with all the meals coated with the gel and they the paper sleeves were soaked. NOT HAPPY
How quickly do the meals need to be cooked before they spoil? Which ready to cook meal service do you feel is healthiest overall if you’re not on a specific diet?
The packaging says ‘enjoy by’ 7days. You get a new set every week.

4:55 I feel like it might be helpful to mention the volume of food really shouldn't matter when the calories are derived from more fats and proteins rather than carbs. Carbs are mostly fluff anyways, we really don't need them especially if you're trying to lose weight or eat in a deficit. You're better off having slowly digestive compounds like fats which will keep you more satiated for longer. But you do need that self control after you eat meals like these to not reach for the bag of chips.
Solid review though, I will be checking these meals out.

Mosaic and Everytable are good options if you are in their delivery areas!
If you've have type 2 diabetes these keto meals are perfect. The fatty sauces and calories do not concern me. I think you discourage those with type 2 diabetes from concentrating on low carb and low sugar meals. In my experience, calories and fats are not as critical as sugar and carbs.
Which of these pre cooked meal services is best for type 2 diabetics? Thanks
BistroMD has a specific plan for diabetics. The meals are frozen.

the reason the calories are high because of keto, keto focuses on macronutrients counting instead of calorie count. So cutting carbs and sugar makes your body loose weight without counting calories. The keto allows you to eat carbs only from veggies and 20g of carbs with 0 sugar. high calories doesnt matter because your body is using all those calories right away, there is no storage.
What about preservatives?
The food taste great but the net carbs are really high for my keto lifestyle.

I love how these meals taste but each meal is 600-800 calories with 9-14 net carbs ! Technically they are keto, but they’re Definitely NOT for ppl trying to loose weight on keto.
Super high on carbs 780 per plate? Saturated fat 95%? Healthy Saturated fat per product should be 10% max... don't know what to do

In my opinion this is a good service if your trying to lose weight and improve your healthy living however if you want to just maintain your weight you should probably get something that had a bit more fats than that. I would definitely give it a shot and see with my intermittent fasting will result in.
Unlike Fresh N Lean, Factor offers some meals with over 700 calories making them calorie sufficient for men. Fresh N Lean meals are usually in the 400 to 500 calorie range, insufficient for men.
You didn’t mention sugar content. I noticed all of their low carb meals had quite a bit of sugar. They say their meals contain no refined sugar but 7 grams of sugar in 0ne meal is a lot if you are on keto.
What other meal delivery service do u recommend ?
It depends on what you are looking for, but I also really like Daily Harvest, Freshly, and Splendid Spoon.

Keto is a high fat diet, so the calories are going to be higher with fat. However, you stay fuller longer and in cutting the carbs, should diminish cravings after the meals. So, cream, cheese, olive and coconut oils are supposed to be part of the diet for that very reason.

I did really well using Factor then stopped and gained some weight back, so I signed back up. I think it's the best pre-made meal delivery service by far, and it's organic! :)

Aren't all those premade food considered processed food? I avoided all microwaveable food in order to avoid as much processed food, so even if I go keto, I would probably not go with premade food.
I think most of them would be considered processed to some degree. Although some are more processed than others…
I ordered this and it is very tasty and I like the idea of keto, but there are a lot of presevatives and oils that are not good for you. That is why it is written in small blurry print. I think I will cancel my order.
