Great honest review. It cracks me up there are other interwebbers who say 450s are overpowered shitboxes... then in the next breath talk down on the Beta for not being like the other 450s out there.
@@Natedoc808 yeah, it's funny you mention that. I was listening to a podcast where he said Japan really listens to the magazines. So when the magazines complain about something, the manufacturers really try to fix that. Sometimes I think they complain about stuff, just to have something to complain about. Problem is whoever is on the other end may think it's more of a problem than it really is and screw the bike up trying to fix it the next few years. I think the power is great on the Beta. They should really aim for the rideability. It makes a 450 so much easier and fun.
@ I feel like the Japanese and Austrian bikes are trying it a little bit with factory editions, special racer, etc. compared to their entry level 450, which is great as it helps a true privateer be competitive without needing to drop 50K on an engine and another 20K on suspension and so on. We need the sport to be accessible if it is to survive. Bring back 2 strokes, 250s/lites should be the development class and have a stock and a modified/factory class.
Great video, never seen your stuff before but I was searching for content for FB Beta 450RX where I shared it. You get it more than most testers. Spring for weight, tune the shock HS and it did good for you. The sneaky rideable power is something almost everyone misses, as well as the stability and still good turning. Good luck at the World Vets and keep us posted on updates. Subscribed.
Thank you, I rode practice at glen Helen today. It had no problem going up mt. St Helen at all. Definitely a very smooth, but powerful motor. The more I ride it, the more I like it. Thank you for the sub!
After 15 years on either KTM or Husky I switched to Beta.I’ve had the 2024 RX450 and now the 2025 RX450, fantastic bikes really easy 450 to handle and great quality of components. I prefer the seat and footpegs on the 25 and the fuelling seems better throughout the range. All I did was fit a ribbed seat cover, changed the bars and the grips and it’s a near perfect bike for me..Not a fan on the Maxxis tyres but that’s a personal choice.
@@simonsteadman3276 yeah, I threw pirellis on for the race just because that's what I was familiar with. Only thing I really feel like I need to do is get the valving a little more dialed in for me. I raced it at the vet worlds and it was good and not a big issue on the roughest track I'll probably ever ride on.
@ the 24 forks were valved soft but compliant, the 25 is a lot better but honestly I’d keep the 24 get the mapping sorting which I’m sure the Beta dealer can do for you and like you say it’s good to go.
@@panic-revv85 thank you, and you are 100 percent correct. I had a small window to get ready for the world vet (less than a week) I'm sure I'll have some valving done shortly. I just finished the world vet and got 8th on it with the stock fork valving. It's not bad at all, good enough to race one of the gnarliest tracks there is (glen Helen)
@180mxtraining7 that's badass! If you're into 2 strokes, vintage, modern, and big bore we have an event here it UT at Mt. West MX in June. Ive got a couple of shorts on my channel of their straight rhythm. It's a good time. Bout 9hr or so from SD Cal.
@@panic-revv85 I'll check that out. I love two strokes. I actually wish we never went four stroke, but have to race one to be competitive for the most part. I'll check out your shorts 👍

Great job on this video. Nice explanation.
Looking at getting the 300
you won't be disappointed. I'm never getting rid of mine no matter what else I might buy.
This is interesting

@ yeah, best tire imo!
@ yeah, at glen Helen I noticed the softness. Actually went up a spring rate in between motos.
Good vid, but you should note even when bumping up spring rates it is possible to blow through the valving.

Billy how does the bike feel as far as weight compared to the competition?
@@mikepierce1250 it feels similar to the other bikes. I believe it's middle of the road weight wise.
They come stock with KYB!?
@@puremxtraining yep 💪
Bummer not to mention the sick stock graphics
