    New CV Axle Shaft from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AACV00179
    A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications. This video shows you how to install one in your 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty.
    This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2002 Jeep Liberty
    2003 Jeep Liberty
    2004 Jeep Liberty
    2005 Jeep Liberty
    2006 Jeep Liberty
    2007 Jeep Liberty

    Thank you so much! I'm a single mother of 6. I don't have the money to pay shops so everything that gets done on my vehicles is done by me. I learn as I go. I'm terrified every time I start a big project. Your video is detailed and shows everything well. I also appreciate that you told what size sockets you were using and explained everything so I could make sure I had everything needed before I got started.
    I've watched a lot of repair videos. Yours is by far one of the better ones. You're a blessing!

    Good video, clear and concise.
    I like that you didn't spend `5 minutes telling us what you were going to do.

    TIP!! Break the axle nut free and make sure it spins somewhat freely before you take the brake caliper off otherwise you'll have to find another way to stop the bearing from spinning.

    On my 07 liberty when I try to remove the passenger cv axle, it is pulling the whole axle out of the diff I’m assuming, what is wrong, why won’t the cv just come off?

    Is removing the bearing assembly really required to get the spline out of the knuckle? 1:57 time hack

    I don't see no reason to remove the hub just extra work.

      Yeah, there was no reason to remove the wheel bearing . That does seem like extra.

    Uhh...wazzat "let's go ahead and torque that axle nut to a hundred foot-pounds," or "let's go ahead and torque that axle nut 200 foot-pounds"?

    What do you do if the intermediate axle is stuck in the cvshaft?

  • @backyardbuilttrucks1
    @backyardbuilttrucks1 Рік тому +9

    Not this easy when it is old rusted parts , done a whole frontend rebuild twice on these vehicles , you may have to heat up bolts , and use a real hammer .

    what happens when you can’t just pull the clevis pin right out and trying to tap it out bends the forks apart?

  • @gregoneill1495
    @gregoneill1495 Рік тому

    One more bolt and you could remove the clevis fork, easy to remove the axle that way.

    Removing the bottom portion of the strut(aka the clevis) would have made this so much easier.
