      For a future video, Dell Curry. He was the first player in Hornets history, chosen with the first pick in the expansion draft. First they drafted Rex Chapman to start over Dell, then they drafted Kendall Gill to start over Dell. They traded Gill for Hersey Hawkins, then they brought in Bobby Phills.
      The team decided in the beginning that Dell was a defensive liability and a bench scorer. He was never given an opportunity to start full time in spite of being the longest tenured player in Hornets history at ten seasons.
      In the one season that he got to start he had a career year in scoring while filling in at small forward for half of the year. I'd enjoy your take on his career. I believe that Dell was as good as Reggie Miller, but never got to show it.

    I think people forget basketball is a sport. If you are good enough you can get paid millions to play for professional team. With that comes expectations from not only yourself but others. If you don’t live up to those expectations you can go down to a dark depression place. You can lose your identity

      @@2genders-tk2ue I'm never an apologist for pro athletes but you gotta think about all those hard luck stories of dudes grinding for years after college who finally get a shot, and make it big. They do all the right things, pay their dues and it pays off. Imagine being on the other side of that, being told you're great, having success your whole life only to get to the pinnacle of your craft and find out you're not good enough. Imagine the kind of shame and embarassment that would bring, knowing all the work you put in was for nothing. He’s said on a video that his relationship with everyone is buried because he’s on drugs and doesn’t want to go to a therapist and says he’s fine…which to be fair, in the latest vids he doesn’t seem as bad and cleaned up a little at least. Only thing is he keeps saying he has a kid and no one knows about it…but I’ve seen people on drugs go down a nasty hill that looks exactly like this and it’s usually acid or a hard drug. I live in the same state as him actually a couple hours away. I can totally see him exploring acid when he retired with millions in his hometown. He probably got on a bad trip or couldn’t stop taking it and just lost touch, he talks a lot of yoga and meditation.

    This is sick that you're exploiting a man in his darkest time. I will never watch another video from your channel after this. People saying it's bringing awareness to Kyle's mental health problems you don't need to exploit a man for clicks especially when he can literally see the video himself and is still in a dark place.

    Now, this is something I do see with a lot of Duke players as it relates to the n b a
    Too small to be a four or five
    Too, slow to be a one or two.
    I d c how good you were in college. Very few nba superstars, lack ELITE athleticism.
    So thinking a guy's gonna be in star just because he was in college.It's kinda silly to me

    • @mudphud2b
      @mudphud2b Місяць тому

      Jason Tatum? Grant Hill? There are several current NBA all stars who played for Duke. They just happen to send more players to the NBA than most team. So yes, some of those players won’t do as well. But we have some legit NBA superstars from Duke.

    • @aloominknottyheadtap900
      @aloominknottyheadtap900 Місяць тому

      @mudphud2b No I agree. Duke bb has represented itself well over the last twenty years. However, the guys that you name do not meet any of the criteria l mentioned in my original comment. However, they had a plethora of players that did. A lot of those players we're drafted in the first round, based on what they did at Duke, even though I never thought they'd be NBA all stars. And kyle Singler is one of them.
      A lot of g m s have been making the same mistake for several decades now.
      The quality of basketball player coming into the draft has gone down significantly, also.
