I am the same way when it comes to painting, detail painting is so hard for me. I tend to try and stay away from things I would have to detail paint, but I want to start doing molds so bad lol.

So last month I used a scrap piece of wood to do this with the coffee can bird..it came out just perfect (for once lol) and the image is beautiful but it was just missing something so I never put it in my booth. When I saw this....OMG!!! That's exactly what it needed! I finished it tonight and it's still not going in the booth! I just can't part with it now❤️🍄Ty!!

With the bird on the tea tin project I think the lifting may have been caused by a slight curve in the wood. I’ve had a similar experince

Suggestion if you run out of space in future, if you had a mold with the picture of a book it would have fit. I realize this won’t always be possible.

I love them all Sammie, the book diy is probably my favorite and omg that green color I absolutely love it! I just ordered some waxes from Bri and I’m going to order some DIY paints! Yes more wood diys please!!!!
Paper shrinks when it gets wet. To prevent the shrinking or wrinkles, mist the back of the paper with water first. I started doing it and using liquid patina and my decoupage game is awesome now. I used to get so frustrated and now I absolutely love decoupage. I would never go back to mod Podge except for certain stuff like fabric.
Yes!! Painting helps the clay not crack! I learned that from provincial farmhouse too! 😁
Im so happy you kept going! I was stuck sitting here after I did a huge piece with the new IOD moulds.
I couldn't remember where I was going with it after all the work to do the pieces, attach, and base coat.

I used to love watching you for your budget friendly diys. It’s so frustrating to watch my favorite UA-camr’s all using only chalk couture, iOD transfers, expensive diy paint and all these expensive products. When I literally subscribed to you all bc I could do what you were doing. It still took me two years to get the DOLLAR TREE supplies to do them and just some of the paints and tools. And now they are useless bc nobody uses just THOSE things anymore. I’m not being hateful here I’m frustrated that as soon as any creators on UA-cam under any hobby or genre gets bigger subscribers they start using more and more expensive products. It was that way with the beauty community, planners, diyers etc. I’m starting my own channel and I’m never gonna sell out.
