  • CarPro Lift vs Ethos Foam Party - Battle of snow foams! In this video, I compare two snow foams to determine which one is the best! In one corner, we have the new CarPro Lift. Is has a high pH active surface foaming agent to help lift road grime. In the other corner, we have Ethos Car Care Foam Party, which contains concentrated cleaners to help break down road grime. It’s a pH neutral formula that’s safe for waxes, sealants and coatings. Who will win? Find out by watching the video!

    Watch this satisfying foam cannon car wash on a dirty car video!
    The CarPro Lift pre-wash has a foaming agent that dissolves and lifts away a large amount of dirt and grime in a completely touchless manner. Lift uses alkaline cleaning agents (pH 12), which are strong yet gentle and suitable for use with ceramic coated cars. During the panel dwell period, Lift’s bubbles will burst and move, encouraging soaking and cleansing agents to start working at lifting road grime by binding with its surfactants. 10:1 dilution is recommended.
    The Ethos Foam Party pre-wash foam has an addicting tropical scent. Its lush shaving cream thick suds lift dirt and grime from the surface to enhance your washing process. It’s even safe to use in direct sunlight. Add 2 to 3 oz of snow foam in your foam cannon container, fill it up with water and you’re good to go.
    IMPORTANT: Always adjust your dilution ratios for snow foams according to your setup. Many factors influence the thickness and richness of the foam, including: water quality (soft vs hard water), type of pressure washer, type of foam cannon, type of snow foam and dilution ratio of snow foam.

    Excellent video as always Pan! Foam Party is quickly becoming a fan favorite for its addicting experience and mountains of foam. Our goal was to make a pH neutral soap that was safe on any form of protection, while building the highest foam build with the longest dwell time possible. This enables your contact wash to have the most lubrication possible to reduce the risk of marring or scratching. Its designed to be used with every wash without affecting waxes, sealants or coatings. For those looking for a more heavy duty cleaner for winter clean up, CarPro Lift would be a much better choice!
    Thanks again for the product highlight!

    Snow foam performs better without a pre rinse by allowing the product to cling to the surface in order to soften debris and traffic film. Applying to a wet surface just makes it run off before it even has time to work. It’s all about the high pressure rinsing of the loosened contaminates once it’s had time to dwell.

      With a ceramic coated car the water would sheet off pretty quick, leaving only a small amount of water on the panel. Plus you're mixing it with water through the foam cannon so you're diluting it there. I've tried it both ways and haven't seen where it didn't work one way or the other. It seemed to work on Pan's brothers car from what I could tell.

    Good video, thanks... As for the pre-rinse before snow foam, I just don't get it... I would do a good snow foam loosens dirt and grime and then rinse. Not sure why pre-wash and foam.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  3 роки тому +2

      There are two different schools of thought on that. I like to pre-rinse, foam and rinse. Some go straight to foaming a dry surface, then rinse. What ever works best in your world. But I prefer knocking out what ever loose dirt and debris I can first, then spraying the foam to let it dwell and pickup things that it might had missed should there have been looser stuff on top... That routine works fantastic for me, so I stick with it until someone can prove there is a better method. ;)

  • @rgonza9302
    @rgonza9302 2 роки тому +1

    It comes down to what is the purpose of the prewash and therefore foam. To me, it's to remove as much dirt and grime prior to the contact portion to minimize scratching the surface. Otherwise your spraying foam for the sake of spraying foam and you like the way it looks. The Ethos seems to provide little value other than it looks cool which has become the case with so many snow foams now a days. Foam in of itself is not going to pull too much dirt outside of big loose dirt and sand which you could do by simply spraying the vehicle first. Pan your video clearly shows that Lift did its actual intended job.

    Hi, Pan. I don’t know whether you get to respond on reviews a few months old, but I’ll try anyway.
    First of all, on my last post I commented on how expensive this product is. You responded that in spite of the cost, Reset is a “superior” product. On your recommendation alone, I went ahead and purchased a bottle of 34oz. I actually used it a couple of weeks ago and let me tell you, it is worth every penny. If you are interested in foam, buy other products; if you are interested in a clean car, well reset is the best. Even the drying process is better. No streaks. No water spots. I used a leaf blower and a towel afterwards.
    I noticed when I used the leaf blower to dry the washed car, the water just slid some much easier than when I used other sudsier/foamier products. I like it so much, it will my product of choice.
    Now, if only you could provide a discount code to use when I buy it directly from Carpro. I think I’ll give Carpro Lift a try as well as a prewash. Anyway, my apologies. I should never question the wisdom of the great Pan, the Organizer.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      I wouldn't use Lift every week. Once a month perhaps. And for Descale, only use when needed. Perhaps a few times a year for a more thorough decon, like in my ultimate spring detailing tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/oTaFE_p2OAw/v-deo.html
      For weekly washes, CarPro Reset as a shampoo is the best, and a pH neutral snow foam like Koch Chemie Gsf is all you need.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Bathe+ is meant more as a maintenance soap if your car is already ceramic coated. It does not offer enough long term protection (maybe 2-3 weeks). I would for sure recommend a full ceramic coating application on your car first, and then you maintain that finish with either a silica infused soap (like Bathe+) or silica spray sealant (like Gyeon Cure) once every 2-3 months.

    Hey Pan, would you recommend CarPro lift if my vehicle doesn't have any type of coating, sealant, or wax applied? Or should I go with something that is pH neutral like Adam's Mega foam? Would this be a good protect to use if I plan on applying a sealant, or wax after my wash? • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 роки тому +1

      CarPro Lift is a heavier cleaning pre-wash snow foam, meaning it helps to remove traffic film and grime off ceramic coatings. You could use it as a pre-wash on an uncoated vehicle too. As long as you're not using it on a vehicle protected by a regular wax or sealant, as the higher pH could strip that protection off over time.

    Hi pan I love your videos I've learned an unbelievable amount from you but I'm still wondering about the pH of lift that you say so alkaline that might be bad for sealants. if the dilution is 1to 10 that brings your pH Down from 12 to approximately 7.2 or 7.3 which is a normal pH is not alkaline at all when it's comes out of the foam Cannon. Am I missing something?interested in your thoughts

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Рік тому

      According to CarPro: "Lift uses pH12 alkyl cleaning ingredients". I don't know what the effective pH is once diluted though. But it's safe on coated vehicles (at least vehicles coated with quality coatings like CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0).
      I have been using Lift for a long while now on coated cars for maintenance, and it always works great.
      There's also more to cleaning power than just pH level by the way. Quality of surfactants, emulsifying agents, other ingredients in its chemistry, etc.
      Take CarPro Reset shampoo for example. It's technically pH neutral, yet everyone knows how good it is as a maintenance wash on coated cars to remove road grime and traffic film. CarPro IronX is also pH neutral, becomes slightly acidic when it reacts with iron particles in the exothermic chemical reaction, yet despite it being neutral, it's such an effective iron contamination removal spray.
