Haha, I had to giggle a little bit when you spilled the resin. Isn't that a pain in the neck!? Beautiful work, I'm impressed as to what you did with the car polish. I can't seem to get my resin as smooth as that with polish. I always have to add another layer of resin.
Most people say it’s good to use a heat gun to get the bubbles out of the epoxy before it dries, as is done in bigger tables and such, but as far as the rings go I think the bubbles give it a nice touch.
Ive finally made my own ring using these methods however I’m having a problem getting the resin to be that shinny and clear not entirely sure what i did different. Im still satisfied with my outcome but would still like to improve it.
Man I love love love your channel! You have a 50 year old woman addicted to your art! I would love to have one of the wooden/epoxy rings.. do you take orders? If so, I wanna buy one for myself! You are so talented and one of my favorite you-tubers! Thanks for all your post. Cheers - Tiffiny.
I make a lot of these also I really enjoy finding out exactly what inside looks like as u never really know. U can plan and have ideas but final results is always a surprise. Maybe we should call them surprise rings. lol Happy New Year
Im sry but I had to watch the video 4 times bc the music made me sleep but on my last try with tapes attached to my eyes I was able to finish and appreciate your art. Amazing work
Hola hasta hoy veo tus vídeos estoy sorprendida y feliz pues soy parte de ese mundo y aprendo cada día con las cosas que veo y me asombro de la imaginación del ser humano gracias por enseñarme y al resto del mundo
When first hand sanding (after you've moved on from belt sander) you said you were starting with 220 grit and progressing to 25000 grit, can list of each increments used through your process? Also, at what point (which grit) do you transition to wet sanding? I would really love to hear back from you...this is something I'm planning and really looking forward to doing with my son- and while I've tried many methods (from using homemade silicone molds to hand carving the wood first and then dipping into resin) your video is wonderful and I'm intrigued by your approach. Thanks in advance and keep up the great making!!!🌱
jedrek29t Thanks! The resin is something I've been playing around with for a while now...mini dioramas in teeny bottles, small (altoid like) tins that have precut windows in lid, slicing rings from copper pipe to use as pendants or necklace centerpieces with images and plant matter inside the resin. Thank you for the details on the sandpaper because I get to see a family member (whom I rarely see) this afternoon and have all the supplies packed up to bring so that we can attempt to make several wood and resin projects...I need to make one more stop for belt sanding paper and micro mesh before meeting him and I just found your videos last night. I'm so excited to try your method with the masking tape because our time is limited and (while it's still a multi day project), this will eliminate the need for creating silicone molds first. Thank is for responding- I know now which grits to pick up at the hardware store.🌱
it looks amazing! I'm wondering how sturdy it is tho, especially at the bottom. Getting married soon and i'm seriously considering this as wedding rings...
The best thing about this is that it doesnt seem fucking undoable line 90% of youtube tutorials regarding crafting things from wold where they use machines that u almost certainly dont have at home.
Hello! Nice video! I really liked your work. Can you suggest basic tools/ equipment required for trimming and shaping up wood and resin? Thanks. Keep up the good work
I don't know, how did you solve the problem of the bubbles inside the wood? did you treat the wood before pouring the resin? Any help is more than welcome!
@@jedrek29t Hello, thanks for your reply, Yes I see some little bubbles, is there another way to seal the wood without a vacuum chamber? any help is more than welcome!

Hi, I would like to try to make one of this, but I am not quite sure what's the tool you use in 6:26, what's its name? Is there any other alternative if I don't have one?
Heyy man I have a couple of questions. I am an 20 year old student from the Netherlands that loves making rings. I now want to go a little more professional and I want to work with those epic resins! Do you have any thoughts about the equipment I could use the best? I really don't have anything myself but I want to buy some gear. Keep up the amazing work and thanks for inspiring me! Kind regards Thomas
Nice effect with the paint and the resin, but the wood part is not very thick and probably rather fragile. Also, if the wood is oak then it requires some sort of protective finish; it won't remain nicely polished like the resin.
jedrek29t not sure where you are located but Amazon has some search vacuum pots for casting they range in price depending on size so if you cast small stuff ( like most your epic videos) you can get away with a small one. Harbor freight I have heard carries them but I have yet to look. Either way the secret wood turned out amazing and you boosted my butt up to go make one earlier.
I keep admiring how you put all the pieces together to make it a beautiful art ; Incredible . !! Yes my man !! Thanks for sharing .
Nice to hear that. Also thank you
Wow a mountain in a ring, incredible!
The perfection of the landscape you created is encapsulated within the beauty of this ring. !!!! amazing !!!! 👍👍❣️
