  • My latest acquisition is my new old rare ho scale MTH New York Central Mohawk. The train I put together in this video is a recreation of the NYC passenger train #17 the Wolverine that ran from New York to Chicago. Want to give a big thanks to the Prairie Scale Model Railroad club for letting me use their layout to run the train on. Also running is a brass Mohawk pulling a freight train. ‪@prairiescalemodelrailroaders‬

Mohawks have to be my favorite Steamer of the NYC.

One of my favorites of all time and it seems constantly outshined by the Hudsons.
    Great video!

It's a true shame that Mth electric trains went out of business back in 2021, I really would like to own an ho scale NYC "mohawk" type locomotive as these are among my favorite NYC rr classes of steam power.

Yeah. They made some incredible models that were only available in brass. I had a great relationship with them and was good friends with one of the folks named Andy. Keep your eyes out on eBay! That's where I got mine. They pop up once in a while.

@TWIGYBNSF MTH's HO tooling went to ScaleTrains. Their O-gauge operation is still going under the direction of the chief officers below Mike Wolf. In fact, within the last week or so they announced a tooling-sharing agreement with AtlasO, who purchased a chunk of their more modern tooling. The first result of this is premier passenger cars to go with the premier steam locomotives still in MTH's ownership (for 2023 this will be a SP daylight set).
