It's been since a while since we did a home tour here in this "FRENCH FARMHOUSE"
....and with all the progress we've made I thought a Spring Farmhouse Tour 2019 was in order!
This Farmhouse Tour 2019 will feature simple spring decor ideas. I'm not one for running out in desperation as the snow is melting for egg wreaths and bunting from Target.

What I love about French decor is they embrace pieces that show wear and age and are far from perfect. The pieces add so much life to a home.

I too lost my mom in 2011 Karen. And we both know that nothing can fill that void. May I just add that what helps me is 2 engage in something that we BOTH loved dearly. I have turned the greenspaces around my home into an urban oasis. And it didn't happen overnight. Believe it or not I started when my baby brother passed a few years ago. What I have now cannot be expressed in a few lines. It literally takes my breath away. Hydrangeas, peonies, yarrow. The list goes on.
I am only sharing this 2 say that 1) she is with u EVERY single day every step of the way. U just can't see her. And 2) doing something that the 2 of u enjoyed rather singular or together is a mindful way 2 keep her close. Peace and love.
karen catalano I also lost my momma 18 years ago in March 2001. She was 57 years old. It’s such a treasure to have our mommas. I always feel like she’s with me by my side. I miss her talks and hugs. Such a joy. Forever missed. From my heart to yours. ♥️♥️

I’m a Londoner but moved to a Victorian farmhouse in Norfolk 5 years ago. I love mixing old English and French items but still far from finished. I’m lucky as the French coast is 30 minutes from London by train but about 90 minutes to Paris. I came across your website by chance and so glad I did. You are doing a fabulous job.

Enchante! I'm a new subscriber, you remind me of me when I had young children at home with a dozen projects going on at once! I'm sure your mom loved being part of it, she is lovely, I can see where you get your love of thrifting and homemaking. I had a wonderful mother in law who taught me the value of antique cloth napkins, flea marketing, a simple meal made special by the table setting and candles, creating a sacred space. It gives me hope that we are not losing the "feminine touch", the keepers of the hearth and home, it is often undervalued in our society. I have to admit, the bloopers at the end made me smile...I know you are creating a somewhat "perfect home", for a UA-cam followers, but it was a nice surprise at the end, it made me fall in love with your French Farmhouse Family.
Loved that your mom didn't make it down the driveway before the hugs began. Loved the pussywillows. My dad cut them every year for my mom. I live in ME now but grew up in Door Co. and suspect the blue flowers may be mayflowers (Hepatica). If those are growing the trout lily and trilliums can't be so very far behind. So many memories. Thank you.

Me too. If I see one more house in blush, pink, grey, white, black and/or green or gold for a pop of color...I will scream. It is not Scandinavia everywhere. I think homes need personal touches and not home goods or a store like that all over

When I was a little kid we would get transfer ware at the A&P...my grandmother had a whole set twice over. I don't have any of that. Although I do have some wonderful things. But yours reminds me of her and our treks to the A&P.

It was so sweet to see your children waving and telling your Momma hi , but when your jumped up to hug her i cried ! My Mom and Dad have passed now but i think of them everyday . My parents had big beautiful lovely gardens and i know thats why i garden . It takes me back to that special oh so special place as a child that i enjoyed seeing food grow and learned so very much from them.Thank you for being nurturing parents and enjoy being a daughter as much and as often as you can !

I've been waiting for this all week and it was well worth the wait! I felt like I was watching a movie I didn't want to end. Your home is gorgeous Angie. I am assuming your mother was into thrifting as you were growing up and had the same taste in decor as you? You look like your mother very much. Your decor and your love for gardening, and your cooking and baking skills has inspired me so much. Can't wait until the next episode. Is ther a video you've done that talks about your connection with France. It would be so interesting for me.
Gail Ann mom was always a big decorator but the Euro influence is my own. She was an amazing “country” decorator when I was young. The best primaries. French and England were more my style after traveling though.
Mom has always been Into antiques. She, like I, was raised in them. She refinished her first dresser in junior high.
