He beat Nicky once while roided out of his mind for the Galvao super fight, then it was razor thin the second time, this third time would be the one where it would seem like he would lose and its 1 million on the line. It’s the expected response from Gordon. A ton of stipulations with a trap door to back out of the match. Eventually what’s going to happen with Gordon is “what have you done lately”. I will all but garuntee he won’t compete against Kaynan Duarte. He’s going to keep riding this train of beating guys we know he can’t loose against.
Gordon is definitely an arrogant prick. However he is undeniably the best grappler on the planet and until Nicky can beat him, Nicky can't claim that title. While I agree no time limit is very long I say meet in the middle, a 30 min match. In all sports the guy at the top has to be knocked down by the challenger not the guy at the top going to down to meet him. Gordon had to win absolute to fight Galvao. Galvao picked the rules and did not fight Gordon anywhere else because he was the super fight champion. And also wouldn’t we want a clear win? CJI has brought a new game to Jiu Jitsu. I watched both of the entirety of CJI and ADCC.. I was way more entertained by CJI than ADCC.. I don't think it will ever change unless ADCC goes to a " pit style" mat rather than flat mats with the possibility of going out of bounds. If they compete in a CJI style match, it will be phenomenal. Unfortunately I don't think Gordon will commit to anything that Craig and B- Team come up with so I'm skeptical that this match will ever happen. Fingers crossed but I'm I highly doubt this match will ever happen

Nicky has improved significantly since his last match with Gordon. And Nicky did pretty good against Gordon in the last match as well. Gordon, on the other hand, has had significant health issues and might not be the best at the moment considering both of these factors. That’s why I think a rematch makes sense: to see who is the best now.
I think New Wave guys will do CJI if it doesn’t compete with ADCC and it will cause conflict in New Wave mostly cause Gordon. Danaher does not care. I firmly believe Giancarlo was close to jumping in CJI but got a nice appearance bonus for ADCC instead. He even said on a live stream he was undecided.
Nicky Rod vs Gordon would be a good match. Gordon has already beat him I think 4 times. Nicky trying to be slick and put it on B-Team's channel. That match would be a constant money maker for them, not so sure Gordon would do it, it comes across as to much of a slanted platform, it would have to happen on a more neutral ground. Meaning both Gordon and Nicky Rod would have rights to the footage (good luck trying to get that worked out). The drama between B-Team and New Wave is just downright nauseating. I understand that it will probably never stop but it's driven me to unfollow everyone on B-Team and New Wave. At this point it's also become a good monetary driver, keep talking about it and it will peak interest, drive views to the video, etc... It will be interesting to see how all of this unfolds in the future and what happens with ADCC, CJI and if any other JJ promotions increase their athlete prize purses. Well, the rumor is that Gordon Ryan helped his now wife SA his brother when nicky was 14... I hope that isn't the reason, but it is 100 percent confired that the reason the team split is because of a personal conflict between Gordon Ryan and Nicky Ryan and half the team went with Nicky.
Gordon is an interesting individual. He is the best and worst thing for BJJ at the same time. It's incredible that someone can have such a skillset but be such a shitty person in general. Maybe he does a lot behind the scenes, but from the outside looking in, Craig is using his star power for good across the word while Gordon sells shitty sandals and complains about liberals on Instagram lol.
