  • Manchester City beat Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night to move within one win of a fourth straight Premier League title. Pep Guardiola deployed a tactical 4-2-3-1 formation and Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham sat in a 4-4-2 posture. None of the teams really dominated the first half, but City had a number of opportunities, drawing a couple of good saves from Guglielmo Vicario in the process, but the game was level as both teams went in for the break. In the second half Erling Haaland scored two goals to seal the deal. Stefan Ortega who was substituted on for the injured Ederson made a late save to keep City’s title hopes alive. Doku was also subbed on and a foul on him by Pedro Porro gave City a stoppage time penalty, which Haaland scored by shooting in the top left corner.
In this video we take a tactical look at Pep Guardiola’s attack tactics vs Ange Postecoglou’s tactics.
