The right side of Barça's attack is sorted & primed for the high intensity Flick wants to implement.
Raphinha, Gavi, Araujo will ease Cancelo's defensive shortcomings & Cancelo eases Raphinha's 1v1

Barca shouldn't damage its right to strengthen its weaker left side. If Barça sell Raphinha, the depth in left footed RWs Barça have suffers.
Barça has a habit of wanting to sign players that can play multiple positions i.e. Silva, Williams, Simmons & Olmo. Instead of a player that specializes in the specific position Barça needs i.e. Diaz.
Then Barça is shocked when they don't play as well out of their main position or get injured covering & rotating for the depth they sold.
Rather than having 2 RWs split mins for 1 position, Barca would be adding more mins to the LW or AM that plays both, on top of the mins they'll play in their main position.
Barça's better off signing Luis Diaz to play solely at LW & Joao Felix can cover, rotate & split mins with not just Diaz at LW but also Fermin as an AMF/SS, Pedri as a CAM & Lewandowski as a F9.
Which is also why there's no need to loan Simmons or sign Olmo. Same goes for Kimmich, Barça has De Jong & is better off signing Zubimendi.
As Zubimendi has a €50m buyout clause, is 25 as opposed to 29, is familiar with La Liga & most importantly can continue to build chemistry with Pedri & Gavi while playing for Spain.
Especially when Barça can sell the following:

I am just glad Araujo's exit is becoming less likely.
Imagine selling possibly your best player in their respective position right when he is reaching his peak years.
We needed to support him after the Paris game, instead everyone in the team shunned him. He is not perfect, but heck if he isn't already a club legend simply for when he showed up and how he performed.
I hope Hansi brings a positive change.
Araujo is extremely talented but his decision making has been very poor. His global reputation came from shutting down vini jr. unfortunately he just fouled vini a bunch and the referees let him get away with it.
Barca best defender right now I think if they get a right back and let kunde play alongside him they're going to be great just look at how they where playing before they put kunde at right back and both of them have speed to cover for eachother how many seasons have we suffered because we don't have any CB with speed now we have 2 young and talented players that we can count up on to put in the work

He is a very good defender and came through for us in tough times. He gave leadership when it was needed the most despite being a young player with a lot to learn. He needs a coach who will nature him into the Barca hall of fame and one of the world's best defenders. No player is perfect, we applaud promising players ready to receive guidance to be world class, and that's what Araujo has.
One thing I'm sure of next season's expectations on Barca is intensity and attacking football. There will be a lot of competition around the squad which will be a great thing for the club

If you want to catch a glimpse of what Pedri can do, go and watch the first half of Barca vs Bayern champions league last season. Pedri’s prowess will be revealed when he is fully fit with consistent season without injury.
The reason why so many coaches are offering themselves to Barca is because of the potential talent in the team and that was the Bane of Xavi, because he couldn’t achieve much with this squad.

Ter Stegen-Balde, Kounde/Cubarsi/Christensen, Araujo, A great right back we manage to sign, maybe Arnau-Kimmich, Frenkie-whatever left winger we sign, hopefully Nico, Pedri, Yamal-Lewandowski. Then off course Gündo, Gavi, Roque and Raphinha can also be players we can use to rotate the squad which will lead to less injuries

Just a point to note that when everyone think of Flick they automatically think about Bayern’s buffed up squad. But actually it was their physical trainer that time who responsible for that change as he utilised the covid lockdown period to increase the muscle volume of certain players to reduce the injury possibility. Julio is a great physical trainer but i don’t think he’s gonna make our players get bulk like that. Just to keep in mind

I really like Flick’s seriousness and his hard working ethic. Not that Xavi lacked any of these attributes, in fact he had all of these but the experience part was what brought doubts. Flick has done it all, seen it all and coming from outside could evade a lot of the problems that Xavi had. I’m still a Xavi guy but we gotta stand with the coach, just like we did with Setien, Koeman, Xavi, it doesn’t matter , we can’t be divided

Barcelona can contain Mbappé, we've seen that already. Madrid (no matter the age), has always been at odds with us. And with Flick, there is that chance competitiveness will be high again.

Im not surprised by those choices because they were all linked to moves to Bayern in 2020 when flick was still the bayern coach and apparently Flick sees Pedri as someone with similar characteristics to Thomas Müller

Hopefully Flick can bring joy in the boys game. I felt a dark cloud over the head of this team for the last couple of years in spite of some results. A winning, positive attitude is desperately needed. Hopes he unlock the creativity from these raw talents.
Flick needs to take his time, not pressure himself like every other coach has at barca before him. As a fan I don't expect a la liga trophy, a champions league trophy his first season in charge. As a fan I expect flick to bring out the best of the young talent. We have to accept that there are no funds to bring in top players, but if he can make monsters of Masia talent and the talent that's already in the squad IT would be fantastic. If he can establish his philosophy early on, I feel barca would be in good hands.👌

I could honestly see Frenkie and Pedri in a double pivot. Pedri being the Kimmich equivalent, and Frenkie being the Goretzka equivalent.
I wouldn't have said this before, but given that he wants both Frenkie and Pedri to be his cornerstones in midfield, perhaps this is what he's thinking. Fermin or Gundogan could fit nicely playing ahead of them as well.
Araujo doesn't have the mental fortitude and intelligence to become a top player. I hope we sell him for good money while we still can. A year from now it will be too late.

I think that your two points about pesto can be combined since his injuries and lack of continuity may have affected his performances. That season where we overran him was his best and I think if he avoids injuries then we can get more from him and like you said he can definitely be a world beater

I'm happy Flick has identified one of the weakest points - PHYSICALITY. In last season, you can see we seems to be collapsing close the end of games which indicates that our tenacity and physicality was weak. When we met teams like Seville, ATM, you could see we were bullied physically. This, on the contrary was the opposite of Madrid. They won close to the end of 90 minutes than in the beginning, especially in ucl games. We really need this if we are to be fit for the purpose

One of the reason why we did not receive any trophies this season, it is because of individual mistakes. Looking back at Yamal not taking those two chances against Athletic club cause us the copa final. Also individual mistakes against PSG. And also decision gone against us with Var.

I'm not a De Jong fan, is he a defensive midfielder or an attacking midfielder, he needs to decide, if he's a DM he needs to work on anchoring the midfielder alone like players Rice, Rodri, Kimmich, Zubimendi etc. in that position instead needing cover thereby reducing our overload in the opposition box.
I still haven't forgiven Araujo for his foolishness against PSG. Then for me Gundogan should be made captain.
