      @@adambee9975 I understand but taking a stand like that you're immediately undermining the manager & thus destroying team spirit & any chance of success (which is what happened). He should have spoken privately to him & if it repeats over & over then take a stand. It smacks of arrogance & ego as well which his off field antics have proven is indeed the case. I.e. his online spats with Rio.

      JT speaks about this on Simon Jordan’s podcast as well. Either way it’s not a good look for him nor the old guard at the time. Feels like they’d made up their mind about AVB before he’d even got started and AVB was always gonna lose

    AVB has recently been apointed as the President of FC Porto .. so even if he failed at Chelsea didnt really affect him longterm

      Nonsense. He was cleaning Dennis Wise's boots every week as an academy player, and went on to become a legend of the game only to see kids getting pampered while the seniors were treated poorly. He was spot on.

    Nothing to do with JT and his ego, it's about respect - this is how it works in football. McEchran & Chalobah subsequently failed at Chelsea, they hadn't earned the seat in first class

      You just don't get it. Terry was cleaning Dennis Wise's boots every week as a youth, and then when he's a legend of the game gets dumped in economy while pampered youths went first class. The point went right over your head.
