friends, I have an update to the saga of comments I’ve left on Hannah’s previous videos: I’ve gotten into grad school! I’m going to be getting my PhD in political science starting this fall🥺🥺y’all are the best and this community is amazing
I weirdly love when someone as delightfully loquacious as Hannah shifts mid-video and gives a blunt one sentence summary judgement. (I love the videos but let’s face it, this is also a comment to feed the algorithm demons).
Thank you for the review! I was mulling the reason for the cost of this makeup. I’ve noticed that slow fashion and jewelry brands, even truly organic foods, tend to cost much more. Their prices are derived from actually paying their suppliers an ethical remuneration for their contributions to their product. Fast brands take terrible advantage of their suppliers, barely paying them at all, while demanding an equally terrible use of resources, which carelessly damage the environments those suppliers live in. I’m excited to explore this brand Thank you for the review!
Having worked in production atmospheres, you are paying for the virtue signaling not the actual product. They mark it up quite significantly to the consumer for their own bottom line and no other real reason.
I love love love the All Over Colors. I have several, and each is unique and special. What I don’t love, aside from the hefty price tag, is the 6 month shelf life. I’d rather have less product for a lower price, knowing it should be replaced so soon after opening.
I have a bunch of them bought together one year ago, no worries, I don’t feel any change in texture, smell or skin reaction. I’m going to buy new colours but I’m not putting this ones in the garbage. I just love them and being a minimalist in all my choices you can imagine I just use them and a mix of this skin white enhancer and the one for medium dark tones, I can give dimension without the contouring effect that I hate.
I love Manasi 7 and have most of their products in almost all the colors. I find that the eye color formula becomes better as the product ages. It does still crease, but you're able to layer it more because the product becomes more sticky. I've been mostly putting it on my mobile lid and getting quite a smoky eye with it, and as long as I'm staying away from the crease, it's all good. But I agree, a lot of it has to do with your eye shape, what primer you wear, and how oily your lids are. The other eye colors are very unique like Jardin or Ochaya and they're worth a try if you want to wear them more like smoked out eyeliner. Great review!
I think I remember Pixiwoo using that brand too as well as lots of other interesting unknown makeup brands I never hear of anywhere else. Pity they deleted all of their videos
@@binkao2938 Nic's back on UA-cam (the channel is under her name now), but I think most of Sam's videos that were there are still either private or deleted. It was Sam who did a full Ellis Faas video. I also remember Chloe Morello doing one, too.

I remember the brand launching-and being so fascinated by Ellis Faas's inspirations for the colors, like blood and bruises, but not being able to afford them lol. Can't be bothered to look it up, but I think it was about 2008.
I appreciate that Hannah continues to be extremely up front about the business of UA-cam beauty. That statement about the channel budget helps me resist immediately opening up a new shopping tab.
This was so intriguing, thank you! I’d love to see a review from you of the grand Alora, specifically the concealer brush. The owner is a Mexican woman, she has these amazing videos where she shows how she uses that brush to create incredible brows and I’m obsessed.
Reading the ingredient list, I am reminded of the Olio e Osso balms which went rancid so quickly. The only times I've had products go bad on me (lip balms, blush, shampoo/conditioner), they've all been "clean beauty" products. Over this trend.
100% agree, I’m scared of “clean beauty”, cause I get rashes from a product “going bad” (I can’t even tell if it went bad, I just get reaction from a face product that I almost used up, so it probably got some bacteria growth in it)
I'm glad you're reviewing this brand! I did first hear about this on UA-cam a couple years ago and I bought a few things myself and they turned faster than any other makeup products I've ever bought in my life... So... Never again.
what an intriguing brand! i must say i am baffled by only 4 shades of complextion product, one of white is white? Its especiially odd in comparison to the 20+ shades of blush/lip color. I feel like Im missing something?
Lexi Jong is the only other person I’ve seen who reviewed this brand. I bought it at a store in the Berkshires after playing with the testers and I love the lip and cheek colors in particular. I mean a LOT. They are so well balanced as far as the formula is concerned, that have longevity where a lot of cream cheek products just disappear on me. The eye product I’ve tried is beautiful in theory but is a dud for me because it weirdly evaporates off of my eyes no matter how grippy the primer. And the highlighters are nice but not groundbreaking for me.
I realized recently I go through lip gloss really fast (like a tube a month) and that is alot of plastic so I was looking for a more sustainable lipgloss solution and couldn't really find anything except Izzy or yourizzy (idk the branding seems inconsistent). They will send you a tube of makeup and you can send it back and they will refill that tube. IDK it seemed kinda strange and expensive and there wasn't alot of info/ reviews of it I could find. If anyone knows about this let me know or if you have environmentally friendly lipgloss Ideas I love to hear them! (I'd be interested in a review of the brand Izzy too.)
I know this is from a while ago but try TKB trading! They sell stable cosmetic base formulas like lipgloss and lipstick, along with micas and pigments meant to be mixed in. It would be a bit of diy-ing but you could make your own glosses to refill your empty tubes. Of course there's still plastic waste from the refill packaging, but hopefully less than there would be from just buying a new gloss! 🌈✨
Been waiting for this video! I'm having such difficulty picking between the colors Sisserou and Duras. Duras feels so spring appropriate, but Sisserou is such a unique color. I tried mixing most of my blushes with Intuition from Rituel de Fille - a cool grey contour shade, and they all looked instantly more at home and healthy on my skin! Everything pink wants to turn orange. Being olive is a trip.
Half of me loves the thought of mixing process for foundations to use as the art supply type of approach, another part of me feels like getting two pots of products that total 100 dollars or so, that you need to mix to get a shade that’s even a smidge close to your own seems, frustrating. What do y’all think?
Buying 2 pots with a very short shelf life does not seem to be a good idea to me. I will rather wait for the Jones Road WTF because one day they will be shipping to Germany. Hopefully.
Love the thorough review and this look on you. I don’t know what it looks like on you in person, but it feels very similar to the Merit colors on camera. Agree that their brand makes these products look so seductive! So helpful to get your review of the eye glow - that product is a big no for me. The lip/cheek looks amazing. Wish your budget allowed for a more in depth exploration of the other colors! Also just want to say this redhead ❤ the tiny bit of gray in your hair. Gorgeous Queen!
loved this review!! i started using Manasi7 products this past year. your thoughts on the Eye Colors and your tips on the Skin Enhancer were so helpful; i couldn’t figure out why they felt so finicky to work with. and 100%, the All Over Colors are the stand-out product, not least of which because of their truly stunning and yet somehow still super versatile color range. i actually love using the more neutral All Over Colors on my eyes. they hit that elusive sweet spot between matte and shimmer cream shadows that i prefer: neither flat nor shimmery, yet brightening and just shy of glossy. they are definitely not indelible, but i find that the colors layer and blend so well, and over the day they wear surprisingly beautifully.
This is a really beautiful natural look- I’m impressed with the skin like finish of the complexion products. I love the reviews of lesser known brands. As a result of your Ellis Faas review, I’ve become a big fan of the Ellis Faas eyeshadows, which I find very kind to crepey eyelids, and the lips products are unique colors as well and I have enjoyed them. Definitely thinking about trying this brand!
Would be interested to see the "All Over Color" compared to the Phytosurgence blushes, like Condensate....I'm intrigued most by the highlighter. Wondering if the eye shadow would work better if set with a powder shadow. That's how I usually end up using cream products that don't work with my hooded eyes.
I have Jardin which is their cool toned brown. I use it in my eyebrows and hairline with zero issues. While it looks lovely on the eyes it simply doesn't last more than 4 hours for me and it's sliding everywhere. I agree that the skin tints are a bit narrow in their range. I am also super surprised they don't have a straight up black.
@@virginiav.1172 Except that it is. The most common form of biological melanin is eumelanin, a brown to black polymer of dihydroxyindole carboxylic acids.
These precious pots of eyeshadow from clean brands drive me nuts. The likes of ritual de fille and the old RMS ones were the ones recommended to me during my “clean beauty era” circa 2018. They are a joke! Just creasy, oily, frustrating non-eyeshadow. Disappears after 2 hours, sinks into the crease, heavy on the eye. Gaaaah my frustrated 2018 self is triggered!
So glad to get your thoughts on this grand! I have actually had my eyes on them for a while-an indie boutique in my city (Philly) carries it, and an eco/green beauty UA-camr @lamouretlamusique has mentioned it a lot.
Thanks for the review, it makes me want to try the pigments. I used the lyster bronzer for years, and now went to buy it after this review and it seems now it is called Roseate. It really was an amazing product, I have light skin with neutral olive undertones and it was actually the only bronzer I liked because it gave me a really realistic glowy transparent sunkissed look, rose toned to reddish without any orange traces whatsoever. Definitely coming back to it, thanks for reminding me of Manasi!
Untinted mineral sunscreen has the effect on my skin that the white haus labs and this base color do. I figure I ought to try what you are doing, with green corrector mixed in, to see if I can get a closer match. But this entire line is an absolute no-go for me, due to castor oil being a primary ingredient. Hard pass. Glad you found some hits though, HLP. Thanks for reviewing the line.
Great review! I’m from stockholm Sweden, love makeup and did not know this brand. Pretty sure I’m the target in some shape or form. 😅 I think with the short shelf life + small batches they make + hefty price tag they could do a better balance or finding the sweet spot of doing less product per package/sell more quantities/without diluting the brand and premium image. I think it’s much smarter to sit just under the Tom ford and Chanel as they are much more of a contemporary brand I think it would make more sense.
I've been really enjoying Manasi 7. Powdering the crease a bit after applying the Eye Glow (or any type of emollient eye shadow) ) will help with creasing and longevity. I use the All Over Color pots as eye shadow as well, they don't last long on the eyes but they're so pretty! Rephr brush #27 or #15 work great for crease powdering. :)
I recently stumbled across Manasi eyeshadows and fell in love with the color Sublime but unfortunately only on the picture, because in real life it more dark which I didn’t like.
I actually had the same brightening experience using the Mirenesse mint green primer (which is quite light) mixed with whatever foundation I was using - it gave my skin back its' light from within sorta feel, rather than the sligthly masky and always a bit off look that any standard foundation colour will give my face.
I loved the og Ellias Faas video! its accessible in australia and I loved learning about the ethos of the artist. I got Ellias Red and its my fav red lip
I love Manasi7!! But so far this is the second video on YT I've EVER seen about them. I use the white Skin Enhancer nearly daily for mixing, as most foundations are too dark for my skin tone. The All Over Colour Manketti is the perfect murky brown for contouring my neutral fair skin! (Wink wink I think you'd like it!)
I love listening to you discuss makeup but I don't always have something I desperately need to share in the comments. Still, I shall do my part to feed the youtube gods by leaving one anyway
The imagery is beautiful, and I'm happy people enjoy the products, but the whole "clean beauty"/greenwashing marketing thing honestly just feels a little gross to me. I LOVE the idea of slow beauty, but after poking around on the site, I couldn't help but roll my eyes at a lot of the claims they make. I don't know.. To me, the realities of "clean beauty" and "slow beauty" seem like they contradict each other when you consider that "clean" beauty products go bad much faster and have to be replaced more often. 🤷🏻♀️ The slow beauty idea I can definitely get down with, though! I understand that for most brands it won't be much more than marketing, but I still like the concept and the reminder toward mindful consumption. 😊🌻
I feel like I comment the same comment every time I comment, but I just appreciate how much you put into your videos. I am disappointed the eye shadow didn't work out. But I am going to check out the brand because it is intriguing.
Hannah! I think you would love the brand Ere Perez. A lot of their products are comparable the ones you've listed and they are also a very intentional clean beauty brand :)
Thank you for this review. I like many of their all over color product shades online, they look different from the majority of blushes' colors on the market (as Chamoisee, Sisserou, Manketti). But i always have a fear of being disappointed by the color IRL. I ordered their bronzelighter in Roseate, a greyish rose... It is described as having "not a hint of orange" by the brand. It is straight copper on my skin, not the gorgeous colour i saw online.... A bit decieving. Manketti, which is a kind of beige, looks warmer as well. Maybe a bad batch or products were too old...
Thanks for this! So crazy about the eyeshadow - ESPECIALLY because the website doesn't advertise the colors like that. Is it possible you got an expired / off product? Something like what happened to you with the Kjaer Weiss blushes?
Eco or “slow beauty” eye products are just really hard to find that come close to replicating the experience of traditional eyeshadows! If anyone is curious, Gressa makes a much better cream shadow imho with a similar attention to ingredients and sustainability.
♥ Thank you for the eye cream shadow save, i.e. I ain't buying it~~ I wanted to want it, I do want it, but not if it behaves the way it does, I don't want that ~~ I already possess what I want to want in that arena, that behaves the way I want it to. Preposition. 🙃 P.S. I have adored Ellis Faas for years, wish the brand got more you tube press, but probably doesn't translate to views ~~ thank you, once again Hannah, for jumping out of that you tube box ~~ part of why you are adored by many.
I'm curious how the cream color products compare to Rituel de Fille: the brand vibes seem very different, but the little containers of intriguing colored creams feels similar.
i’m crying- why are western brands making tone up creams $50 😭 check out korean brands, they’re at most like $20. the one i’m using rn is from naming and it’s around $18. there’s a green one, but my skin is cool so i use the pink.
American cosmetics have historically not focused on skincare benefits, not focused on sustainability, not focused on good ingredients, and now that American consumers are becoming more educated about the things they want to buy, all of these aspects are "trendy" and companies are foaming at the mouth trying to rebrand and market themselves in these ways. And, naturally, these companies want consumers to pay big $$$$ for being "better" than what you usually get. From what I know about Korean and Japanese cosmetics, at least the skin care benefits and skin health have been core tenets for some time, so it's much harder to overcharge the customer base for these things. We know it's not new and we know it doesn't cost $50 just because it's not utter garbage. I'm not gonna comment on sustainability in Asian beauty because I have no idea about that, but there are innovative and beneficial ingredients being used, at least. The brand in this video seems like a small European(?) indie brand, so not everything I said applies, but the idea of charging exorbitant prices for ~*"clean"*~ beauty is very 2020s American consumerism. They're basically selling less complex products without preservatives and calling it innovative when it's literally the opposite.
@@juliaswistara i can say, at least in japan, the health/safety regulations are a lot stricter compared to america. i would assume it’s the same for beauty products, but i’ve never really looked into it. since japan is small, there isn’t really a need for a lot of preservatives, like we don’t rly have grocery stores lmao- all produce is bought straight from the market. i’ve noticed in america the norm is to buy a ton of groceries all at once every month or so, but in japan it’s more common to get produce everyday or every other day, depending on how often you cook. going back and forth my whole life made me realize how drastically different the quality of life is. i was like “damn why would you want to come here” to my parents and they said for us (my siblings and i). it’s a lot easier to get rich in america but it’s also a lot easier to be poor.
How exciting! The only person I've heard talk about this video is Matilda on Video, however, these prices are not in my tax bracket lol. But a thorough review from HLP, yes please! Update: I didn't even realize you had on eye shadow 🙃 a tragic product all around because that cool rockstar eye look can be done so much easier, look better, and be less expensive
This soft look is stunning and I'm here for this clean, approachable makeup, but why plastic??? The boxes are lovely but there is nothing luxurious to me in plastic packaging for those prices. I'm a suckered so I may buy anyway but that puts me on the fence.
@@HannahLouisePoston thanks! I still recall the Ellis Faas (sp?) lipsticks from that video! I love learning about new brands from you. Like Monika Blounder for instance or Phytosurgence.
sorry, I know it's your personal choice and you plan on growing them out, but I looove the bangs. I am mesmerized whenever they are down lol. you inspired me to cut bangs myself and I haven't looked back
I have a product similar to this EYE GLOW COLOUR - it's Surrat lid lacquer in Hadaka. The thing that I understood about products like it is that they look good only in light colours. The Surrat one creases and doesn't set too. But it's in a colour that is very similar to a skin tone. After it creases at first, the part of pigment goes away as you try to spread it on the lid again and it leaves a beautiful sheen with a hint of pigment. Really love it for fast makeup. So maybe this Eye Glow one would look better in a lighter colour too? Or maybe it would look better if you use less, not trying to get any opacity but looking only for a hint of colour with a sheen?
so maybe this eye product works better for lips or cheeks? i even thought at some point you were about to try it (colorwise a bit odd of course, but to experiment with it texture wise)
I wonder if it would sit better with an oil based primer underneath too 🤔 Are there even oil based primers for the lids? I have no idea as I haven’t really used eyeshadow since I was like 20
I love your channel, I purchased this whole line from Goop during covid and it cost me over $400 it’s crap is great selling packaging. Glad you like it though. I just feel like it was marketing. RMS did this same thing right. That’s just my opinion. The eyeshadow pallet was pure charcoal powder mixed with coco powder. I fell for the clean beauty vibe Goop sold me. 😅
Hi Hannah, I've been very intrigued about the All Over Color since I watched your review yesterday. Particularly the shade range I find super appealing. However, I've had my eye lately in the Armani neo nude cream blushes, and now I'm not sure what to pick. Between those two formulas, which one do you prefer?
Their powder is the best in the business - and I’ve used it for years and probably will have it forever 😂. Now that I’m seeing your review, I want to buy all their other products as well …
I can’t believe this brand is from my country! I’ve been eyeing a specific product for a while now and wondering how I’m gonna get my hands on it without spending lots of money on shipping 🤣 For some reason I thought it was French
Oh wow the eye glow in Sublime is the product I’ve been wanting! I’m excited that was one of the products tested! The creasy glossy gunky messy look is the one I’m after 🙈
Imagine going to an expensive restaurant and ordering a delicious, expensive meal only to have the chef come tell you, you have to make it yourself!! No thank you, sir!! The fact that they have the ability to create more shades but choose not to, is pretentious! 😠🙄

You look stunning. Like an impressionist painting. ❤😊
Insanely Thorough Reviews are my favorite!!
Wowee what a gorgeously beautiful brand. Loving this series. Something a bit different!
You look beautiful in this face of makeup. So subtle and yet so striking at the same time
I have been waiting for this review!!! I found Manasi 7 on Niche-Beauty and have been so intrigued by the creme shadows!
I like learning about lesser known brands 😊 I hope you do more videos like this, I would love to know your thoughts on more, such as eminence
Can you do a hair video? I love how voluminous your hair is and I want it
all of my hair videos are in this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLizpYXWzzy0VEo046GPB41GksYn7-FmmK.html ❤️
Btw as they're quite pricey, but according to my memory Niche Beauty (based in the EU) carries Manasi7 and they have sales and coupons all the time!
Try layering the complexion product as eye primer and then the eye product and see? Maybe they'll have a synergy coming from the same brand.
Loved this in-depth review Hannah, I've been so curious to try this brand so it was great to hear your thoughts!
I had the exact same experience with Manasi’s eye product. It went from grungy to gross in less time than it took to leave the house.
I love listening to you discuss makeup but I don't always have something I desperately need to share in the comments. Still, I shall do my part to feed the youtube gods by leaving one anyway
why do certain brands insist on making all of their products externally indistinguishable from one another 😖
Beautiful review, you always overdeliver 💙
I'd love to see the khaki multichrome eyeshadow from this brand.
Yes! Love an intensely thorough reviewer 💕
I adore Manasi 7. Works so well my dry skin pale as F skin
The slow beauty idea I can definitely get down with, though! I understand that for most brands it won't be much more than marketing, but I still like the concept and the reminder toward mindful consumption. 😊🌻
I only tried their loose powder and it is absolutely amazing !
This seems similar to a lovely brand that I use here in New Zealand - Aleph Beauty. They come in glass pottles and are also slow beauty ❤
Home sick and grumpy, nothing better than HLP on the TV, a fire, soup and a blanket.
I saw this brand and I thought Hannah Louise Poston would love this and uhhmm...of course you have a video of them
Haeckels is another incredibly thoughtful beauty brand doing great work to be as sustainable as possible!
So curious about the Rowen(?) Quads product you mention. Sound like my vibe....guess I should look for a video 😆
If you haven't found it yet, it's the brand Roen! I have the 11:11 quad and it's beautiful
♥
Thank you for the eye cream shadow save, i.e. I ain't buying it~~ I wanted to want it, I do want it, but not if it behaves the way it does, I don't want that ~~ I already possess what I want to want in that arena, that behaves the way I want it to. Preposition. 🙃
P.S. I have adored Ellis Faas for years, wish the brand got more you tube press, but probably doesn't translate to views ~~ thank you, once again Hannah, for jumping out of that you tube box ~~ part of why you are adored by many.
I really enjoy Manasi 7 😊 but I tend to use very minimal makeup. I never have been able to finish a pot before it's gone off:(😢
I'm curious how the cream color products compare to Rituel de Fille: the brand vibes seem very different, but the little containers of intriguing colored creams feels similar.
I’ve been so interested in this brand that I found on social media!! Ahh I can’t wait to watch this video.
In Slovakia, is this brand popular :) For example Tina Naté use this blush often...
i’m crying- why are western brands making tone up creams $50 😭 check out korean brands, they’re at most like $20. the one i’m using rn is from naming and it’s around $18. there’s a green one, but my skin is cool so i use the pink.
Most western "cool girl" makeup seems to be rip off asian beauty at twice the price 🤣
@@juliaswistara fantastically well put!
God yes. I've had tone up creams from k beauty brands for over ten years!!!
Happy Sunday to you Hannah! 💜
you too, Cecily!!
@@HannahLouisePoston thanks! I still recall the Ellis Faas (sp?) lipsticks from that video! I love learning about new brands from you. Like Monika Blounder for instance or Phytosurgence.
Loooove your insanely thorough reviews ❤
Ah just what I need to keep me company in the bath before bed ❤️ Night Night 😍
sorry, I know it's your personal choice and you plan on growing them out, but I looove the bangs.
I have no idea as I haven’t really used eyeshadow since I was like 20
Can you review beauty pie?
I love your channel, I purchased this whole line from Goop during covid and it cost me over $400 it’s crap is great selling packaging. Glad you like it though. I just feel like it was marketing. RMS did this same thing right. That’s just my opinion. The eyeshadow pallet was pure charcoal powder mixed with coco powder. I fell for the clean beauty vibe Goop sold me. 😅
WAHOU !!! Skin 😮😮😮❤❤❤ best I’ve seen !!!
Since the eye product you compared to the formula of a lip product, have you tried it that way to see if you like it that way?
I think you look lovely and fresh faced
Love your thorough reviews! I’m curious what the shelf life of these products is since they are “beyond clean”? Does it say on the packaging?
6 months
Weird thing to say but your complexion is serving today
Interestingly enough, I went to school with a girl named Manasi.
i have like 3 friends named manasi but they all pronounce it like mansi
Hi Hannah, I've been very intrigued about the All Over Color since I watched your review yesterday. Particularly the shade range I find super appealing. However, I've had my eye lately in the Armani neo nude cream blushes, and now I'm not sure what to pick. Between those two formulas, which one do you prefer?
😍 yay new video
Their powder is the best in the business - and I’ve used it for years and probably will have it forever 😂. Now that I’m seeing your review, I want to buy all their other products as well …
It's also South Asian owned! (Manasi is a South Asian name)
Omg I was wondering about it. Good to know. Desigal here.
*it’s not olive enough for me* ahhh yes… This is a world I know well.
The creasy glossy gunky messy look is the one I’m after 🙈
Ok I’m really sad that the product picks up if you try to correct it after first application. I probably won’t be able to help myself anyway 😭
Numero uno 😂 hello from Sicily ❤
Imagine going to an expensive restaurant and ordering a delicious, expensive meal only to have the chef come tell you, you have to make it yourself!! No thank you, sir!! The fact that they have the ability to create more shades but choose not to, is pretentious! 😠🙄
