Very cool! Also interesting to think about your situation. So you had the flagship from SEVERAL years ago. This is unique for sure. To go to one of their lowest end phones today. Compared to the highest back then. If you ever want an upgrade, they have the A25, the A35, and I'm sure they will continue those phones through the A36, A37, etc. So enjoy this, and if you ever decide to upgrade, you could always consider the A20 or A30 lines for something a little faster.
*When I first got this phone it did feel a little slower. So I updated the software and reset the phone and did NOT restore any backup, and it is MUCH faster. If this phone feels extra slow even compared to an A14 try a factory reset and start from scratch. I didn't mention it because it was just a minor software bug but it's good to know*
Hey buddy, just wanted to reach out and say thank you. I really appreciate your honesty with this stuff and also being open minded and not biased right off the rip like several other tech channels. I have purchased several devices based off your videos and have been happy with all of them. Keep up what you are doing!
Seriously this means the world. Thank you so much. I'm trying to keep it real. If you ever use affiliate links in the description, even if it's to buy other things that I didn't talk about in the video, that still helps if it gets you to the website. Trying to talk about things. A lot of people don't talk about and a lot of phones that people don't consider. Let me know if you have any other questions. Also, I answer nearly every comment, but I do give priority to the first comment that I've never responded to. I don't always respond back and forth over and over. So feel free to leave any new comments and I'll try the best I can to answer if you ever have questions down the line
Got mugged and lost my iPhone 12 that I had for 3 years. I've used iPhones for years and tried using androids but was never used to it. Besides the camera quality which I never take pics anyway and little things here and there, I really like this phone and is only a fraction of the price. So glad I chose this phone and it has everything I need and holds up well.
I bought the A15 5g (international model) on Amazon and have been using it for about 9 days now. It replaced an A32 5g that I'd been using for 3 years ish. It's about the same thing and the price was reasonable enough. I've been satisfied with it's performance and think it's a satisfactory phone for the price. But it's good for the average user.
I've also been using the A32 5g for like 3 years as well, today went and bought the A15 5g. it's smoother, brighter, and doesn't lag as bad as mine. So far, I'm pretty happy with it, Im not very picky with my phone, if it does the basics then it's a win for me lol.
If you can afford a $1500 phone than you better enjoy it 😂 But many (me included) just need a phone to make calls, mail and browse and YT a bit. So I buy something slightly better than I need, so I can skip one or two generations.
Great honest review. I will not spend more than $200 for a smartphone. I am still using my Samsung Galaxy A10e which I bought in August 2019. It still works great, though it has slowed down a bit. When it stops working, I will buy another Samsung Galaxy A series like the A15.
They sent me an S10e to replace my S9, buy I *immediately* traded that in on the "5G for All" program for this A15. Loving it so far, though it seems a bit slower than my mom's S23.
I just ordered two of these on Amazon. One for me to replace my ORIGINAL LG Aristo, another for my gf who lives part of the year in Ecuador, part of the year here in the US. The dual sim slots will be a big advantage for her! She can have her EC sim in one slot, her US sim in the other slot, and be ready to go wherever she is! Btw, I got them on Amazon for $179 each, 256gb/8gb ram, factory unlocked. What a deal, for our situations!
the only think i do not like an my A15 5G, is the 4Gb System Memory, 6Gb would had been better and the one thing i really *CAN NOT* stand is this "Deep Sleep" thingy for apps, just freaking close them damned apps already and they wont use up Battery life by running in the background !! oh and the plastic shell doesn't really bother me at all since i have a protective cover over it anyways
Great review! These budget phones are getting really good. I used to buy flagship phones but I've reached a point where I'm fine with budget and mid range phones because it does everything for less. Considering picking up an a15 5g because straight talk has it for free if you purchase a monthly plan.
Just bought this phone last week. Switched to Total by Verizon and got it, a screen protector, case, and one mont free all for $115 total. It works just great for me.
The only improvement: smart view, quality, size and screen display compared to the previous a14. Out of that none for the price. I got it for free so I can't complain. Ah! In some cases at least the one the provider gave me is dual sim. Something NOT common where they sell phones where I am from
Thanks for sharing the informative video on A15 5G. Your review is really true and clear cut about this mobile phone . As it can help others to make their mind during the purchase. Thanks a lot for sharing.
wow thanks for the reply !! i am not in the US. the important thing in a phone for me is longevity , i understand that it's a budget phone so my expectations are not that high , it's just that i want the phone to last a while . my sister has galaxy A51 and she says it's great and never lags or anything but sometimes it gets hot and the battery drains faster . my brother had galaxy A6+ for 5.5 years and the battery is still better than hers(and better than his new iphone) . i rarely take photos if any at all and what screen type is not a factor. planning on buying A25 5g or A15 5g both with 8 gb ram and 256 gb storage , so i wanted to know which one doesn't eat away the battery . if u have any other phone u recommend i will check it out . where i am from (morocco) there are a lot of oppo , redmi , honor phones , huawei , (i heard that some chinese phones might not have android or very limited apps so that's not good ), anyway thanks a lot for taking time to reply i really appreciate it
I'd probably pick the Moto G Power 2024 over this. Motorola has it for $280. But Best Buy will have it open box for closer to $200. Most prepaids have it cheaper. if you have a prepaid. But it has a lot more power over this. Still some compromises. But I slightly prefer it over this, if you can get it for a good deal. I just dropped my G Power review and you can find the links in the description there. The A15 is close. But I'd try to get the A25 or Moto G Power if you can, but if they are too high, then yes, I would recommend the A15 still.
Premium or luxury products just exist for the people that can afford them and with a lot of money to burn Just look at the people that spend more than 10k on watches
I used to be that person which I thought oh I’ll buy over the odds for a Mac and Apple Watch and iPhone. I do still adore the Mac but have since sold my watch and in process on moving from 13 mini. The battery is abismal, the price is shocking over how much I’ve paid out for all of those. I kick myself every time I look at the phone. 😮
Add the UA-cam icon to your home screen. Then hold your finger on it, it will give you a bunch of options, and there should be a little i in the top corner of those options. Select that. Make sure notifications are turned on and not denied
You can go further by checking the advanced notifications. Each app lets you turn off notifications for specific items. Maybe one of those notification categories is accidentally turned off. Other than that, do not disturb is a setting to check, otherwise I'm not sure. May be a bug.
Well two different worlds. iPhone 6 was the best phone, years and years ago. In some ways it may still be better today than some budget phones, the battery will be miles better, it will be about the same speed, camera may be slightly worse, or close. Personally I think it's better, when in doubt, get the A25 5G, which costs just a little more. But yeah I think it's a little better, and battery life and some other things will be WAY better.
It's much worse. When you have a phone that was one of the best phones years and years ago, you don't want to just buy a budget phone today. There will be somethings that are much better, like much better battery life. But a flagship processor, a high-end processor, from years ago, will be much faster than the cheapest budget phones out there. If you're not wanting to spend a lot of money, but you're wanting to get something faster, you could always look at a refurbished Galaxy S23 from Best Buy, or you could buy a Galaxy S23 FE. Or a Galaxy S24FE. For you, the Galaxy A35 should be the "break even point" where you don't notice a big downgrade. There are still some perks to getting something like the Galaxy A15 when you're comparing it to an older phone. You would get better battery life, a bigger screen, a faster refresh rate, there are some benefits. But you would notice some of the cons too. Good luck though finding something suitable for you
hello !! compared to the A25 , which one would u say use the battery a lot more ?! i am not into gaming and it seems that they have the same battery size so i suppose the one with better specs uses a lot more energy ? if the camera and gaming isn't something u guys care about what phone would u recommend ? i am tight on money and i don't think that will change anytime soon lol ,, so i just want a phone that lasts a while ,, maybe a motorola phone or honor , oppo ? also this channel is great new subscriber !
Are you in the US? What carrier? A lot of factors. What is important in a phone to you? Leave a new comment (not a comment on this thread) if you want a faster response. I typically try to reply to everyone once so I tend to see new comments easier
The Spark 20 has slightly better hardware, I would argue the software support will be much much worse. Do you want better hardware or software? That's the question
I agree that is a great phone. I am actually planning on switching to the Apple ecosystem for my core tech setup, but if I were staying on Android I would definitely consider the Galaxy A15, because quite frankly I don’t do anything on a phone that requires the immense power of a high end $1,000 phone. The phone that I am currently considering is the iPhone 13 Pro, which is around $500 from Amazon Renewed in excellent condition. It can do 95% of everything that the iPhone 15 Pro can do, but at literally half the price.
Yes and no. It's all about expectations, it is laggier than more expensive phones, but the performance was decent after set up for me. If you're used to budget phones around this price it will be a pleasant surprise. If you're used to $300+ phones you may be slightly disappointed.
I mean, you could. I think you'll be massively disappointed. That's a massive downgrade. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a $10 case on your phone. Get a $10 screen protector and get a very thin case and you're fine.
I have M12 for about two years now, and the performance is so bad, will this be a good replacement? Or should I look for better one? + I read that the 4g version has better performance, is that true?
It would for sure be a very good upgrade over that phone. It's got a much better screen, with a better refresh rate, better performance, 4 GB of RAM in the base model. It would definitely be a nice upgrade. If you want to get an extra treat, better speakers, and 4k video, and another performance bump, that A25 is really good too. I would recommend both 5g models to you
I have an iPhone 8, the battery is very bad and draining quickly , do you recommend this phone or should I get a newer iPhone? The price of this phone is very tempting, I don’t wanna regret buying it just bc it’s cheap hehe.
I think you would regret buying it from your perspective. Some things would be way way better. But you're taking what was a flagship phone years ago and comparing to the budget range. So there would be some things that would disappoint. That's a classic reason why some iPhone users hate android. They try a phone at the bottom. I have no doubt the battery life would be way better. By a mile. But because you're getting a phone on the lower end, you're going to add new problems you didn't have before too. I'm just guessing here, but if you get the a15, I think you'll be pretty disappointed. Introducing two or three problems to fix one. If you get the a25, it may feel I can even swap, you may eventually want to upgrade anyway. Something like the Galaxy s23 Fe, maybe even the Galaxy A55, if you get any of those type of phones, you will probably feel a lot better. And I'm guessing, if you're okay with Android, you will probably enjoy a lot of things once you get used to the operating system. But that means it's going to cost you at least $300, probably depending on what carrier you go with. Prepaids have a lot of these phones really really cheap, but I think you'll be pretty impressed with a lot of other Android phones out there, but you typically have to spend between $400 to $600 to get a really nice one. You could get something really good at 300 if you're careful.
I am looking at getting a new phone, my current phone is the Samsung Galaxy S10e. Would this be an upgrade over my current phone or am I better off keeping my phone?
Honestly I would choose neither of those options. I wouldn't stick with what you have very long unless you have to for budget reasons. And I wouldn't upgrade to a cheaper phone like this. You're in the unique situation because your expectations are already a little bit higher coming from a flagship phone from the past. That phone had pretty good cameras for its time and the speed was very good, so it will be even better than a budget phone like this with the cameras and the speed. You also have a much smaller phone, and sadly, those are pretty much out the window right now. If I were in your shoes and I wanted to upgrade soon, I would get a Galaxy S23 refurbished from Best Buy for $500. (Literally what I just did). It's one of the smallest phones you can get. It still has plenty of years of updates left, and it should be in mint condition. You could also find one on eBay in mint condition for maybe $450. OR you can get a slower phone, but still pretty fast, with the same cameras, the Galaxy A54. It's 6.4 inches, and basically is the same thing as the S23, it just has some plastic in the build and it's a little slower, you can get that for like $300 open box from Best Buy. Or like $375 new. It might be a little too big of you're coming from a small phone but hey, if that's what you want it's got a bigger battery then the S23. It's just a little slower. But still will be close to if not better then what you have now. The A35 is about to release and it's pretty similar to the A54 too. But with the sales on the A54 5G you might as well get that. I'd recommend one of those 3 phones. S23 if you can afford it and want something smaller. A54 if you want something a little bigger with bigger battery. And the S23 FE is a good runner up too. Basically a bigger version of the S23 with bigger battery. Hopefully all this helps. I've reviewed all those phones at one time or another. If you do purchase any, feel free to use my links in UA-cam descriptions. Even if it's not for the exact item you want, as long as you use a Samsung link to get to Samsung you can search for what you want when you get there, same for best buy. But using my links helps my channel Hopefully that helps
@@AndroidDigestone of the reasons I was looking at this phone that you reviewed in this video was because this phone has a ear phone jack. I am slowly realizing that most new smart phones don't even provide a head phone jack, I am a bit old school like that i like my head phone jack option. I will look into the recommendations you pointed out. Thank you for your input.
@@AndroidDigest yeah I would love to have that phone it has longer battery no annoying Dynamic Island blocking the screen and a better camera(I love my iPhone 15 plus but after like 2 years I’ll just get bored of it)
I got this phone yesterday cause i broke my Google pixel 7a never again will i ever buy a Google pixels they are horrible phone's, I was very surprised how this one felt i have small hands so it's a heavy & very sturdy phone, When i was getting my apps & downloading them it was fast the first time, so i guess i got lucky but so far am loving this phone & the color that it puts out absolutely beautiful, Am the type of person who goes for cheap phone's as i went to At&T they recommended me this phone, & i had so much doubts with Samsungs but to be honest it's slowly growing on me, seems am going to have a lot of fun with this phone.
Glad you're enjoying it . It doesn't retail for a lower retail price. And I don't think the cameras will be as good. But it's a pretty good phone overall for the money . You could always resell it down the line too if you ever feel like you need something more.
You know a lot of people would view this as laggy and slow. Because it's all about expectations. If you come from an A12 this may be a very very nice upgrade. If you come from a Galaxy S23 you will think this is the slowest. I think it's a decent phone for the money though. That's the important thing
If you think that, it's GREAT news for you. I always say it's about expectations. A lot of people are more than happy with budget and mid-range and don't notice a huge difference. For you, that means every phone above this will be a victor!
Hello everyone I buy it 3 months ago. And. This a lag champion. Just do UA-cam. Some Pandora music and maps some browsing. A little bit of Facebook. Or market place. And. It is not a decent phone at all. Feels good in hand looks good on the screen department. But lags a lot even to do a phone call. Using basic aps. Not to advanced.
Honestly it's not a monstrous upgrade. If you get a really good deal on a14 it's probably worth it if you save some money. Otherwise, I would look for the a25, which I think is a nice jump up. But we should see the a16 releasing within the next month. Same for the a26.
@AndroidDigest Cheers, How about the amoled vs the LCD? Speed i do not care so much about its more watching YT and films. (Price diffrence beetween the two is about 170$ contra 200$, both are 5G.)
The camera on my A15 seems much better than my previous A14. So far the screen looks way better. Hopefully the apps perform better on this one. The A14 just constantly pissed me off. It seemed like a pretty bad step down from my A13G
If I were you I would just try to take one extra step up and go with the a25 or go with something like an a35. If you've been having headaches with the a14, which I did enjoy for the money, I think you would do yourself a service by just going a little better
For sure. This is a great starter phone for any kid or teenager in my opinion. First off, don't forget that Google family link is a great tool. If you set them up a new Gmail, and the order of how you do these things is important, so you might want to research. But if you set up the email, you can set parental controls however light or strict you want. You could lock down the phone entirely. Let's say if they get grounded. You can make them request every single app they want to download, if you want to be extra restrictive for a younger child for example. You could set the downtime during school. So having an Android phone and managing your child's Android phone through Gmail is actually really great.. As far as the phone you choose, obviously that's up to you. This phone won't have the greatest camera by any means. And if you do too much at once, it can't get a little bogged down. But once you get past the setup process, it's pretty smooth for the basics and they shouldn't have significant issues. It's got good battery life, it can make calls, obviously they can text. And it has plenty of space for aps. It even has a headphone jack if they need a cheap way to listen to audio. If you want to go one step up, the a25 is a good step up. I did a recent comparison. But I would recommend either of those phones as good starter phones
@@AndroidDigest thank you so much, I will do my research before deciding to purchase :) very helpful. I will be considering either one of these phones for sure 😀
Respectfully, you can keep telling yourself that. Groceries are way way more expensive than they used to be. Significantly more. The jobs report is indeed showing a gain in jobs, when you look at the details a lot of those are part-time jobs, because a lot of people are having to work two jobs right now. Everything is costing way more but wages are not going up at the same rate. Things are definitely stabilizing over what it was. But it crashed so bad, housing prices are through the roof and houses are now officially unaffordable. Which it was not four or five years ago. Bus statistics may look fine, because things have stabilized on the upper end. Things have stabilized for the rich. But if you look deeper into the reports, things have not stabilized for people like you me. This is not a political thing. It's just pure facts. At the time that I made this video, it definitely felt like the economy was continuing to crash. As of today, it is more stable than it was that day, but when prices were going up and up and up for years, and they were still going up even then, things are indeed crazy. This isn't just a media report or something or spun narratives. It's just basic facts if you talk to anyone who's trying to survive right now
Probably. My 60 year old dad has a Windows computer that's slow and his Internet is slow. He tells me why pay more when I'm okay waiting? He has retirement money but won't invest in tech. Only other things. If he is anything like my dad probably will like it. Obviously it's "new". If it's his first smartphone. May need to show him the ropes. Go into easy mode on the phone settings. Or simplify his home screen. Help him get a gmail set up. But this phone does what it needs to do. Has a headphone jack. Great battery life. Fast enough to do basics but not a speed demon. Seems right
That's absolutely fair. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. You can get one of those for like $600 right now too. It's a really awesome phone and especially a lot of people that use phones for their jobs and other things, or even just day-to-day for entertainment, people will spend thousands on cars or other things, but a phone is something we use all the time. I think it's more than okay to spend the money. There's two sides of it though, and for those people who see the phone just as a basic tool, I think there are a lot of good options to save them money too
Don't hate lol. Seriously, if you have a cat, scooping poop once or twice a day is terrible. Plus if you miss the wrong time your cat could have to poop in a nasty poopy mess. Having a litterbox literally scoop all of that for you 5 days a week saves you 10 minutes a day, and you only have to "take out the trash". The best $600 I've spent in my life, that is not an ad. It's imperfect, but I will NEVER scoop poop ever again. Seriously. And an app telling you your cats weight, when litter is low. It's awesome. I'm all for budget phones, but I hate this part of animal care. So it helps so much. Not even saying this because of the ad. Lol. It's seriously legit. That's why I don't do sponsorships often, but only in things I believe in.
😂😂 I hear you. They pay for a certain time though. It's pretty normal to get that, but hey, skip around if you need to again, thanks for sticking with my channel though
I definitely wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone. Even for a budget phone. My old beat and wore out Moto Z4 bit the dust recently and I got this as a last resort phone at the Verizon store. I deeply my decision, first off, the phone is slow. Very slow. Unapologetically slow, but it thinks it's fast. I would guess it's trying to be better than it is, and it's not working. The whole design feels like it's attempting to emulate iPhones in terms of UI and software, and it does a very poor job, though this may be a problem with Samsung in general, I must admit it's been years since I've had a Samsung, they seemed to have moved more into the direction of Apple-esque minimalism and user-friendliness. It does not work here. It feels like the entire phone has lost it's identity somewhere in the development. Anyways, there's constant input delay, slow apps, and minor glitches that make everything feel troublesome, the battery dies quickly, even on battery saving mode it went from 60% out of the store to 30% without me using it hardly at all. It was on 20% when I plugged it in, and after almost 3 hours it's still not full charge (Yes I'm using a 25 Watt charging block) The camera is very poor quality, worse than my previously mentioned Moto Z4 (Which you can purchase for $60 to $120), This camera quality is more akin to my phone prior the Moto Z4, a Galaxy J3 Eclipse. I know this because the J3 Eclipse is still functioning (somehow) and again the A15 camera is about the same image quality. The video quality is better and the color correction is a bit cleaner, but all in all comparing a seven year old phone to a current one is not great, though I must add the J3 is much slower than the A15. (After 7 years of use that's not surprising) Lastly the only good thing I can add is the sound quality. It's not great, but certainly better than some phones, it's main issue is being mono-speaker, thereby being easily muffled and covered to the point of being mute. In review, the Samsung A15 is a travesty against mankind and a perverse molestation of human creativity. No no it's not that bad, but it is certainly a poor product and there are better options out there. {Post Scriptum: I do consider the possibility that my phone is defective, though I have seen many other's express my same issues and others posit opinions contrary to mine, and those that which are of the negative light) ~ A very angry consumer
It's all expectations. You came from a higher end phone. Even if it's older. Expectations are key. For you I would have recommended maybe the A35. But you made an odd jump so I'm not surprised. You could need a factory reset. I needed one to fix some issues. But if it's still bad, yeah, I'd say it's definitely slower than many, but I'd say expectations are key
@AndroidDigest it's been more than a week since I got the phone and occasionally the screen goes black and the phone shuts down for a few minutes At a time where it needs to be restarted. And it's almost completely incapable of sending messages as every messaging app is too demanding for it... Update: The phone can no longer receive or make phonecalls
"Were in an economy that is crashing in many ways." What???? Nonsense. Inflation is 1/3 of what it was a year ago. Unemployment is way down. Wages are up. The stock market keeps reaching new highs. Economists are no longer predicting a recession.
Just talk to a normal human about their grocery prices and other things, ask how they feel the economy is doing today. I'm paying double the amount I was for nearly everything at the grocery store. I'm paying $13 for a Taco Bell meal that cost $6 two years ago. Same for pretty much every fast food place. Some things have went up 10%, but the majority of things that affect real people, fast food costs and grocery costs, things are way way higher. I'm not making this political. Just being real. Things are expensive and I don't know many people happy with the state of the economy right now
Even McDonalds has become expensive. They want $3.21 for a order of small fries. I can buy a 5 lb bag of potatoes for that and make my own fries. And 5 guys burgers is wayyy over priced. @@AndroidDigest
@@AndroidDigest Inflation is a g,oral situation and we're doing better than the rest of the free world. People are spending like crazy. Much of the problem with Inflation is corporate greed and those who complain the most we're against price gouging legislation. Undocumented workers also help keep prices down and in states like FL farmers are having to pay 2-3 times the wages as they scare away these workers. As an economics major, it's complicated but be glad you're here, it's far worse everywhere else in the free world
Can't the leftist cult leave a phone review video alone? I'm just trying to read pros and cons about the phone, not get a lesson in the successes (or more accurately, the failures) of Bidenomics.
Piece of junk, my wife and I both have this phone, we have had nothing but problems, lousy touch sensor, and flitters at times, is was sent back once for 3 weeks and they want me send it back again, only 4 months old
Yeah I get it. I'd try a factory reset if it still doesn't work, may want to get a better phone. It's all about expectations, but on the other hand, sounds like you may have a dud.

If you were a motorbike rider, you wouldn't say that 😅
😂😂😂😂
First of all watches are not 10k are you out of your mind?
Thanks for the comment.
How does it compare to the A32. T-mobile is replacing my A32 with the A15 model
im getting the same phone from amazon next month
Also international model has 6 gb of ram even Samsung site only have 4gb of ram
I've also been using the A32 5g for like 3 years as well, today went and bought the A15 5g. it's smoother, brighter, and doesn't lag as bad as mine. So far, I'm pretty happy with it, Im not very picky with my phone, if it does the basics then it's a win for me lol.
If you can afford a $1500 phone than you better enjoy it 😂
But many (me included) just need a phone to make calls, mail and browse and YT a bit.
So I buy something slightly better than I need, so I can skip one or two generations.
Exactly!
In my country people buy Iphones and after that they got no money left. 😂
Great honest review.
I will not spend more than $200 for a smartphone.
I am still using my Samsung Galaxy A10e which I bought in August 2019. It still works great, though it has slowed down a bit.
When it stops working, I will buy another Samsung Galaxy A series like the A15.
Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it! You may want to look between this and the A25, a lot of sales on those phones off and on.
Good luck! Enjoy it! If it's ever slow you know the upgrade path, A25 or A35 are both nice jumps up.
the only think i do not like an my A15 5G, is the 4Gb System Memory, 6Gb would had been better and the one thing i really *CAN NOT* stand is this "Deep Sleep" thingy for apps, just freaking close them damned apps already and they wont use up Battery life by running in the background !!
oh and the plastic shell doesn't really bother me at all since i have a protective cover over it anyways
Awesome. Glad you're enjoying it
Watching on one now. I love this phone
Very good for the money
Me too
Great phone for its price . I got 1 last feb 3
The only improvement: smart view, quality, size and screen display compared to the previous a14. Out of that none for the price. I got it for free so I can't complain. Ah! In some cases at least the one the provider gave me is dual sim. Something NOT common where they sell phones where I am from
Screen size on the a14 is 6.6, this one is slightly smaller.
Does it have where u can minimize UA-cam and use other apps
Yes it does
Solid realistic review. I just got this device and for the price point I could not be happier. Like you said it's all about expectations
Thank you for the comment, appreciate it!
I like your A15 review. It help people who has small budget to look for good phone. Thanks
Thanks so much
Bought this phone for my mom, and she really likes it..
Awesome to hear! It's a great starter phone for a lot of people
Thanks for sharing the informative video on A15 5G. Your review is really true and clear cut about this mobile phone . As it can help others to make their mind during the purchase. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Thanks! This means a lot.
wow thanks for the reply !! i am not in the US. the important thing in a phone for me is longevity , i understand that it's a budget phone so my expectations are not that high , it's just that i want the phone to last a while . my sister has galaxy A51 and she says it's great and never lags or anything but sometimes it gets hot and the battery drains faster . my brother had galaxy A6+ for 5.5 years and the battery is still better than hers(and better than his new iphone) . i rarely take photos if any at all and what screen type is not a factor. planning on buying A25 5g or A15 5g both with 8 gb ram and 256 gb storage , so i wanted to know which one doesn't eat away the battery . if u have any other phone u recommend i will check it out . where i am from (morocco) there are a lot of oppo , redmi , honor phones , huawei , (i heard that some chinese phones might not have android or very limited apps so that's not good ), anyway thanks a lot for taking time to reply i really appreciate it
Yeah I'd at least get the A25 if you can afford it. A35 if you have even more Just go as high up the chain as you can.
Thanks for the video. As of today, is this the best budget phone available under $200, or have you discovered a better one?
Is it rootable?
I'd probably pick the Moto G Power 2024 over this. Motorola has it for $280. But Best Buy will have it open box for closer to $200. Most prepaids have it cheaper. if you have a prepaid. But it has a lot more power over this. Still some compromises. But I slightly prefer it over this, if you can get it for a good deal. I just dropped my G Power review and you can find the links in the description there.
The A15 is close. But I'd try to get the A25 or Moto G Power if you can, but if they are too high, then yes, I would recommend the A15 still.
I have one and its really smooth and not plastic
No body needs a 1000$ phone. Are you crazy.
That's what a ton of people buy though
Premium or luxury products just exist for the people that can afford them and with a lot of money to burn
Just look at the people that spend more than 10k on watches
Agree. In today's economy, most people are saving for rainy days even if they make good incomes.
Years ago I bought a Iphone 6 right when it was released and I regretted it.I would rather have a Samsung anyday
But what will I show people to prove my "wealth"
I used to be that person which I thought oh I’ll buy over the odds for a Mac and Apple Watch and iPhone. I do still adore the Mac but have since sold my watch and in process on moving from 13 mini. The battery is abismal, the price is shocking over how much I’ve paid out for all of those. I kick myself every time I look at the phone. 😮
I bought this. I really like it.
Only thing is I'm not getting notifications from UA-cam on my notifications bar. How do I fix that?
Add the UA-cam icon to your home screen. Then hold your finger on it, it will give you a bunch of options, and there should be a little i in the top corner of those options. Select that. Make sure notifications are turned on and not denied
@@AndroidDigest All notifications are allowed, but I'm not seeing them pop up in my notification bar.
You can go further by checking the advanced notifications. Each app lets you turn off notifications for specific items. Maybe one of those notification categories is accidentally turned off. Other than that, do not disturb is a setting to check, otherwise I'm not sure. May be a bug.
@@AndroidDigestWell I have checked my notification settings and everything is set to be allowed. Nothing is set to "Do not disturb".
Maybe it's a bug.
I have an iPhone 6. Is it safe to assume this one is better?
Definitely, bought it a couple days ago it could keep up with my iPhone 12
Well two different worlds. iPhone 6 was the best phone, years and years ago. In some ways it may still be better today than some budget phones, the battery will be miles better, it will be about the same speed, camera may be slightly worse, or close. Personally I think it's better, when in doubt, get the A25 5G, which costs just a little more. But yeah I think it's a little better, and battery life and some other things will be WAY better.
Plump Ole Lady here...
Do you think its the same as, better or worse then Galaxy s10e?
Good luck though finding something suitable for you
@@AndroidDigest Thank you. The hubby and I appreciate these type of videos. I'll let him know what your take on it is. Very helpful. Blessings.
Got this for my Aunt - amazing value.
Great video 👍📸
Thanks so much
hello !! compared to the A25 , which one would u say use the battery a lot more ?! i am not into gaming and it seems that they have the same battery size so i suppose the one with better specs uses a lot more energy ? if the camera and gaming isn't something u guys care about what phone would u recommend ? i am tight on money and i don't think that will change anytime soon lol ,, so i just want a phone that lasts a while ,, maybe a motorola phone or honor , oppo ? also this channel is great new subscriber !
Are you in the US? What carrier? A lot of factors. What is important in a phone to you? Leave a new comment (not a comment on this thread) if you want a faster response. I typically try to reply to everyone once so I tend to see new comments easier
Power button is on display just double tap the screen and it will light up. Wich is awesome n the middle bottom .you will see
Compare with the spark 20 which is better ???
The Spark 20 has slightly better hardware, I would argue the software support will be much much worse. Do you want better hardware or software? That's the question
I agree that is a great phone. I am actually planning on switching to the Apple ecosystem for my core tech setup, but if I were staying on Android I would definitely consider the Galaxy A15, because quite frankly I don’t do anything on a phone that requires the immense power of a high end $1,000 phone. The phone that I am currently considering is the iPhone 13 Pro, which is around $500 from Amazon Renewed in excellent condition. It can do 95% of everything that the iPhone 15 Pro can do, but at literally half the price.
i want it to vlog with it, the convenience is brilliant
Does it still lag now? Would you suggest using android go with this? Thanks
Yes and no. It's all about expectations, it is laggier than more expensive phones, but the performance was decent after set up for me. If you're used to budget phones around this price it will be a pleasant surprise. If you're used to $300+ phones you may be slightly disappointed.
Love your review! ☺️Does this phone have a split screen mode?
Yes split screen is available on this phone. Im using this phone🙂
Yes it does!
Thanks for the answer!
I have the s24 ultra, but sometimes I wish I had the balls to rock my phone without a case. I'm considering getting this so I can do just that.
I mean, you could. I think you'll be massively disappointed. That's a massive downgrade. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a $10 case on your phone. Get a $10 screen protector and get a very thin case and you're fine.
I'm using my Note 20 Ultra with a fitBAG pouch so when i use it its just the bare phone but when I'm not using it its still well protected.
Please do a review of the galaxy a25 Samsung 5g it seems good phone i heard Samsung says that
I may do that soon
I have M12 for about two years now, and the performance is so bad, will this be a good replacement? Or should I look for better one?
+ I read that the 4g version has better performance, is that true?
They have different processors, but they have nearly identical performance
@@AndroidDigest
Is either of them a good upgrade from my M12?
+ Thanks for replying!
I would recommend both 5g models to you
Who's here after the outage
Me 🤣
I have an iPhone 8, the battery is very bad and draining quickly , do you recommend this phone or should I get a newer iPhone?
But using my links helps my channel
Hopefully that helps
@@AndroidDigestone of the reasons I was looking at this phone that you reviewed in this video was because this phone has a ear phone jack. I am slowly realizing that most new smart phones don't even provide a head phone jack, I am a bit old school like that i like my head phone jack option. I will look into the recommendations you pointed out. Thank you for your input.
Not sure if you are comfortable buying renewed, but if you are then maybe take a look at the s22 refurbished perhaps. It's below 300$.
Man any good Samsung alternatives to the iPhone 15 plus
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus is a pretty good alternative for sure. If you're looking for something pretty equivelant
@@AndroidDigest yeah I would love to have that phone it has longer battery no annoying Dynamic Island blocking the screen and a better camera(I love my iPhone 15 plus but after like 2 years I’ll just get bored of it)
Yeah you would probably enjoy it especially if you're getting a little bored with what you have now.
Good to see you again young man great review ❤@@AndroidDigest
Even samsung galaxy s23 ultra is a solid option for that iPhone.
I got this phone yesterday cause i broke my Google pixel 7a never again will i ever buy a Google pixels they are horrible phone's,
I was very surprised how this one felt i have small hands so it's a heavy & very sturdy phone,
When i was getting my apps & downloading them it was fast the first time, so i guess i got lucky but so far am loving this phone & the color that it puts out absolutely beautiful,
Am the type of person who goes for cheap phone's as i went to At&T they recommended me this phone, & i had so much doubts with Samsungs but to be honest it's slowly growing on me, seems am going to have a lot of fun with this phone.
Glad you're enjoying it . It doesn't retail for a lower retail price. And I don't think the cameras will be as good. But it's a pretty good phone overall for the money . You could always resell it down the line too if you ever feel like you need something more.
@@AndroidDigest the thing is my phone didn't come with a blue color like everyone else mine came in black
Do you think that the A15 is better than the A32? T-mobile is replacing my A32 5G with the A15 5G.
It's pretty even.
I got mine at Wal-Mart for $57..$50 dollars a month..I got tempary number, but i get that changed tommorrow..
Enjoy it
Can’t use tempered glass on it?
You can
i want this phone lol my phone sucks so badly, its really laggy and slow :p
You know a lot of people would view this as laggy and slow. Because it's all about expectations. If you come from an A12 this may be a very very nice upgrade. If you come from a Galaxy S23 you will think this is the slowest. I think it's a decent phone for the money though. That's the important thing
@@AndroidDigest i have zte phone n it just ramdomly crashes apps im on for too long lmao
Is it full OneUI or OneUI core ?
Full one ui
@@Uxz-iu8re Thanks. The past 1x versions used to have loads of oneUI features stripped out.
Today I had a choice between the s24 and this. It's almost basically the same.
If you think that, it's GREAT news for you. I always say it's about expectations. A lot of people are more than happy with budget and mid-range and don't notice a huge difference. For you, that means every phone above this will be a victor!
Just received mine but I'm having a hard time doing a screen shot. Help please 😮
Volume down and the power button at the exact same time
@@AndroidDigest thanks for your help
Here in germany the price dropped always to 140$ (4g version)
That seems pretty good
@@AndroidDigest got one for 134€... It's brilliant.
Maybe try to do a factory reset. Start from scratch. It helped me immensely. I lagged a lot before that
I got one and it's a good phone 🤳 if I want to he critical, the screen shots are very slow 🐌 but for the £149.i paid who's worried.
I hear you. Decent for the money. But definitely imperfect. Glad you're enjoying it
Good job on your review. 👍🏼🎯
thanks so much!
For the price its perfect for basics
Exactly, that's my thoughts.
It's cost 120 dollars for 128g 4ram in Libya
Not bad
Would you chose this over A14 5G
If you've been having headaches with the a14, which I did enjoy for the money, I think you would do yourself a service by just going a little better
so the screen itself is plastic?
No it is made from glass. Glass in the front 😁
Snagged one for 185$.. Great value phone.
For sure
Thank you. Really like the phone and this video explained a lot.
Thanks so much. Enjoy the phone
"People are sick of spending $1000 on a smartphone.."
Truth: 'You DON'T HAVE TO spend $1000 on a smartphone' - Smart Phones/Dumb People
I wanna get a phone for my two daughters, they mostly use theyre tablets for youtube, spoify and games. I assume this phone would be perfect? :)
The economy is not "crashing".
It's just basic facts if you talk to anyone who's trying to survive right now
It’s ok phone for my 60 years old dad?
Seems right
YOU DON'T NEED TO SPEND A FORTUNE TO BUY AN EXCELLENT PHONE FOR A REASONABLE PRICE
For sure!
Yo this fone is badass
That’s because Samsung makes the displays. Everyone else has to buy them.
Right. That's definitely one reason
It's an awesome phone for the money...
For sure!
This phone overheats alot and lagging can be seen. Other then that its good.
I didn't experience the overheating, though I did get some occasional lag, thanks for sharing your experiences though.
Avoid the 4gb model.
Under £100 on Amazon UK
A great deal
My phone feels glass and metal
It feels pretty nice
Wow guess you told me.
I would buy the S23 ultra.
NOT cuz I got money to burn but because I want what I want and I could afford it.
There's two sides of it though, and for those people who see the phone just as a basic tool, I think there are a lot of good options to save them money too
A15 5G H/S got an display iissue
I haven't noticed a display issue. But I'm always good with people sharing their experiences
Who are the fool those still buying Iphone ? Raise your hands please.
One reason. In the world of phones there are only two kinds. An iPhone and everything that's NOT an iPhone. ☝🏻
Seems like a good first phone for my son.
perfect for that
Phones is great. And I like plastic!!
Yeah, I don't know why people hate plastic, it's good for durability.
A litter box app!?😂
600 dollars?!😮🤔🤣
Its cat ad that lost me
Lol it's an ad man. A sponsorship. There's time stamps where you can skip
@AndroidDigest true Notting wrong with ads, but next time, keep it simple and to point.. I'm trying to get review of the phone, not a cat potty lmao.
Don't be rude. The cat ad is fine.

It was on 20% when I plugged it in, and after almost 3 hours it's still not full charge
(Yes I'm using a 25 Watt charging block)
The camera is very poor quality, worse than my previously mentioned Moto Z4 (Which you can purchase for $60 to $120),
This camera quality is more akin to my phone prior the Moto Z4, a Galaxy J3 Eclipse.
(After 7 years of use that's not surprising)
Lastly the only good thing I can add is the sound quality.
{Post Scriptum: I do consider the possibility that my phone is defective, though I have seen many other's express my same issues and others posit opinions contrary to mine, and those that which are of the negative light)
