Brit here…so, “doofah” or “doofer” is a generic term for anything we can’t remember the name of, eg “pass the doofah” when referring to the tv remote control.
So a spatula could easily be called a doofah…extrapolating along Kay’s naming convention and we arrive at Oofah Doofah

Bacon in the UK comes in smoked and unsmoked varieties.
When she says she can smell it's salty bacon I'm 90% sure she can smell it's the smoked variety which does tend to be more salty than unsmoked.
What is confusing though is she doesn't like the overt saltiness but adds extra salt to the dish as well as the soy sauce which is also salty.
In my country we have smoked and the non-smoked salty one.
This is exactly what I though. She's got smoked
As an avid follower of Kay I've come to the conclusion she just doesn't understand the concept of flavours combining in a dish. It would never occur to her that multiple salty ingredients would make for an overall increase in salinity.

@@Brianlmr It's truly bizarre because when she first began posting videos she would never add any kind of seasoning to anything not even the basics salt and pepper.
Then one day out of nowhere she started adding salt but nothing else and even then it was the slightest of shakes of salt like maybe a dozen grains in the entire dish.
Months later she discovered white pepper and began using that too.
Next was dried parsley, then following that she started claiming that basil was her favourite herb despite not once adding it to any dish she cooked on her channels over numerous years.
Now she's adding salt to things that don't need it.
I think the cheapest bacon is often saltier
to be fair. when you remember how bad her first attempt in cooking this dish was, this is a big improvement.
She has gotten a lot better over the years, I’m proud of her. She’s so sweet.

As a British person, I can confirm that an “oofa doofa” is a pronoun, of sorts, that acts as a placeholder for the name of an object, more frequently when you don’t know the name of said object

@@zezimare ain’t a bad bone in that ladies body. Terrible cook, but oddly enough here we all are watching Kay’s cooking. She’s so bad at cooking, but it makes her worth watching. Not to mention I’m pretty sure she’s got a heart of gold . She doesn’t even seem like she’s capable of being anything less than charming and sweet. I’ll bring a sack lunch if she ever invites me to one her cookouts, but I’d still go just to hang out and chat .

You probably wouldn't know this unless you experience it often enough, but cured "salty" bacon and English bacon really do smell just different enough to tell the difference.

i'd kinda assumed she meant smoked, as smoked/unsmoked you can tell right away, and smoked tends to be saltier.
Also, British bacon is from the loin of the pig, and cured differently from American bacon, or streaky bacon. So they’re very different, and you can tell by the smell. If you’re American, think of Canadian bacon- you know the difference between them immediately.

I had to go down the "oofa doofa" rabbit hole. So apparently, in British slang they have a word for any generic object they need to use but can't think of the name of at the moment.
This was originally called a "do-for". Like, this item will "do-for" this task I need it for.
I suppose with Kay's accent and eccentricities this has become "oofa doofa" in regards to her kitchen spoon.

A doofah is an English slang term for literally any kind of tool/appliance that you're currently using but don't know the name of or can't remember it. She added tge oofah herself and was also referring to the spatula not the spoon.

So, I have watched a bunch of your videos on Kay's Cooking, and I can't believe this hasn't occurred to me until now...I wonder if, perhaps, Kay is a super taster. This might seem like a joke, but I can assure you, it actually isn't. Kay doesn't seem to season her food much, and she complains when food is "too salty", even when the food she is referring to is something you would normally assume would be salty. My mother is a super taster, whereas my father and I are not. I can't eat food if it's too bland, while my mother can't eat heavily seasoned foods. She prefers it to be as bland as can be. She's also, as much as I love her, not the best cook. In fact, she's notorious for being a very bad cook. Do you see the parallels I am drawing here? I think it's very likely in the case of Kay's Cooking, that Kay herself is a super taster. Super tasters tend to be very sensitive to non-bland foods and are generally not very good cooks.

Ofada is a type of rice from "Ofada". Popular street food stews use it. The brown is more aromatic when compared to the qhite.

Doofer is anything you don’t want to/can’t remember the name for. The TV remote was always called the doofer in my childhood home (sometimes the “telly doofer”). The Oofer part is probably just because Kay likes to rhyme and play on words, hence “Spud Taters”.
