Tourism in the 40k universe
This guy is a Tau agent.
Dark Edar are not heretical, but they are chaos, which is not the same, exactly, but not exactly different. So you kind of have two members with him.
In the 40k Universe Chaos means a fallower of the Chaos Gods, and Dark Eldar hate the Chaos Gods as much as the Craftworld Eldar. What you mean is chaotic Evil from the DnD System.
So in the 40k Universe there is a big diverence between the too because the Terme Chaos is realy specific.
Also noch all hererics are Chaos Worshippers. In universe there are also many different interpretations of the imperial faith. And the diverent faiths can call each other heretical. For Exempel the Exlesiarchie has in generel a poor relationship with the techpriests of the Adeptus Mecanicus because the Mecanicus belives in the Machine God.
I was hoping to find an answer as to how hard one has to lean into one direction if one wants to max out a conviction.
As in, can I play iconoclast for 90% of the game and still take the dogmatic choice at the end of chapter 1 and still be able to max out iconoclast later down the line? Or did they calculate the choices in such a way that you can only max it out by leaning into one path the entire way, 100% of the time, every single choice?

So I made every heretical choice I found and in later part of act 4 1 was 15 points away from hitting tier 4 and didn’t get to make a few big heretical decisions because my heretical didn’t hit 4. So you gotta lean pretty hard to get higher tier decisions on time.

is there a way to progress mercenary conviction im playing with my friend and he made me a character to play with but only he progresses through heretical and i stay as heretical 1
From what I understand only the main character gets progress based on your actions. The companions progress at a set rate through chapters.
Great video! I would like to see all the items for each conviction that are locked only to said conviction.
Dogmatic should have an ecclesiarchy or inquisition avatar,while iconoclast should have the Emperor.
Pretty sure the emperor wouldn't agree with M40 dogmas
Iconoclast is just pink-washed heresy in the long term.
This is not a good guide, anyone can open this menu and read this, but what would be nice to know, is the permanent buffs you get from making alignment choices, like pray against, since there is very little information on those. (they do seem to be really buggy at the moment though....)

Can you increaee ally convictions at all? Whether custom or no?
In general you cannot chance companion convictions except that in the beta there was story choice for a specific character that gave them heretical points if a certain dramatic decision was made. This may have been a bug as the same decision did not increase heretical in release. However once YOU hit tier 3 on any given conviction, all others are capped to 2. Also you will have companions leave you I believe if you go extreme (my experience so far is going heretical and having multi companions threaten to leave me by act 4).

@@LeeroyGaming If you go middle of the road and go Iconoclast 3, Dogmatic 2, & Heretical 2, do you still lose companions?

@@Bluejerra tier 3 doesn’t make you lose companions from all my testing. So 3/2/2 is safe, but I’d say that pushing one to an extreme definitely gets you some really unique events. Not on the same level as comparing Angel to Devil to Demon to Lich etc in pathfinder WOTR but there are def some cool things that happen that I won’t spoil here.
For DND players without any knowledge about WH40K I'd say: Dogmatic: Lawful Evil. Heretical: Chaotic Evil. Iconoclast: Neutral Good (as far as you can call anything in WH40K good that is). It doesn't fit perfectly or even great, but it's the best estimate one can give in my opinion.
It’s definitely not a “normal” scale. To the dogmatic they believe they are prolly lawful good as all xenos are evil etc. To the xenos they are lawful evil. And I think iconoclast could be seen as neutral good, although in this game it does seem to be all the choices that save people and steers away from all the “evil” options, so that is why I think it’s the closest thing to chaotic good. And I say chaotic because chaotic tends to be “pro freedom” and anti establishment/authoritarianism, which dogmatic most definitely is.
@@LeeroyGaming i agree... iconoclast is definitely 100% chaotic good (as every action taken thru iconoclast breaks the law which in this universe is basically evil but still the law) which means by breaking said law iconoclast is chaotic good because the law itself is evil and the very act of breaking the laws in the first place makes them chaotic.
i view chaotic good as more good than lawful or neutral good...
chaotic good is basically doing whatever it takes for the greater good of everyone even if that means breaking rules... aka if saving everyone required you to steal something you would steal something in order to save everyone and make sure everyone survives... i view this as more good than doing nothing simply because you refuse to disobey the law.
Your comment about “good” in 40k is the most pertinent. “Good” in the imperium case is annihilating billions of people off because of uncontainable heresy in most or major parts of a planet…then 5 minutes later going out for dinner and laughs with friends.

dogmatic is lawful good dude..... iconoclast is bleeding heart stupid that will let the cultist stay the night and get shanked for it. heretical is KoS.
If you go heretical can you recruit chaos marines or anything chaos related?

Here are quick tips for romances. Make sure you do their personal quests. Be careful how you answer interactions with romance candidates. You need to pick choices that fit their personalities/alignments for best results.
