One of the things I love most about this choreography (and a lot of Taemins other performances) is that rather then the female dancers doing different choreo or being there to dance up against they do the same dance as him. I think the dark sensual, a bit androgynous style suits him really well.

Yes, i am very happy about this simple but genious move obviously working to promote all dancers involved - He just works the front and as he is taller as a male he can realax and just be so genorous - GENTLE
we have the same thought, taemin's body was really meant for this dance. i searched up covers after seeing the performance videos, lets just say taemin really gives justice to the choreo.

you guys should try looking up sf9's yoo taeyang's cover! he does the choreography justice and not many idols can, so that says a lot.
Mark my words, the gender fluid outfits are gonna be the next trend. SHINee started many popular trends before. I won't be surprised if everyone starts dressing up like this or his other outfits from his solo concerts some of his outfits looked like they were meant for female idols but it worked so well on him.

Something that I think describes Taemin is "catlike", he's lithe, graceful, subtle and elegant, he just carries himself with that smooth and haunting aura of a black cat.

1. The theme of the song/album is 1980’s pop rock which also includes MJ indeed which always goes with Taemin. There was a lot of androgyny in the music scene back then; you should totally check out Modern Talking :) also check out the rest of Taemin’s album!
2. Koharu Sugawara, the girl in the couple dance scene in the main MV, is the choreographer who has worked with Taemin on Sayonara Hitori/Goodbye and Flame Of Love.

As a gay guy, I'm heavily impressed with this comeback. Taemin always blurs the gender norms in his work. He shows strength and masculinity in such a sensual, sexy way. He takes dances and concepts places that most male artists won't dare go. I'm so proud of him, and always awestruck by his work
malak love I agree. They are always so distinct. Whenever I try to listen to the new groups since 2012/2013 up to now, I felt like if not for their unique voices, they might even sound the same. Plus SHINee's choreography is intricately classy and chic. :)

Taemin definitaly found his own style and I love it. He is actually pretty recognized by famous dancers and in Korea in general als dancer. A lot of his collegues admire him for his dance. BTW your thought = my thoughts really! There is a whole album!
He is so dope and creative. He learned a lot of modern dances and he really likes to express it through his songs. Since the past, he really likes to dance and try new movement a lot. I'm so blessed.

Yes he even slays the seemingly easy dance moves. Not many can pull that off like he did. He is incredible.

Usually Taemin does his own dances and works together with Koharu, in the duo, honestly Taemin creates more artistic music and i love what he does it's so unique and well put together and oh my gosh i love it

That makes sense. David Bowie was pretty much the first male musician to genderbend so naturally and fearlessly. Taemin definitely has that flair for it, you can tell that it's something he's passionate about and comfortable with.

Honestly, I think I found my new favourite music genre..idk what the genre is but I need more songs that sound like it stat. I'm also absolutely loving his androgynous vibe he has going on it's amazing..like, it's so very feminine but so manly at the same time.

I'm in the middle of a K-pop desert, it's getting harder and harder for me to find music that I enjoy but this Taemin comeback KILLED IT for me. I love it. This and BtoB's Missing You are currently no.1 & 2 on my list of current stuff right now.

The aesthetic game he has going on isn't even funny anymore, like I legit cried watching Flame of love and Goodbye. These MVs and songs have shook me to the core.
His Korean releases don't disappoint either, Drip Drop and Press your number have AMAZING aesthetics and choreography. When people say 'king of dance' or 'king of aesthetics' they're 10000% right and I can't agree more tbh. I don't know if you already checked out his other solo stuff or not, but I honestly really recommend it, even if you don't react and watch it in your private time... especially the Japanese ones (they mostly get blocked so I wouldn't recommend taking your time reacting to them lol)

There is a huge difference between majority of k-pop artists and trendsetters, and Taemin definitely is a trendsetter. Doing his own sound and concept despite overall popularity of other genres in these times. Amazing. As a lover of 80s pop songs (and not just pop songs) this is just such a bop for me.

i love how the song and the choreo are pretty simple but it's so artistic and sensual. i love how he can give a maximum impact with a minimalistic song and choreo. i also love how feminine some of the moves are, very androgynous. it's fresh, it's new, it has never been done before. well done, taemin 👏
Honestly the thing I liked about Drip Drop was the dance. I'm not a dancer, never really been into dancing, but Taemin can dance in such a way that I can't take my eyes off it. I love it.
Taemin could hit me with a car and I'd tell him sorry. He's just so stunning. I don't think there is a song by him that I dislike. I get a Muse vibe from Taemin in all honesty. Taemin just has such the perfect body for that dance I definitely agree. His structure fits so perfectly with it and he's just made the dance so beautiful

I get chills every time i watch the MV, i just love it so much.
Loved the song. Reminded me of 80s n 90s pop that ruled the airwaves when I was younger. I was taken aback when the chorus dropped... It was so groovy n sensual. And taemin's moves... Gosh... So beautiful. Definitely his best solo release so far. Danger is also one of my fav K-pop songs of all time. This will be up there with Danger.
He has said years ago that MJ is a very big influence on him and his style. Except this time he took it several steps further haha
We're honestly so blessed with Taemin and his amazing dancing and vocals and just everything. He is my favourite solo artist by far, I just love his work so much. It feels like he just knows what fits him perfectly.
I love it so much, the more I watch it and listen to it the more it grows on me!! I think the dance points were his hips, shoulders and wrists and it was really nice to see that you don't always need fancy footwork to make an impactful dance. Sayonara Hitori and Flame of Love in this sense I think, did kind of lead up to this song in terms of movement. He is so fluid, so effortless that watching him feels like ART. Using female dancers in the background is nice because it keeps the attention on him (because he's what draws the eye) and it also emphasises and flows with the sultry notes in the song. I really like that he's doing different things and I can't wait to see more :)
Fun fact this dance is concerned one of the hardest K-pop dances because of the amount of control he had to have with every muscles and movement. If he messed up even a bit he's look either weird or hilariously like a fish just because the movements are so everywhere. It's so damn good like wow he's amazing at dancing.

Thank you for your refreshing reaction. Many reaction videos out there mainly focused on his dance moves, clothes and sexiness (of course who can overlook). But yours is more rounded with lighting, style, fashion, choreography, and everything! I mean Taemin's works definitely need to be recognized for their art elements and thoughts behind them. Also, I agree with your comment that Taemin is a rare chance to find in Kpop industry. Not that others are not good or unique, but Taemin does really stand out. I do believe that he has a long way to go and to the international market as well!

As someone who biases him, I couldn’t be happier with this review. Bless you. But as a viewer giving an unbiased opinion, I agree wholeheartedly. Taemin really reached heights. Didn’t give any fucks and truly paved the way for future Kpop generation...did something the current generation is constantly shying away from due to the unfortunate narrow-minded majority they’re surrounded by. I’m grateful that people like him exist to experiment and defy the norms. He looked androgynous and I’m all fucking about it. He took a great responsibly into his hands and effortlessly nailed it. It must’ve been a challenge and a great risk.

I hadn't thought about it before but you're right, Taemin is very unique. Not to mention the way he conveys sensuality and sexuality is unmatched (in my opinion). He started off amazing yet continues to get better each time, I can't wait to see what he brings in the future too. I'll be replaying this song A LOT.
He's right when he said that Taemin is an original. He's an all round performer, and he's very unique and different. He has his own sense of style and what he wants to create. I love the choreography in this video. It's beautiful. sensual and artistic. It's probably Koharu who also did the choreography for Sayonara Hitori. She's amazingly talented also, they're a dance match made in heaven to watch together. Taemin just keeps getting better and better as he advances in his solo career. I'm so proud of him. I am a fan of Koharu, so I am happy to go around spreading her name and gospel lolol. she's so great, her choreographies somehow capture and convey the emotion, the raw feel, and higher message of a song (or piece).
Her moves aren't always specific/rapid accurate movements like other kpop groups, her pieces are so full of emotion and feel
(I also think kpop NEEDS to include choreography credit in the MV's , esp since it's such a big part)
