I would have tried a/c stop leak first. I had one leak bad several years ago and stop leak in it, I watched it stop leaking. That was 5 years ago and it still blows cold.
Dave....I’ve come to the conclusion that’s there’s nothing you can’t repair... lol. That’s pretty awesome of you to help out everyone that you do...!! Keep up the great videos my friend!! Did I tell you I bought a 2015 JK Sport...? 👍.
Did mine without pulling the column. Dash never left my tj. Just rolled it out of the way. I've done alot of heater cores over the years and this was far from the worst. A Mopar minivan I did called for 10 hours book time. This really wasn't that bad.
Good job but when you charge the ac don't tip the can upside down because that charges as a liquid and liquid don't compress . Therefore it will spike the compressor and make the compressor bad .
2001 Jeep Wrangler, new to me. I am changing the evaporator and receiver dryer. Any recommendation on how much oil to add to the system? I am certain it has been leaking for quite a while, filled and refilled.
Hope all is okay with you and yours Dave. Haven't seen you posting for awhile since you posted this video and was wondering if you were still kickin tires. Take care.
Ok , key information would be how to get those pain in the ass heater core clamps off , how to set up the vacuum system, etc. But I guess I will figure it out. This truly looks like a bitch of a job to do. And thank you for the information you did provide.
hello , I need to ask you a mechanical question about jeeps, it is possible to put a six cylinder engine in a yj factory that brings a 4 cylinder, is that I have a yj 1993 of 4, and the engine is bad rings, and I want more power to use without problems the wheels 33 that I am using without losing power, so, I need to know if it is possible to put a 6 cylinders with an AX15 transmission in my jeep?
Kinda late reply but you can do it. You just have to modify some stuff. You would need to weld new motor mounts in the proper place, get a 4.0 ECM, a 4.0 wiring harness I believe, and a few other things
Excuse me sir I know this is off topic but can you tell me how you have liked the nissan nv200 so far ?Do you reccomend it and anything I should look out for while owning or upgrades I should do right away?
Nice Job. I just got done doing the same thing in my wife's friends jeep. Devon owes you big time.
You are a brave man, Sir Dave, tackling that job in the driveway. KEEP,.....!

somebody run out to the driveway and see if Dave is stuck under that Jeep!

I would have tried a/c stop leak first. I had one leak bad several years ago and stop leak in it, I watched it stop leaking. That was 5 years ago and it still blows cold.
From the looks of the port I could see that there was leak detector put in it so I guessed it was too far gone.
I'm doing this exactly including the rain right now 🤙🏼

Wow I'm impressed ……… How many hours did this job take between the rain......

Hey Rick ! - I think 5 hours possibly - I could do it much faster now .... until I forget again LOL
The two greatest days...the day you buy a Jeep and the day you sell a Jeep. Devin..Devin.. Devin save yourself.
Vern, Vern, Vern - shhhh dont tell him until it is too late - LOL
Yeah, gotta take apart the whole dash on TJ's and XJ's. Keep eating hotdogs.
Thanks Sam :) It wasnt my first choice but Jennifer did offer to "fix me dinner" hahaha

amzn.to/2B7f0Iq
Any new videos?
Where in the world is Dave? Dave's not here Mannnn. Hope he's Ok? Oh shoot.....Where's Randy???

Couldnt talk him out of it LOL
Excuse me sir I know this is off topic but can you tell me how you have liked the nissan nv200 so far ?Do you reccomend it and anything I should look out for while owning or upgrades I should do right away?
I hope he did not get that heater core from autozone..lol...
you know he did hahahaha
Watch it not be the evaporator? Dang
No wonder it cost $2000 dollars to put a heater core in a Jeep. Freaking engineers 😣
Aww who needs AC in Tennessee?
I know right ? LOL
Yea just tow it over to my place .
OMG they definitely don't want us to be able to work on our vehicle's.
A jeep is easier than some Ive done - I did a Jeep Liberty once that was a real pain :)
Wow!!!! And it only took you 7 minutes beginning to finish....hohohoho
I have no AC, lucky me :)
Robert - you can add it hahahaha
