‘The Brady Bunch’ Kids Reflect On Their Favorite Set Memories 40 Years Later - Розваги
The reason the Brady Bunch will always be popular is because they portrayed the kind of family we all want. Not that there was much realism, but for most of us who came from dysfunctional or broken families, the Brady family embodied everything you would want in your own family.
They were a dysfunctional, broken family that became a blended and happy one. That was the magic.
@@BonafideToolJunkie Don't forget the whole Johnny Bravo thing, there had to be a little herb that day too.
aviduser1961 I know what you mean! Compared to my family “The Addams family” and “TheMunsters” were normal!
@Paul Weatherby - Back then, cigarettes/smoking wasn't a big deal. Actually, it was the Brady's reaction to it being bad was what was new. None of us understood why it was bad because everyone was doing it back then....like pot is today. Now if they had found a joint in Greg's jacket, they couldn't even have put it on the air. Big difference in times.
Exactly!
for a woman in her 60s Maureen McCormick (Marcia) looks really good all these decades later!!!
You could see the age in that neck
@@MIS315 not many of us have a hold on youth.
@@johnharris7751 she had everything else done, face, hair, eyes, lips. May as well have went whole hog and had the turkey gullet stretched.
@Berry Harbour the many valleys and crevasses that line her neck. How can you not see it
but
The fact that these people are old now makes me sad. Marcia and Peter aged the best.
Marcia Marcia Marcia
Poor Jan, life never been kind on her.
We all get old. I mean the alternative is if your not aging your dead.
Beth Dale That's right , just some get older quicker than others. Prevention is better than cure. Meaning: stay out of the sun and no drinking, smoking etc. healthy eating and so on. 😎😎😎😎
Didn't Peter did a lost my hair TV commercial lol?
Susan nailed it when she called the show “comfort food.” The theme music, the family love, etc…it’s a hug from childhood. ❤
It's funny how Bobby and Cindy are the youngest yet looks the oldest
Lol Christopher didn't even get speak just for a second
Chances are either they smoked or drink and it took a toll on their looks or the older ones just took better care of themselves over the years I bet the oldest girl did she looks great
The youngest haven't gotten severe plastic surgery like Marcia (Maureen) obviously has.
Peter was the cool kid
@@susanb2015 ikr especially seeing her scary neck if see good enough
Susan Ryan Maureen looks phenomenal!
Susan looks like she just woke up after a night of hard partying
Yes, i agree. High as a kite!!!!! She cant keep her eyes open.
@@sharhonluster9888 Drugs do irreparable damage. Her skin is falling off her face.
I don't think Susan Olsen was or is a druggie. Just aged horribly. :(
Cam Williams she looks stoned🤤
Omg, this thread has me in stitches. Take it easy on baby Cindy Brady! ha.
As Eve Plumb said at the end, so many people (particularly immigrants) learned English and American culture from the show. I was one of them, growing up in the 70s.
I recently re-watched all the episodes with my daughter, she is 11 and loved it just as much as I did when I was her age. There isn’t ANYTHING on TV for families and children today, it’s nice to go back to a simpler time. ♥️
Lisa6812 Nostalgia can be wonderful, but please don’t let it rob you of seeing the good things around you today. To say there isn’t ANYTHING for families to watch today is completely wrong. Families still gather around and watch current shows together.
jaquen1977 Thank you, but we should t together as a family every night for dinner, and watch movies and tv shows together as well as at the show, I simple meant there are no family programs on tv for an 11 years old to watch as we had as children. The Beady Bunch was a huge part of my life, as well as all the great family shows in the 80’s , there is NOTHING like that... it’s all social media which my daughter has limited access too. But I appreciate your comment ☺️
I binged watched the whole series too recently. I wanted to be there with them even though it was just a show.
To that one person who disliked this... you’re not very groovy man
or woman,,,
Michael Bleck I used the word “person”. “Groovy Man” goes hand in hand that’s an anecdote ya dorkhorn!
It was probably Danny Partridge.
@@willmack5909 more likely Rueben Kincaid... Danny was too scattered to plan something like that out. RUEBEN, on the other hand, always got up into the business of others!!!!!
How DARE you assume gender!! (Sign of the times.)
Sad how we all get old . God bless us every one
Paul Mc Go i think this everyday 😩🙏🏾
@@pay4739 liol Paige
Getting older is sad because we all love how we look when we are young looking. We all want to stay looking like a teen forever...then we hit 40 and now we have gain weight dont look the same yet we compare our looks too.
Except Maureen McCormick😊she looks fantastic!
Some more than others lol...Marcia looks 10 years younger than Bobby and Cindy lol
Glad they even got Eve Plumb for interview!
Where’s cousin Olivia (Robbie rist) at ? He’s supposed to be part of this Brady bunch reunion to R.I.P. Florence Henderson, Robert Reed, and Ann B. Davis.
@@peregrino9154 - 🤪🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀👍👍
I’m in my 60’s and I still love this show just as I did as a kid. I wished my real family was like the Brady family. Great show and wonderful actors.
I'm 52 and I still love it!! My 13 year old son watches it with me everyday : ) Wonderful family, clean show and good morals. That doesn't exist anymore. I loved Mike Brady!! They were all a joy to watch!!!
I'm 27 and I like watching episodes of the Brady bunch it is so funny.
One of my favorite shows growing up.
Brady Bunch like a piece of Americana...dearly loved this family show, very special in a special time of time...oh, the memories 💗
The Brady's are and will always be a great American family.
I agree with what the people on the show said about why the show is still loved so much. It brings us back to a time that was much simpler then it is now. Life was not so complicated back then and much more carefree. A time when people REALLY talked to each other face to face, now people talk to others through cellphones, computers, which is nice but not like it was then. It was much more personal. Life was much easier then. But, I am glad I grew up when I did. It was the most incredible decade to grow up in the 70's.
Love The Brady Bunch, I always have. I have all 5 seasons on DVD. My kids now love it. Just a great show to watch and laugh and feel good afterwards.
That's exactly right! My husband and I are in our 60s and 50s, respectively. We have all five seasons on DVD, too. We love it. And it's funny. My husband is a tough 'cowboy' type who did not watch The Brady Bunch when it ran the first time, as he was a little older and already staring his life. And he is the last person you would think would like 'The Brady Bunch'. But I got him watching it and when he goes to bed first, I can hear 'The Bradys' on the TV (which we only have as a monitor for a few select DVDs) in the bedroom. He truly enjoys it and so do I. Clean and funny and appealing.
Did you get them on Amazon?
2:48 lol cindy look out of it
Big time
Cindy looks sauced! 😂
@@cjd9271 thats how she looks when she drank the night before this interview. Hangover!!
Cindy was making a reference to Bob Newhart and why he didn’t want to have children on his show when she made that comment of not having a stupid dad.
Davan Mani 3:11
Classic for sure! I am 59 and watched this into my 20's...yes, I'll admit that!!
Chris Hoddinott I am 54 and I still watch on Hulu and cbs app
One of the very few interviews that features all of the children.
I met Christopher Knight at the Morongo Casino back in 2015...I believe he was doing some kind of show there. I was an employee and made it a point to say hi to the man. I know this is going to sound strange/odd...but I felt overwhelmed by his humility, kindness, and genuine sense of politeness. It brought me back to when I watched the show as it was in it's first five years. The show was, for me at least, and oasis of respect and love that did not exist in our "family". The situation was actually pretty bad so the show was a portal to a life that I longed to be a part of. I remembered watching the show and wanting so bad to be treated like those kids were being treated...with love and respect. I don't think I made a good impression on Mr. Knight...I honestly felt overwhelmed and probably was really messing up what I wanted to say. The entire cast did an incredible job...and I'm sure that many others like myself, really appreciated the values that show manifested throughout it's five seasons. I'm just grateful I was able to meet him.
@Stephen - Don’t sell yourself short. I’m sure the impression you made was just fine. I also came from a dysfunctional and emotionally abusive household. Part of breaking that cycle and healing the emotional wounds is to stop telling yourself that you’re not good enough. Or that you didn’t do it right. So stop already. Your parents were lying to you. You’re fine and you’ve got things to say that are appreciated.
@@finster1968 much appreciation for your response/kind words
@@stephenalbertson8920 You’re quite welcome. Hopefully it didn’t come off as patronizing or too preachy. I’m sure you’re already aware of my points. But sometimes it’s nice to be reminded. All the best to you. 😀
Does Cindy/Susan need an intervention? 🍻 😂
David C looks cooked as
I was just thinking the same thing! What’s up with Cindy?
I do believe she has been open about a drug addiction in the past. Almost all of them have
David C My gosh. I’m watching. No life or joy in her posture, behind her eyes, or overall sitting energy. Positive thoughts and energy, Susan.
David C I know, right?
Love this show!! From my childhood and until this day I still watch it!! Hope they have a reunion again!!❤
Maureen always glances over and stares at Barry like she’s still genuinely in love with him. It’s sweet.
Maureen mccormick got her first kiss from Barry Williams when they were teenagers.
At the age of 56, I can be proud of my generation to appreciate the past.
Im in my 50s and this show was indeed a huge part of my childhood.
I remember the summer of 1975 (we lived in florida), our father asked us what amusement park we should go to. We chose Kings Island (over Disney) because of that Brady Bunch episode.
That was a classic episode what part of Florida were you in?
I was a Jan Brady guy. I loved me some Jan.
I always thought Eve was more attractive than she got credit for. Especially during the last couple of seasons. Maureen was just really stunning and her character played up the confidence. In real life, Eve’s own self esteem is actually much higher than Maureen’s.
@@finster1968 Eve had her own issues post-Brady Bunch, but Maureen really sank to rock bottom much worse because she was severely pigeon-holed. Eve has always kept her chin up, despite it all.
@@naturalpro2003 Agreed. Also, Jan had a more stable family. Maureen’s upbringing was a bit of a train wreck. And that didn’t help her post Brady Bunch either.
@@finster1968 That is correct. Maureen's family was all about making her a star. After the show, she tried everything to stay relevant. She dabbled in music, and dancing. She was not good at either. You can understand why she sank to an all-time low.
I loved watching this interview with all of the kids represented. I am 58 and I remember coming home from school to watch this show. Even though I knew it wasn't real, I wanted my family to be like them!
Christopher Knight and Eve Plumb both barely got about 30 seconds of air time while the rest of the interview was taken up by the other 4 actors.
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES GUYS.😍❤️👏🏻
I loved this show. Maureen McCormick looks great!
I do feel bad for Chris Knight that he cannot recall the Brady years (as I believe he has mentioned in some prior interviews). But I respect him more for being honest than making up stories as we have some entertainers do to draw interest towards themselves. So kudos to Chris Knight.
He really can't recall those years? Hmmm
He has said that? Wow - I’d love to see a clip. I get it, because the memories of my childhood is also very sketchy
No that is the boy who played Malcom in the middle who can't remember doing the show not Christopher knight
@@PhaedraMidnight - No, it was Chris. A few people corroborated my memory in a post I made two weeks ago in another video: ua-cam.com/video/hiMmi-SFEWw/v-deo.html&lc=z23ydxszbvbyxvdeqacdp43aazsii5qewacorilp0f5w03c010c.1555983802852821
MK Ultra?
It’s the 50th anniversary of the Brady Bunch this video was well needed but I needed it to be longer like an hour.
Susan Olsen reeeeaaaally needs to update that hairstyle.
The style may want updating but it's still attractive.
I grew up watching the Brady Bunch, The Waltons and Little House On The Prairie. Shows with families that respected each other. The parents were there for their kids, the kids were typical kids and respectful of their parents and cared about each other even when driving each other batty. They don't make family shows like this anymore and people look back at when times were simplier and maybe yeah there were problems but typical growing pains trying to find where you fit in with your family and friends. That's why shows like these and a few others have lasted.
Just fyi, the Brady Bunch was my introduction to Davy Jones and tte Monkees. The Monkees have gotten me through bouts of depression and anxiety. They're my go to when I need a pick me up and its from watching the Brady Bunch I was given that joy.
I miss those simpler days and going back for a visit now and then refreshes me. Rest in peace Florence, Robert and Ann.
Thanks to all of you for great memories.
Christina Burke The Monkees were the BEST!!!
Each of the pairs fit really well together. They seem similar. They understand each other. Whomever did the casting for the show should be well remembered. That's the key to the whole show. Finding the right people for the parts. Then writing that fits them and brings the right feel.
Chris was so deep and thoughtful when he finally opened his yapper at the end! I just had to pause and reflect on the meaning of life and the universe. Thanks Mr Knight for this mind boggling summary on why this show was the greatest sitcom that has ever graced the TV screen!
I’m 18 and I love this show!
It’s nice to see all of the kids together.
Wow in the late ‘70’s we as kids got to see this in syndication. I was too little when the show aired originally. But I loved watching it on Channel 5 WNEW NY.(if memory serves). Great memories of a time long gone.
Can not say it any better. was there in 69 when the show first hit the airways and I was there in 74 when it ended. you all are in are hearts forever. Thank You all for many years of happiness .
Really hope they open up the house for tours. Would be amazing to essentially walk through your childhood tv memories.
What a great show who could forget George glass, midnight temptress(the wig), Johnny Bravo, the amulet, and when Greg smoked a cigarette?😀😀😀
I have always loved this show 👍💗❤️😊👍👍👍😊❤️👍😊
Marcia is my favorite character I always wanted Carol and Mike to adopt me, attend school with Greg and live in the Brady Bunch house.
Rachel the booke Me too! *high five*
I appreciate that all six "children" were in this video. Loved this show growing up. I was four years old when it premiered. I remember laughing at the boys when they all got perms and being sad when I read in TV guide that the 1974 season would be their last.(I was a self taught reader at four years old, Go Dr. Seuss and dinosaur books!)
Was born in 72.. grew up on this show. Thanks for making me feel like I was apart of the family.
Love this show 😊 Watched it many times.
I agree with Susan Olsen. The Brady's did not have a stupid Dad, as do so many TV families today. They had two wonderful, intelligent parents who respected their children and each other, and they had siblings that respected each other and their parents. That is why the show is still popular to this day.
Maybe she means a dad like Al bundy lol
Tv dad's are made to look stupid so mom's look like better parents
The episodes with the girls were always the best imo, I also enjoyed Alice!
This was my favorite show as a kid. This footage is amazing to see how they each look now. The two youngest, now look like the two oldest. Crazy!
Five Dee I know, they've gotten so old....
I loved the Brady Bunch It was a Friday Night Staple
I will always love Brady Bunch favorite episode. Grand Canyon
I am 60. I loved Friday nights at 8:00 back in 1969, thats when i got to watch the Brady bunch, what nostalgia. Unfortunately some of us don’t age well including the Brady kids. Jan I admire, a very bright articulate woman. Greg looks so tired as does Cindy and Bobby. Life does it to ya. Love the Bradys.
Susan Olson (Cindy) just looks exhausted, as though she hadn't slept in days. The hair in the eyes was distracting, and I kept wondering how it couldn't be bothering her. Maureen has aged the best out of all of them.
I think Eve aged gracefully. The drugs/heroin caught up to Marcia. Cindy has unbelievable hair, strong and bouncy also her insight on the love they shared
I know. It's weird, but I don't mind getting old as much as it makes me sad to see the Brady "kids" getting old! I feel sorry for Barry for some reason. He seems sad and I wish him the best. I think they all look distinguished, though. Except for maybe Susan. Seems like she may have some issues.
utubeposter She really doesn’t have any issues. She just doesn’t care about ward appearances. She’s an open book. Google “Susan Olsen” and you will see many articles and videos about her and her life after “The Brady Bunch”.
Let this sink in: They’re all old enough now to be Florence’s parents at the age she was when the show first started.
OOF
I still like them!! Great real heart felt answers from the Brady kids. Mark in Milwaukee
A great part of the TV experience from my childhood and it is so nice to see them all together and as friends! :)
We didn't hear from Chris Knight the whole time, then quickly at the end " it's about family" haha. Was I the only one watching the other person face sitting there while their partner did the talking?? Pretty funny
You may want to remove your post after being enlightened by my post from one minute ago.
Happy 50th Anniversary to The Brady Bunch.
Christopher Knight has held up nicely. He’s a gorgeous man.
I still love the Brady Bunch!
@angelina angel both have passed away.
Awww👍loved the brady bunch, good to see all the kids are still here💚
The fact it was on in syndication all those years also contributed to its lasting popularity. Personally, I grew up watching the reruns about 10 years after they originally aired.
The Brady Bunch to me was my childhood! Wow...!! Did I love that show. I just started watching it again on MeTV
I started to watch The Brady Bunch years ago when I lived in Washington because my grandmother on my mom's side introduced me to it. It's really good to know that the kids on the show are still friends even decades later.
Christopher Knight still look good today!
They had a great house!! Who didn't want to live in that house? (aside from the one bathroom for the 6 kids, the house was awesome!)
Plus they had to number 2 in a pot.
such a classic! 👌
I taught & showed my 2 kids The Brady Bunch when they were young. They were born mid to late 90's & now in their early & mid 20's. They still like the Bradys!!
So glad were seeing the Brady Kids all again!! Keep it up!! Love them!!
None of them have a police record.
The Brady Bunch was my favorite show as a child of the late 70's early 80's along with Tha Magic Garden, but the bradys will always be my number one favorite show.✌❤
I enjoyed The Brady Bunch when I was a kid. It was fun, but I really loved the other show more The Partridge Family in the early 70's with Shirley Jones, Susan Dey and David Cassidy. Loved their on the road stories and all their music.
The Jupiter 2 🎶🎸"I think I love you, so what am I so afraid of, I'm afraid that I'm not sure of, a love there is no cure for..." 🎶🎸
Agree!!!
The bad thing about The Partridge Family was that it could have been done with only the 3 older kids. The younger 2 hardly ever got to speak and Chris Partridge actually was done by 2 different child actors. All 6 of the Brady Bunch kids are still with us.
Thanks for the great Brady memories.
Really cute! “Marcia” looks fantastic! “Greg” not so much. “Bobby,” such a dorky awkward kid, is quite the intellectual. Love “Jan” speaking her mind!
Oh please, he actually looks his age
I was not born yet when it aired only 2 when it ended in 1974. So i caught the reruns on channell 56 after school i was hooked on it. Yeh it just keeps going. Glad cast is gracouis too.
I loved the show in reruns because I was born in 1972 here in Toronto Ontario Canada
Watching this show today takes me back to simpler times, it's my escape.....the world was much better back in the 70s!!!
Those of us who didn't have stable households and loving families marveled at how 8 people could do it. It was because they communicated or learned how to. Dad never went ballistic at the kids. Mom was always there and cared about their grades and intersibling rivalries, among others. Then you had their 2nd mom aka Alice who always had cookies at the ready and always made all that food. She cared deeply for them as well.
So we saw that and felt how genuine it all was.
They don't make the shows like they use to.Oldies are the goldies. The morality and family values were the essence in these masterpieces of sitcoms.Always will love the Brady Bunch.
Greatest days. ❤️
Eve Plumb looks great! So classy and beautiful.
Indeed she does💕
She came in to her own
I think Peter was the cutest boy out of the three.
I want this show back
A little of that background music goes a long way! Always great to see them.
I LOVE THIS VIDEO !!! 6 Stars for each Brady kid 🌟Greg , 🌟 Marsha , 🌟 Peter , 🌟 Jane , 🌟Cindy & 🌟Bobby & 2 Thumbs Up to this video 👍👍
JAN
It was a great show with a great great cast and you wanted to watch every week.
It was pretty obvious that you guys had good chemistry and so many young people nowadays they hope they have families like that.
Be honest watching The Brady Bunch kind of made me feel like maybe it's possible to have a happy family.
I am 40 and it was this show that made me think life did not have to so lonely and hopeless.
If your old enough Leave It To Beaver falls into this same category. A classic great show
I always watched this show
Hear me hear me.....if you two ever read this, you guys were a part of my very fabric of growing up.Yes it was just "Tv"....but listen............you all have bonded far beyond tv into what I would call a real family.God bless it all.I met you Barry at the Harrisburg Farm show, and Maureen you look awesome and love you like I did in 74 at the end of the tv run.......Thank you all for being such a part of my growing up.
I love Eve and Chris. I love all six of them, but Eve, and Chris are my favorite's.💞💞
My favorite song from the Brady bunch is sunshine day
It is very rare to have a show that solved all your problems in 30 minutes.
The kind of family I wish I had.
I love how they are still a family after all these years. No family is like the Brady Bunch, but the whole cast built a family like the Brady Bunch!
By the way, you ALL are wonderful!! Thank you for the great times... then and now!!
Great show I miss it.
time makes us all old
Oh my gosh i was only 6 years old when that show came on the Air WOW!! That show I still watch because yeah im 56..yrs.old but hey they do not have clean television like this any more..
